A top US official in the fight against the Islamic State group has quit over President Trump's decision to pull troops from Syria, reports say.
Brett McGurk, the US special presidential envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat IS, brought his departure forward from February.
Before Mr Trump's announcement he had insisted that the US would continue working against IS in Syria.
It follows the resignation of Defence Secretary Jim Mattis on Thursday.
Gen Mattis had also opposed withdrawing troops from Syria as well as reducing the US presence in Afghanistan.

After the caliphate: Has IS been defeated?
    Who are the Kurds?
Mr McGurk is an experienced diplomat who was appointed to his current role in 2015 under the Obama administration.
In early December he told reporters: "We want to stay on the ground and make sure that stability can be maintained in these areas."
He went on to say: "It would be reckless if we were just to say, well, the physical caliphate is defeated, so we can just leave now. I think anyone who's looked at a conflict like this would agree with that."

I still think this is about the wall. He did all this to piss off the GOP for not giving him money for the wall.

Obama wanted out also. It's the system that has been put in place to steal the national treasure. Getting out of the ME will piss off many people who make money of the war particularly the MIC. But you have to remember the MIC has an agreement with other industries that the democrats lobby for. It's like for every dollar you get, we should get also, and when one side gets more, that's where the conflict starts. When they talk about Bi partisan, they are talking about stealing the pie together.

Remember Trump is a wild card. He is not Obama.

I think he will stick to his insticts. In fact, the more the neocons and liberals oppose him, the more he will stick to his ways

CNN which is a dem industry media wing has non stop publicity about how bad it would be to leave Syria. The reality is how bad it would be for the people making money off the war. They wouldn't be able to get drunk from the finest wines and snort the finest cocaine.

neocons and liberals have united against Trump.

Fox and CNN are both opposing Trump in wanting to end the wars
