Vice Chancellor of Islamia College University Doctor Ajmal Khan has been kidnapped by unknown men from Professor Colony in Peshawar on Tuesday. According to initial reports, Police has cordoned of the area and has started search operation for the safe release of Doctor Ajmal khan.
Police said, 2 suspects have been arrested so far during the search operation in Hayatabad area of Peshawar.

I know ANP government will do it best to recover him however, as farahi Sahib is till now not released, then how ANP will be able to release Ajmal Khan sahib.

ANP will try extremely hard to release him but my concern is more with the intention of this kidnapping. I hope its not the Taliban because they might end up making a serious demand and put his life in a series of negotiations. There are many possibilities here but this is the problem, the minute you criticize an element of any Govt where freedom of speech hardly exists, your life might be at risk. I really hope the case with him isn't as complex as we described. I understand that he is a nationalist but he might be used as a tool to release prisoners. Nonetheless, He is a human and we should demand all innocent people to be released and defend their rights.

Are there any specific articles of his that you might think raised an eyebrow for opposition?

I have a neighbour in my village and he was wounded while putting a bomb in an NGO (Da khwayando Kor) office early in the morning after Salata-e-fajr. They were three people one was died on the spot and another two were wounded. He was under the army custody and then at the end court announced life imprisonment for him. However I will say that his rest of family are compeltely innocent in this whole game. He was released within one year with such a deal. Then how we can say, that with such deals innocent people will be released. If Muslim Khan is innocent, If Mullah Omer of Bajaur is innocent, If Hakimullah mehsud is inoocent, and if Fazlullah is innocent, or sufi muhamamd is innocent, then I see no criminal in thsi whole world.

If he was a self-proclaimed nationalist, I can imagine the Taliban being behind this one for their own intrinsic benefits, better yet they might do it to get a few of their close buddies out from Pakistani custody. What doesn't click to me is the timing, I mean for God's sake how could one commit such an act of shame in Ramadan? I agree with your last part since the term "innocent" can be described in different ways by many different people, some might even go as far as saying Osama Bin Laden is innocent. So with that being said I absolutely agree with your 2nd part.

I just want to know the reason(excuse?) for the gang who kidnapped him.

He had brought Islamia college near to bankruptcy. he recently terminated 200 class 4 employees. when I was student at Islamia college every student was getting scholarship and now Islamia college one of the leading learning institution of khyber pukhtoonkhwa has no money to pay utilities etc.

Khayal sahib this thread is the condolence thread for his kidnapping. If you wanna discuss his talent and adminsitratorship, then it is a separate topic. I know the islamia college and its adminsitration from very close as well. I know his talent and the work he did for islamia college. but here we are discussing this brutal act of kidanpping, and if a person cannot write a sentnce condemning such an act and start his post with dont worry, for me it means that it is ok if he is kdinapped.
