Military Chiefs of Iran, Pakistan Call for Action on Rohingya Crisis

    September 17, 2017 - 12:01
Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri and Pakistan’s Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed concern about the ongoing Rohingya Muslim crisis in Myanmar, calling for Muslim world action to help end the plight of the Muslim minority.

In a telephone conversation on Sunday, the two top generals discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries’ armed forces to help the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
They also called on the Muslim world to do more and help stop the “unfavorable” and “inhumane” situation of the Rohingya community in the Southeast Asian country.
Baqeri and Bajwa further said that military and non-military organizations of Muslim countries could mobilize their forces and facilities to speed up the dispatch of humanitarian relief to the persecuted Muslims in Myanmar.
The Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar have long faced severe discrimination and were the targets of violence in 2012 that killed hundreds and drove about 140,000 people from their homes to camps for the internally displaced.
On September 12, the UN refugee agency said the number of Rohingya Muslim refugees that have fled recent violence in Myanmar has spiked to about 370,000.
Earlier, the UN top human rights official accused Myanmar of carrying out “a textbook example of ethnic cleansing” against Rohingya Muslims.
Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, the UN high commissioner for human rights, said the military’s “brutal” security campaign was in clear violation of international law, and cited what he called refugees’ consistent accounts of widespread extrajudicial killings, rape and other atrocities.

      What a joke.

Iran pressures and sends thousands of vulnerable refugee Afghan boys to fight and die in Syria as cannon fodder while Pakiland committed genocide in Bangladesh against 3 million Bengalis and is waging proxy war against the Muslims in Afghanistan.

Both of their talk is cheap and is just a smoke screen to try and put a human face on their ugly regimes.

Burma is committing crimes against humanity, however, it is a fact that Rohinghya are Bengali settlers that were brought to Burma during the "British Raj". They will never be accepted there by the native Southeast Asian ethnic groups of Burma. It is better that they are taken in by Bangladesh and given support and aid to rebuild their lives there. Otherwise, they will always face racial conflict by the natives ethnic groups of Burma.

Bangladesh is too poor and backwards to help so called 'Rohingya' on their own, but truth is that these people are indeed Bengalis and their forefathers migrated to Burma from Bengal.

Bangladesh should take them all since Rohingya are their own people, but international assistance should be given to both the Bangladesh government and to the refugees so that 'Rohingya' can rebuild their lives in Bangladesh.

Burma must also send money and compensation to Bangladesh and to the 'Rohingya'. But they shouldnt be sent to Burma, it is clear that they do not belong there and will never be accepted and live in peace there.

'Muslim' countries making a fuss about Rohingya have been failing 'Muslim' refugees from Palestine to Syria to Afghanistan to Nigeria to Somalia etc etc etc for decades. Dont take their rhetoric on 'Rohingya' seriously. This has nothing to do with religion, and even if it did, the track record of 'Muslim countries' failing all of the above mentioned conflicts and more is amply proof that regimes like Iran etc and dirty countries like Pakiland are not credible at all and should shut their mouths about 'Rohingya' and not try to exploit this conflict to make themselves appear 'humanitarian' when they are not!
