well suffering can be seen in two ways.

either it is a punishment or it is a test.

    Muhammad (saw) suffered a lot
Then Qawn lut suffered a lot

Now both sufferings are not for the same reason coz we are told in surah inshirah that ina ma'al usri usra..after suffering comes good (for muslims)..

So if those who are suffering now were good muslims then they will keep strong on the path of Islam and be patient. If they were bad muslims who are suffering then they will stop doing their bad things and turn to Allah, if not a worse azaab will come on them

Sometimes when people are not punished, that can be that Allah is giving them a chance but then a time will come where they will be punished out of the blue without expecting it...they will be in a delusion that Allah is on our side when we are doing hypocricy, thats why we are not punished, but then all of a sudden the punishment will come

Prove to me im "making up facts?" How about presenting some evidence?

Granted, KP comes second in almost all surveys as it and Baluchistan have relatively small economies compared to Punjab and Sindh. I personally think Bulochistan as a province can be classed as somewhat of an anomoly due to a significant part of the provincial population of Balochistan being nomadic hence the spurious nature of the results.

With the population per capita of GDP khyber-pukhtunkhwa (which is normally ranked second from top in deprived provinces) especially in the last 10 years has probably suffered the most of all the provinces which has undoubtedly had a knock-on effect to its economy not to mention that it ranks highest in Transparency internationals index of corruption of all 4 provinces. That's my reason for ranking it top.

              Now your turn...

Can anyone recommend any good organisation/charities that are working towards facilitating those that are destitute?

I personally have friends /family in area and will inshallah donate money to the poor and needy soon.

I'd rather give it to Israel. At least they declare themselves the enemy of Muslims openly.

Although I agree with you graana, I think Ayub was being sarcastic. I am thinking of donating through personal connections peera. Unfortunately corruption is to rampant, and giving it to xyz orgs or ngos rarely work. I would rather send it to a relative and he can donate it accordingly.

Good idea and probably the best way.

Donating to personal connections ensures that they can get the best materials and food supply at the best price and to the right people.

A sad reality is that always in such circumstances some people will always look for an opportunity to cheat people. With local family, they will know all the tricks and ensure any corruption is eliminated.
