Corridor will go through Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, KPK, Pak Kashmir. Basically it will cover whole Pakistan. And on why it doesn't go right through Balochistan. Answer is security and China doesn't want to invest in that route right now.
First make it secure investment will automatically come.

The above is an interesting view on the Pakistan-China corridor. I will translate it here for members.
Then don't call only us the traitors
-Atomic installations/centres in Punjab
-Missile laboratories in Punjab
-Tank manufacturing industries in Punjab
-Aeroplane manufacturing industry in Punjab
-From refrigerators to TV to sewing machine manufacturing industry in Punjab
-From match manufacturing to "kafan" manufacturing industry, all in Punjab
whereas
-All the big military cantonments are in KP
-All the Taleban their training centres are in KP
-Black water has centres in KP
-Madrassas and Jehadi centres are in KP
Have we only been reserved for wars?
Are we to provide cheap labour only?
Don't we have the right to having development, industry, and peace?

No that is not the real fact. The corridor going through KP is only a farce because it will only pass through Hazara whereas ignoring the old route. The old route was not insecure. It could be made secure.
If NATO supplies from Karachi to Kabul can be made secure, why not the old route? Besides there is problem in only a limited area. And the route could be amended e.g. using portions of GT road.
In fact Punjab is doing the same thing as it did with the East Pakistan. The consequences of such attitude will not be good.
From the perspective of international politics, China is doing the same thing as USSR i.e. reaching warm waters.

Senior Pashtun leaders have made it clear that this is a vital national issue for the Pashtun nation within the federation of Pakistan.
Even Imran Khan's PTI are totally opposed to the original route being changed to the new Punjab-centric route being advocated by Nawaz Sharif.
"Let's have another look. The Americans could not establish a single Reconstruction Opportunity Zone in FATA or KP. The Chinese are investing 46 billions in Punjab."
"The U.S has a major geo strategic setback in the region after the Chinese got full control of Gawadar. The $46 billion investment in Pakistan has provided the Chinese an unprecedented edge not only in the Arabian Sea but also in Pakistan's mainland Punjab. The is a huge failure of US diplomacy and her strategies."

Hazara region is KPK so it covers whole Pakistan. Nato supplies were never secure, every other day there was news of nato trucks being burned by Taliban.
making 2nd route is separate investment, right now they will use existing routes otherwise extra $12 billion is needed and many more years.

Lots of so called military cantonments are in Punjab as well. In fact training for FATA operation is done near Kharian cantt. The problem is again security, lots of businessmen from KPK and Karachi have settled in Punjab over the years.

The western line passes through some restive areas of Balochistan. The officials said the western corridor was part of a long-term plan that was under process and will be completed by 2030.
There has been opposition to the eastern corridor by some political forces and the government is trying to overcome these challenges, said the officials.
“The opponents of the fate-changing project like CPEC are the enemies of Pakistan,” said Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal.
He said the country has to learn from Chinese development experience and stop politicising mega development projects through political statements.
The officials said the CPEC will equally benefit all the provinces. In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, an 802km road and rail network will be constructed. In Balochistan, a 3,366km road and rail network will be constructed as well.
