    2011 article.

    The massacre that Paris denied

No one was ever brought to justice for the murder half a century ago of up to 200 French-Algerians.

Republican values of liberté, egalité, fraternité will be all but forgotten when thousands of Parisians recall the most murderous episode in the French capital's postwar history tomorrow. Commemorations are planned for the 50th anniversary of the French-Algerian massacre, when up to 200 peaceful protesters were slaughtered in cold blood around iconic national monuments, including the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral.

The most memorable – and vicious – atrocities saw policemen herding panicking crowds on to Paris's bridges, where many were tossed into the Seine. Normally a romantic symbol of the most popular tourist city in the world, the river became a watery morgue for scores of victims, whose lifeless bodies were washing up for weeks afterwards.

Others died in police stations, or in nearby woods, where their mutilated bodies testified to truncheon and rifle-butt injuries. The officers had been incensed by an illegal protest by 30,000 men, women and children organised by the National Liberation Front (FLN) – the main Algerian nationalist group in their country's war of independence with France.

Fifty years will seem like a long time to many of the young French Algerians who mark the anniversary today, but in many ways it seems very recent. Maurice Papon, the Paris police chief who instigated the killings, only died four years ago, aged 96; and some of his unrepentant and unpunished henchmen still remain at large.

Like Papon, many of the killers had been Nazi collaborators who learned their crowd control methods from the Gestapo. They were experts at disinformation too: the official death toll after Papon's self-proclaimed "Battle of Paris" was initially three, before being revised to a vague "several dozen" almost 40 years later.

No judicial inquiry ever took place, with many French still blaming Algerian in-fighting and terrorist attacks for the deaths. Papon was finally brought to justice for crimes against humanity – but only for those he committed during the second world war. President Charles de Gaulle, and then successive governments, ensured he was never indicted for what he did to the French Algerians of Paris.

Most now live in the blighted housing estates which dot the outskirts of the capital. These banlieues grew out of the immigrant worker shanty towns which became recruiting grounds for the FLN in the 50s and 60s. Police felt they could control "insurgents" better on the estates, and they are still overflowing with young people from north Africa.

As during the nationalist war, French Algerians are still encouraged to stay out of tourist Paris. Curfews are regularly imposed on the estates, with armoured vehicles filled with paramilitaries moving in during disturbances. When particularly heavy rioting broke out in 2005, the then interior minister, Nicolas Sarkozy, imposed a state of emergency. Like the curfews, it was based on Algerian war legislation from 1955.

Up to 40% of young French Algerians from the estates are currently unemployed. Without money or prospects, some have turned to crime, helping to swell a prison population estimated to be up to 70% Muslim. Many resemble the angst-ridden, alienated young Algerians who took to the streets in 1961.

Statistics about the current generation are unofficial because secular France does not record the ethnicity and religion of its citizens, but there is no doubt that French Algerians still regularly experience what it is like to be a second-class citizen. Racism against France's largest minority group is endemic – from the public and private institutions who fail to employ them, through to the media organisations which fail to report their issues.

Few would argue that the tribal murders committed by Paris police half a century ago are likely to be repeated today. But nor would anyone pretend that the discriminatory policies which gave rise to such horrors have disappeared from modern France.

Nabila Ramdani: No one was ever brought to justice for the murder half a century ago of up to 200 French-Algerians

*The Paris massacre is when 200 Algerians were murdered and their bodies thrown in to the river by the French police.

France today is a deeply racist society with state-sponsored brutalization of young North Africans and now state-endorsed anti-Islamic propaganda campaigns e.g. state support for the controversial "Charlie Hebdo" organization.

Paris massacre, a hideous and murderous act of anti-Semitism when over 200 Arabs (Semites, the biggest group of Semites in the world) were massacred.

    Paris massacre, an anti-Semitic massacre.

*Warning the following is satire, something which can lead you to be imprisoned in France*

    Message from Rupert Murdoch.

"Hi, Rupert Murdoch here. I'm a jerk, propagandist and creep. However I want to issue a public apology to the whole globe about the Paris massacre. #Notinmyame.

In 1961 a horrific act of anti-Semitism was carried out when Semites of Arabo-Berber origin were murdered in Paris by the French police.

    Around 200 Semites.

I Rupert Murdoch just want to say I apologize for this anti-Semitic massacre and disassociate myself from those of my fellow white westerners who carried out this massacre.

I don't know what I can do to absolve myself of my guilt and culpability of this outrageous massacre, except.

    1. Apologize to all Muslims worldwide.

    2. Apologize to Semites including Arabs, Berbers (Imazighen), Assyrians and others.

    3. Apologize to all non-whites for this act by whites.

I will start to look at myself and say what is wrong with my culture and civilization that we produced people like Hitler, Stalin and many others.

Why have we massacred and genocided people in:

    - North America

    - Australia

    - South America

    - North Africa (e.g. mass murder of Algerians during their war of independence).

    ???

    Why?

    Why I ask myself?

What is wrong with me? What is wrong with the civilization that has produced idiots like me?

Once again, I would like to apologize to you for the Paris massacre.

    #Parismassacre

    #Notinmyname.

    With deep and profound apologies.

    - Rupert."

Ukrainian neo-nazis from Azov batallion burned alive a Novorossia resistance fighter on a cross (video 18+)

          April 24, 2015

          TVZvezda.ru

Translated from Russian by Kristina Rus

Ukrainian fighters from a nationalist voluntary regiment "Azov" sent a video of an execution of a Novorossia fighter to militia fighters and hackers from "Cyberberkut".

