As for Pashtuns hating Pakistan, I don't believe it. I believe the Pashtun Nationalists would though, I believe there's some errors the Pakistani Army has made, but I don't think there's any overall hatred of Pakistan from real Pashtuns in Pashtun lands. They would be self hating in that case.

It's a matter of opinion. I could equally claim as valid that Pashtuns love Pakistan. Certain characters on here might disagree, but it's an irrelevant sample.
Roadrunner you have been on this forum for a few weeks and all of a sudden you are passing judgments like this lolzz. A while back you were confused or busy in trying to wrap your head around what a pashtun is and now you are talking about its politics. Majority of us are from Pashtunkhwa, granted some are here studying abroad, but there are members who were there during your army's operations (or were they mistakes)...and maybe not every Pashtun dislikes Pakistan, but there are a sizeable number that either want another route or have a major bone to pick with this army and state. These are not mistakes, they are at best policy blunders at worst complete malfeasance towards our lands. I am quite frankly sick of this south asian bitter rivalry and I would like that you all keep it at the wagah border and away from Pashtun/Afghan lands. Zamung zaeno tha lag wakht thaer kii ao naasth dee noro tha pashto ya pradae ttaakaee.

The indian members already say they are indian (i think it is time you admit that you are a pakistani as well, unless you already have). We welcome everyone here.

              • I quite like Pakistan.

But I also quite like Afghanistan.

India is a bit of a terrorist in the region with the Kashmir issue imo.

LoL. People here are not fooled by the propaganda of a Paki rat. This aint Panjab, homie .
[no offense to other Pakistani friends, this is the only person I find offensive. How he glossed over the Bangali genocide by his terrorist army in another thread, and now shedding crocodile tears for Kashmiri brothers and sisters. ]

Isn't it a little ironic you of all people calling me a rat, when you folk in the Ganges bathe in your own faeces and sleep with rats?

I suggest you stick to the topic.

You're welcome to discuss India's land grab of Kashmir, which is terrorism and gives rise to like minded terrorists.

If you want to get involved in a word slanging match, trust me I have a lot of juicy words for you dung chomper.

                    • Er.. sorry for insulting a rat . I presume, "Paki" should suffice.

Ah.. tempting, but I wouldn't go down in the gutter to catch a ra.. err.. Paki !

                      • An Indian, particularly a Hindu Indian calling a Pakistani of any religion (not that I am one necessarily) a "rat", is simply hypocritical.

It is a known fact you sleep with monkeys, chimpanzees and bathe with rats.

Therefore, the word is a self-insult.

Now I suggest you go away and control your hormones, assuming you have any given the recent surveys carried out on Indian men's physical inadequacies.

Yeah, how dare India terrorize it's own land while Pakistani government very bravely had terrorized every other neighboring country already? And maybe some of your people should have taken a nap with rats instead as well, maybe you wouldn't have had Hira Mandi today.

                          • Kashmir belongs to neither India nor Pakistan - Kashmiris.

Even Omar Abdullah last week said that he believes his country never merged with India. Coming form someone like him, it means a lot.

Therefore, to assert that Kashmir is India's own land (or Pakistan's for that matter) is an insult to the memory of tens of thousands of Kashmiris who have died as a result of Pakistani and Indian state-sponsored terrorism. Despite the propaganda on PTV, Pakistan wants Kashmir only for its waterways and its strategic-position on the world map. It's the same with India. The real owners of Kashmir, its inhabitants, have time and again showed that they want nothing to do with either of the two foreigners trying to take over their country.

Kashmir is the tragedy of our age. No one cares about it. Pakistan ships Gilgitis and Pashtuns there to freeze to death on the heights of Kargil and I don't need to mention what the Indian 'security' forces do there.

                            • ^ Can you see India EVER shifting its position on Kashmir?

Much as I respect India for it its deep and ancient history and its forward looking outlook, India would be at pains to let go of Kashmir.

Perhaps India is better off without Pakistan, but there are still Indians who harbour a return to a past United India and perhaps see the letting go of Kashmir as another break that it could well do without.

Kashmir remains a tragedy and one of three thoughts comes to mind:

                              1. Partition remains unfinished
                              2. Partition gave birth to Pakistan and a false sense of Muslim separatism, so it was wrong from the outset
                              3. India and Pakistan could both be further broken up to let everyone go their own way

                              • Brother has raised some very good points.

                                1. Partition can never be 'complete'. It's unnatural and therefore, it will never have any sort of an 'end'.

                                2. I think Kashmiri separatism is not an offshoot of the two-nation theory. In fact, many states did not want to be part of India or Pakistan in 1947. Things just happened too suddenly. Take Balochistan and Malakand, for example. They didn't join like Sind and Punjab. The Tamils had to swallow a lot of nationalist pride to become a part of a never-done-before Indian state. Or look at Assamese separatist assertions. The state of Hyderabad had to annexed by force. Kashmir is one of those cases instead of being from those influenced by nonsensical Muslim separatism. I feel for Bengalis - having to see their ancient homeland divided over people's favorite deities. Perhaps the difference here is that the Kashmiris haven't given up yet.

                                3. That would be ideal but that's not how it is in the real world. As a neo-realist specializing in game theory and the mathematization of public opinion, you, of all people, should know that the institutional forces gelling these states together are powerful beyond one man and his idealistic thoughts.
