  • Flood devastated Pakistan purchases War Weapons

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and China have made yet another landmark achievement in expansion of their long and unwavering bilateral defence cooperation when Beijing delivered the third of the four F-22P frigates PNS SAIF to Pakistan Navy on Wednesday.
Sources in Pakistan Navy informed TheNation that the newly built warship of the Sword Class series constructed by Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard Shanghai was delivered in a colourful and impressive ceremony.
“Pakistan Navy has already embarked on its plans to get the fourth ship constructed at the Karachi Shipyard which is progressing satisfactorily as per schedule “, sources informed, adding the move would greatly help the country to achieve self-reliance towards defence of its territorial waters.
F-22P Frigates are equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and sensors. The ships also carry Z9EC helicopters onboard. Addition of these ships has strengthened PN Fleet with much needed capabilities while contributing in enhancement of country’s shipbuilding capabilities.
Named as PNS SAIF, the ship is third of its series of four F-22P Ships. Design and construction of these ships started in year 2005 after signing of a contract between Ministry of Defence Production and China Ship Building and Trading Company (CSTC).
Under the contract, three ships were to be constructed in China while the fourth ship at Karachi Shipyard under Transfer of Technology arrangements. First and second F-22P ships named as PNS ZULFIQUAR and PNS SHAMSHEER have already been commissioned in Pakistan Navy.

Its really sad seeing the country in such a state. Once we Afghans were reliefed thinking if we cant make it in Afghanistan then we got our brothers in Pakistan. But seeing them in even worse state makes me really worried for Muslim countries. What if all Muslims end up in this position and West is up to closing its doors for us? Where should we go in that case? I cant say its not our own fault because if the Pakistan politics wasnt hungry for money then us and Pakistan could have been great friends. Its just sad, this situation. All I got to say.

It would be nice for you to do some researchfor a change and know that PNS Saif was part of an on-going Pakistan Navy upgrade that was initiated signed and paid for wayy before the floods came

Also this was the third frigate in the series, the last one will be built in Pakistan at Karachi. The first three were built in China
It's enough that I know, Our time had a home, In your heart..Was a place..But the glass always breaks..

What is so ironical about Pakistan is that it is always very enthusiatic about warfare and hostilities but has abysmal record when it comes to matters of protecting its people from natural calamaties, epidemics, famine or health related issues. It will spend billions of dollars over war weapons but very little over the well being of the people, it is literally a security state, and the status of Pashtun, Baloch, Sindhi, Seraiki people is far worse. We witnessed this during the 2005 earthquake when people were being rescued from a building in Islamabad using using hammers and iron wedges. Pakistani agencies were even unaware of the mass devastation of Balakot where these were foreign sources which informed them about the extent catastrophe. Same happened during recent floods where millions of people got devastated but they had no boats to rescue the people.
