    khudai de obakhi

The people who have done this or paid someone do it, need to know that Pashtuns are known for their Badal and it won't be forgotten.

Did he do anything too provocative or piss of some people?

Guys like him smash Peshawar_222's narrative apart.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Why not? set up a secret assassin crew and exterminate the people who have ordered this or their family members, the Talibs do it all the time to NDS officials.

Taliban is an organization with reach and thousands of members, while Wazir was some dude on his own.......his family and relatives will retaliate against whom? we are talking about the state here. This is not some feud between family A and Family B. Taliban gathered thousands of people around them to go against the state and had ideology to back them up. Whats this guy's family has?, they will be under watch now.

Vast majority of Wazirs and Mahsuds are very patriotic Pakistanis and pro-establishment.Gul Khans, if you may call them.
So I don't see how you came up with that statement.

Couldn't the killing be attributed to a rival political group etc?Rather than blaming the Pak authorities.

According to Marwat he is a member of PMAP so he is not on his own. They doesn't have to take on the whole army, foot soldiers are not to be blamed. They can target family members of who ever is in charge. Its not very Islamic but as they say all is fair in love and war. These people need to be taught a lesson, people can't live in a police state especially when the police themselves are corrupt to the core. He was assassinated without a trial, his killers deserve the same treatment.

...with grievances and grudges against the state. True they are not exactly burning flags of Pakistan or not boycotting national anthem of Pakistan.....but they have immensely suffered due to military operations in their areas and they have not a shred of love and respect for the army. They are usually under supervision because of their ties with TTP but i can understand why they eliminated this young man with Afghanistan flag on his chest even though he was not a militant........such men in a wrecked region like Waziristan, are considered far greater threat and danger than TTP......Pashtun separatists from Wazirsiatn, thats the thing they will dread most, and fortunate for them Waziristanis harbour no such feelings

But again the problem is "Who will do this " as Samandri stated it is not between Tribe A Vs Tribe B. PMAP if they hold up weapons will then no longer be considered as Political parts and it will cause them more loss.Do you know Shahpur bro the governor of Baluch province is Achakzai bro. What you are saying is practically not possible since there own tribe will not stand up against this.. Point being they can easily say LOOK he was instigating movement for separation..Look his flag on his chest..Wazir tribe has grievances due to hardship they are facing because of operation..But then again either they want to revolt against state or Army ( so far no indication) ...As samandri bro said Taliban has thousands of foot soldiers who follow there ideology and strike ANA..

Most people in waziristan are good people . There are some bad apples who gave sanctuaries to TTP due to which the whole area had to suffer . You cannot blame Army for operations because we have seen a calm in Pakistan since a couple of years with 80 % reduction in terrorist attacks . So zarb e azb was justified . Its no different to what Turkey is doing in kurdish populated areas .
