Thousands of martyrs of the Syrian armed forces have fallen to this day by these rowdy unkempt Salafi's, hundreds of thousands of Syrian civilians have been killed but according to government estimates, not 1 by the government. Good enough for me.

Syrians will have to ask themselves, whether it was worth it to rebel against the government, now that the revolutionary fervor has worn off.

It is hard to believe he did not know about the 2011 protests against Assad to which Assad responded with war and use of force.

If that isn't evidence that Khostai is more or less estranged from Afghans , nothing is.

He could barely stay in power with Iranian help, so the mashuman had to call in big daddy. The results will be the same, the embarrassment greater and unfortunately more innocent lives lost.

Exactly, if the Iranian IRGC troops have been unable to help Assad (despite their presence, Assad still losing territory and airbases to rebels), then why would anyone think that lesser capable Russian troops can change Assad's misfortune?

Don't mistake my take on IRGC as praise of their actions, but they have a history of successes to take into account. Russia has none in the East (lost in Afghanistan), except against European people, like in Ukraine, and even there they are waging war against a Ukrainian people Europe refuses to arm with weapons.

That child was a Kurd so his family would have suffered an even worse fate at the hands of the Ayrab rebels in Syria.

He could of been an Arab child escaping regime attacks by barrel bombs for example. What difference does it make? Secularists like yourself or the idiots at this newspaper don't care.