"According to the authors of this video, the footage was filmed near the village of Shirokino, and "all the separatists, traitors of Ukraine and militia fighters will be treated the same", - "Cyberberkut" quoted the message from "Azov".

The footage shows how several punishers tied their victim to the cross, stuck the cross into the ground, and set fire to the wooden structure.

"This will not add fear neither to us nor the Armed Forces of Novorossia: we have already experienced too much in this life! But after this hardly anyone will capture "Azov" members alive" - responded the hackers to the atrocities of the security forces.

The authenticity of the video is not yet reliably confirmed. No official statements were made by the authorities of DPR.

"Azov" is one of the most infamous units of the Ukrainian National Guard, was formed as a battalion, in the fall expanded to a regiment. The unit consists of staunch nationalists - Ukrainian and mercenaries from other countries. The regiment uses the symbols of SS of Nazi Germany on its flag. Atrocities, harassment and war crimes of "Azov" fighters against the civilian population were repeatedly reported. Based in Mariupol.

I think whites and Christians need to do more to combat extremist whites and Christians.

Thousands of Christians in the Indian state of Assam lynch an Indian Muslim, taking him from a prison naked and murdering him whilst being videoed.

Six arrested in Dimapur mob lynching case, Nagaland-Assam border remains tense

            @SubhajitSG

Dimapur: Situation remains tense in Dimapur city and along the Nagaland-Assam border after a mob of thousands lynched a rape accused on Thursday. Six people have been arrested so far while the victim's family living in Bosla village of Assam's Karimganj district, demands justice.
On Thursday, rape accused 35-year-old Syed Farid Khan was dragged out of Dimapur Central Jail by a mob, stripped, lynched and then hanged from a clock tower. His family claimed that it was a conspiracy and he did no wrong.
"If he had done any wrong then the law would have punished him. Why did they kill him," asked the victim's younger brother Syed Suberuddin Khan.

            Christians mass murder Muslim.

Ethnic Nagas who are mainly Christian murder an Indian Muslim whose family served in the Indian army.

            Rupert Murdoch comment.

"I am thoroughly disgusted by this barbaric act by these thousands of Christians against one single Muslim man.

I think moderate Judaeo-Christian leaders through out the world need to speak out more against Christian extremism.

I apologize for this act to all Muslims and human beings through out the world.

            Not in my name!"

Almost all mosques destroyed in CAR: UN envoy

              Wed Mar 18, 2015 5:36AM

Nearly all of the 436 mosques in the Central African Republic (CAR) have been destroyed by months of deadly sectarian violence, the US envoy to the United Nations says.

Samantha Power said Tuesday that 417 of the CAR’s mosques have been destroyed since the conflict began over a year ago.

Power, who spoke to reporters after a UN Security Council visit to the strife-torn country last week, termed the devastation in the CAR as “kind of crazy, chilling.”

              Samantha Power.

During the inspection tour, the US envoy visited one remaining Muslim neighborhood in the country’s capital Bangui and described the people living there as “a terrified population.”

In addition, Power expressed concern about a possible security vacuum in the CAR as 750 troops from the European Union left the country over the weekend. France has also announced a “substantial drawdown” in its forces in the CAR by the end of this year. Paris had deployed 2,000 troops to its former African colony.

This is while a UN peacekeeping force is still not at full strength. According to Power, the UN force stands at about 80 percent of its planned strength of some 10,000 peacekeeping troopers.

The UN force includes some 6,000 troopers from the African Union, which the international body took charge of last September.

Powers said the combined forces have "averted a worst-case scenario;" however, armed groups remain in the country. The US envoy added that disarmament of the warring groups is a “huge priority.”

The Central African Republic has been convulsed by turmoil since December 2013, when Christian armed groups launched coordinated attacks against the mostly Muslim Seleka group that toppled the government in March that year.

Thousands of people are believed to have been killed and over one million displaced by the conflict so far.

The interim government in Bangui, which is supported by international peacekeepers, is currently trying to pave the way for a peaceful election in the country.

              Rupert Murdoch comment.

              "Not in my name!

I apologize to all Muslims world wide and all peoples of all backgrounds for this act. I ask all Muslims to forgive me for these acts committed by people I have never met who share the same Judaeo-Christian background as me.

I urge all moderate Jews and Christians to do more to condemn these extremists!"

I feel terrible for the victims in this massacre, but at the same time I think... Do the French care about our victims? When you come to think about it, they advocate bombings of civilians and murders of innocent people. Are their 150 French lives worth more than thousands of people killed all over the middle east? Are their 150 comparable to the 150 children killed in Peshawar school attacks?

All of a sudden we should all bow down to their misery, but what about when it happens to our people on a daily basis? They eat their cheese and drink their wine, and draw cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad saw to antagonize Muslims.

I thank Allah swt everyday, that I was born a Muslim. That I am sensitive to other's hardships, their pain, and that I can understand the sorrow in their hearts.

But can they understand our pain? Our children being bombed. Our people being killed. Our Muslims being slaughtered so they can have access to our minerals and other resources.

I really don't see it as a two way street. When Muslims are killed they rejoice and drink wine. When their people get killed, even the most hardcore Muslim, feels a pain for the loss of humanity.

                      Just something to think about.

Tandulkar Bengali posted this thread while the attackers identity and religion wasn't determined yet. In fact, there was very little info about the nature of the attack as the events were unfolding.

I wonder how Tandulkar knew so much that he even had this whole text plus images prepared to post here?
