India arrests 15 for celebrating Pakistan's cricket win

Police in central India have arrested 15 Muslim men and charged them with sedition - punishable by life in prison - for celebrating Pakistan's victory over India in the Champions Trophy cricket final.

The men, aged 19 to 35, were arrested in central Madhya Pradesh state's Burhanpur district after locals complained that they shouted pro-Pakistan slogans and lit firecrackers after the match ended on Sunday night.

"We received a complaint from a local Hindu man who accused them of celebrating after India lost the match," Burhanpur police chief Raja Ram Parihar told the AFP news agency.

The accused have also been charged with criminal conspiracy, the officer said, adding the celebrations continued for hours in the sensitive locality. The village where the incident took place has a 60 percent Muslim population.

The men were presented before a court on Tuesday and sent to jail pending trial.

In India, sedition is an offence which may result in the surrender of passports, ineligibility for government jobs, and even life imprisonment.

Traitors should be stripped off of their citizenship privileges too. These are the people who won't hesitate from spreading terrorism behind closed doors to prove their loyalty to others too.

Nothing says cowardice and a nation's lack of self esteem than people who think supporting someone else's cricket team is sedition. Haha

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Indians take defeat to Pakistan very poorly.

I remember in the mid-to-late 90s, one of the contributing factors to the reasons I began thinking poorly of India was that in some test game, in India, they were losing to Pakistan. It was clear they were going to lose. Audience started throwing bottles into the pitch, onto the Pakistani fielders.

People who don't know **** about the importance or dynamics of a society, should keep their mouths shut about such things. Supporting or celebrating the win of a Pakistani cricket team in India is not similar to being a Messi or Ronaldo fan. It's not just a sport to them.

If an Afghan was celebrating the win of some Pakistani sports team in Afghanistan, he won't last half a minute. If a Pakistani was celebrating the win of an Indian team in Pakistan, he won't last half a minute either. This is not just about tolerance. This is something way beyond that and ****tards who have never stepped foot in to either one of these countries, will remain clueless about the sensitivities of such issues.

You can be tolerant about celebrating the success of each other only when you are on friendly terms with each other on at least 30% of other things. When the soldiers of the country that you have chosen to be a citizen of return back to their homes in coffins and bullets in their chest from the duety of serving you and protecting your independence, your tolerance becomes betrayal.

This is why your country is ****'d up, full of sinister psychopaths like you that relate everything to lasting half a minute with other people that happen to have a different opinion.

To be fair... all these countries are ****ed up. Pakistan with it's blasphemy laws, and honor killings. India isn't much different, and neither is Afghanistan.

That said, it's just funny watching India squirm like this. Look at this:

This was done at Wagha Border or in an... - Pakistan Affairs

                          And then

Indians Crying and breaking TV's | Pakistan vs India - YouTube

Fans React To India's Loss To Pakistan By Breaking TV: Khabare Superfast - YouTube

First there's that video of the indian soldier shot up and about to die... then the fake surgical strike... then the RAW agent, who's death penalty is yet to transpire... THEN India LOST to Pak in the final... OUCH

This goes to show that the little Pakhtun genes in Pak makes such a difference. None of that kaala punjabu mainoo thwanday naal BS. Pak lost their first game because they had 100% bundu team. After that they changed it. In the final, while they had only 2 Pakhtuns, it represents 18% of the team... with one of them scoring over a century while batting. The india sympathizing, anti real Pakhtun (ie lar Pakhtun), traitors should be concerned... they probably cried at Pak's victory.

Oh what pretentious horse manure, trying to make a a defense for irrational antics, as if this were the 1940's Olympics against the Nazis. But of course, social dynamics, I guess Farkhunda's lynching by the mob was justified now because of social dynamics right? She should have known better!

If the "social dynamics" of a country doesn't understand what sportsmanship is about; then maybe they shouldn't be playing the game.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."
