Why are you twisting your statement? This is what you said. You were clearly referring to the case.Originally posted by Millatpal Noorzai View PostHis intention was not to kill but he severely stabbed that led to death, the judge is not seeking a capital punishment but disability which is not death, equivalent to the 2nd degree murder/manslaughter part of your argument.

You earlier said that when someone murders, they should not be given a second chance. I brought the issue of intention.
With respect to this case, the victim was not murdered. Secondly, the victim was part of the fight. Thirdly, what good is it for the society to paralyze him? Has past retributions brought any good for the Kingdom? It is a corrupt society.
You are not looking at this case with a sound mind, you are too emotional based on your beliefs. You got to step out of yourself for a moment and ponder the repercussions this might have on the society at large.

My post to Amna was irrelevant,it was just an explanation of "second chance".

When I said emotional, I referring to your conclusions being based on your religion and not comment sense.
Your post to amna is very relevant to the overall discussion. Very relevant.
In the secular world, murder is judge based on intention. Not the actual deed. Further, one must look at this situation and ponder why would we want to have two paralyzed people which will drain resources and make the lives of many others miserable.
I feel bad that one had to be paralyzed. I am pretty sure that his loved ones are suffering because he now needs special care. Why would we want this to happen to another family. These types of revenge taking are very archaic.
The man who was paralyzed should take his revenge by going to different parts of the Kingdom to promote: Stop to violence. He should voice his experience. It will help a lot of people in turn.Last edited by Guest; 08-21-2010, 05:56 PM.
