  • Iran Financially Supported Karzai

Hamid Karzai admits office gets 'bags of money' from Iran | World news | The Guardian

Hamid Karzai has admitted that his chief of staff collects "bags of money", containing hundreds of thousands of euros, from the Iranian government each year.

The Afghan president told a press conference that the cash was used to pay his office expenses and that he was happy to take large sums from Iran, Afghanistan's most important ally and the main regional enemy of the US.

"This is nothing hidden," Karzai said. "We are grateful for Iranian help in this regard. The United States is doing the same thing. They're providing cash to some of our offices."

For the record, what was doing the tribal terrorist leader of the Taliban in Iran before being turned into kebab by an American drone few months ago? Is your terrorist movement in cahoots with the Iranian fascist regime? Just asking.

No idea bro. On the one hand you got Papa K above saying it in cold print... but who knows? In history we know even Nelson Mandela was called a terrorist by **** Cheney and we see how that went I guess Stephen Kinzer would say eye of the beholder and all that business.

Real question is how Abdullah, Ghani, and that Jew looking one with the crazy eyes ... (what's his name ? Oh yea Amrullah, that's him...) whether their mouth forms a perfect "O" for auto fellating anytime an Injun or Persian walks by like Papa K above?

What's hilarious is even with all that "loving on a bended knee" those boys perform to anyone with a dollar - it's all for what ? 16 to 25 years now those monkeys can't even beat your "terrorists" who utilize Korean War era weaponry and wear tattered clothes and sandals looooooool.

Dont take it personally. I respect you despite being a terrorist supporter I believe you are a good person. And I couldn't care less about those NA corrupt warlords. I just respect Saleh because i seriously believe he helped the Afghan cause.

For the sake of honesty you shouldn't ignore the fact that Taliban are in cahoots with Iran too just like our corrupt government.

Well I too believe you are a good a person and I respect your nationalism, but I would say that your inability to tolerate a discussion of Afghan governmental faults without attempting to shut down the discussion with this sort of jargon is hilarious to say the least. There are no bigger terrorists and Fascists than Atmar nor torturers than Saleh.

I disagree. I think he has set back Afghans for decades with his pandering and kow towing as well as his desire to Balkanize Afghanistan and the region with this utterly insane idea that there could be any sort of autonomous outcome beyond a North Korea/South Korea type set up which would in no way sustain northern culture, religious traditions, ways of life etc. People here his anti Pakistan credos and assume that the sort of deals he is striking up are somehow long term beneficial.

For the sake of honesty you shouldn't ignore the fact that Taliban are in cahoots with Iran too just like our corrupt government.

Yes bro, this is what it boils down to. In this conflict, there are layers of betrayal, corruption, murder and theft. This concept that somehow one is "better" than the other because it wears a business suit and builds girls skate boarding parks is an absurdity. Even Karzai, his own Peshawar 7 group was as involved with the Muj era conflicts as anyone else yet by speaking a little english and putting on some flamboyant clothes he somehow convinced Dog washers everywhere he was the "better option."

I am not nationalist, brother. I couldn't care less. Nationalism is an absurd and st*pid phenomenon. I despise nationalist people as much as I despise religious and atheist fanatic nuts.

Afghan government is corrupt and brutal. Period.

Saleh did a great job by creating TTP. He harmed Pakistan more than any other Afghan politician ever. Thats why I respect him.

NA had the opportunity to split the country up in 2001. They didn't. For the last decade we (Tajiks, I mean) had a huge influence over all the key fields of the establishment: we didn't split up Afghanistan. The average Tajik is proud to be Afghan. Tajik nationalism is an online phenomenon. We are ready to share country with Pashtuns but not with the Taliban.

You don't understand war enough my friend. Look at America, look at Iran - in times of conflict people take solace in ideals and idealism. In the Muslim regions they take solace - even politically within the shade of Islam.

Usually war disrupts the whole societal heirarchy. When things are relatively stable the clerical voices like the mullahs in Iran and the Jerry Falwells and James Dobsons as well as the fighting mullahs are usually less appealing to the critical mass.

However, when conflict comes, these folks inevitably gain power. When it slows down the people start to have the time to question the clerics and the society returns to some level of balance where the aristocracy or elite or whatever you call it, governs and compromises, the cleric sticks to his assigned role, and the people sort of mind their own business.

My point is that the increased fighting and attempts to subjugate the South and in fact other parts of the Muslim world generates its own positive feedback cycle and with EACH iteration the new leaders that arise are more vicious and more war hardened and more capable and less merciful than the last.

You see this in Iran's last 1.5 decades of elections. The swing from Khatami to Ahmedinjad and then back to Rouhani was coincident with outside saber rattling (W Bush and all that) that caused the rural and Baseejee Iranians to flock to Ahmadenijad.

Humans are humans are humans brother. If you study human behavior enough, you can predict responses to actions and decide what you want to do... do you want to take the hard route which involves a lot of misery, blood shed, and brutality (and often fails) or should people try to understand underlying causes and not impose their own bias on the matter so as to generate fantastic conspiracy theories (e.g. Northern Alliance are Russians and Shiites dressed up as Afghans and Talibs are Panjabies dressed up as Afghans).

My point is, this misery can easily end if people just stop and listen.

Most economists say that one of the main reasons the US because the wealthiest nation in the world is because of the commerce clause which prohibits states from putting tariffs on goods and services that travel from state to state. How can Salah help the Afghan cause or the regions cause when he is taking the opposite approach of creating wealth for his people.

Aslo, the comment about Amurallah Saleh creating the TTP. hahahahahaha
The only thing he did was create a kleptocratic ANA.

Pakistan rearmed Taliban in 2003. NDS helped to create TTP in return. Tit for tat.

But you got a point: coexistence and regional integration is the only way forward. But believe it nor not, only Pakistan is trying to disrupt all the efforts. As long as this country is run by its corrupt military proxy war is the only option left. Sooner or later Taliban will join the Afghan government. Its a matter of time.

TTP was formed in 2007 because of FATA and lal masjid operations . Don't flatter yourself by giving credit to NDS which cannot even safe itself inside Kabul .

Pakistan is not disrupting efforts . We just announced FTA's with South Korea , Iran , Mauritius and Thailand . Afghanistan is the loser here where nobody wants to come and do business .
