  • Nato kills 6 Afghan policemen

*KHOST: An Afghan police commander said that Nato helicopters killed six community police on Friday as the military announced it was sending a team to investigate the charges.
Dozens of Afghans demonstrated in the eastern city of Khost alleging Western military helicopters killed the officers. Police sought to calm their anger. A unit of community police, a militia-style force recently launched to fight Taliban in remote villages, opened fire on a Nato helicopter, Khost provincial police chief Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai told the crowd.
“The helicopter returned and dropped bombs on them and killed six Arbakis (community police),” he added. From its headquarters in Kabul, the US-led Nato military known as the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said its helicopters killed five men armed with weapons.
“The ISAF helicopters identified a group of individuals with weapons moving from a previously identified enemy position near Sinzai Kalay village. “As a result of this operation, ISAF is aware of civilian casualty allegations and ISAF Joint Command is sending a joint incident assessment team to look into those allegations.”

Good one. You made me laugh with the GTA example, but unknown gunmen also killed a scholar who was offering a prayer in Kandahar. As far as these disasters go, people of Afghanistan are immune to it.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

        Not surprising at all.

So those policemen opened fire on a NATO helicopter....and the helicopter goes back and sends down bombs?!

as far as investigating goes...how pathetic. I doubt it will actually go through investigation

That is so sad. But I do give props to her maharam for speaking up. Usually, they wont, since it supposedly protects 'honor.'

You know, back when i was at my visit. I heard a story about a beautiful, intelligent 16 year old school girl that was raped by an American soldier. And she even had gotten pregnant. She had committed suicide when she found out she was pregnant.

That is the most awful thong I've heard in a while .. That poor girl may Allah grant her peace

@Admin Khan..no one should have to get immune to such barbarism man, the government needs to stand behind the people .. Staying quiet won't grant you immunity rather your allowing them to set a very dangerous precedent

So the policemen shot at the Nato helicopter, and got bombed? Sounds like a cover up.

Laila, have you heard more stories about this.
Wrora, it has happened to many young ladies back home. Many have kept themselves quiet to protect their family status. Which to me, is the stupidest thing to do. And many of those young ladies have chosen to commit suicide

I am not too sure about abortions back home. Personally, i am not convinced with much of their medical supplies and technology. They would have to go to places like Pakistan or India

I am sorry to have ruined your night. I dearly did not intend that. But wrora, that is the reality of it, the reality of injustice and cruelty.

When i was in Laghman and Kabul, soldiers are around on foot, walking around. So i am not sure how they come close to females without the public seeing them....but, it happens.

No war is fought in space like a video game that there will not be any casualities. It is not good to condemn collateral damage by the NATO forces. These forces are preventing AFGHANISTAN to become the fifth province of Pakistan. This way Afghans will not be used as guinnea pigs for another proxy war by Punjabis and Arabs with the help of sold out religeous demagogues and bigots.

When you dont keep up with the pace of the world and keeps listening to the psychopath and sold out clergymen amongst you instead of listening to your scholars, scientists, engineers , doctors and technologists etc then you are destined to face the music in various forms.
