  • Gunmen kill five female Afghan airport staff in Kandahar

Five female Afghan guards working in the airport in southern Kandahar were killed by unknown gunmen as they were on their way to work, security officials said on Saturday, the latest in a string of attacks against women in Afghanistan.

From bomb attacks to targeted or honor killings or domestic abuses, Afghan women have borne the brunt of the 15 years of conflicts during the Taliban-led insurgency as security has deteriorated and violence has increased in most parts of the country.

Samim Khpulwak, spokesman for the governor of Kandahar, said the five women were in charge of searching female travelers at the Kandahar airport, and had been hired by a private security company.

"Two gunmen on motorbike followed their van and opened fire on them, killing the five and their driver this morning, said Samim.

No group has claimed responsibility for Saturday's attack.

^ it's a war, not a line up at the amusement park that you want women and children excused.

they thought putting on shrouds over their heads will help spare them. it didn't. maybe they didn't have a passion for work but just needed the income. why do people living in places like that, knowing they are not going to last long, cry when stuff like this happens to them??

War is a game between men. Even during war there should be something called honor. Killing innocent people, despite being comprehensible from a political point of view, its morally talking its disgusting.

what is so ethical about ending another life?? if wars were concerned with ethics and morals, we wouldn't be having a problem in the first place. you can't be just sitting on your tush and hoping for others to be ethical about their wars.

i have always wondered why a middle aged man's life is considered less valuable than that of a newborn or some woman. ( specially one whose list of skills contains nothing but smacking cow dung on walls)

Females were/have been gatherers and home makers since antiquity, important skills if you ask me, slapping cow dung against the wall makes the aspazkhana lit, most Afghan women in Afghanistan already have a hard time surviving, I guess bombing those innocent souls would make those retarded incels achieve 72 virgins and paradise.
