• Bengali American highschool student makes 72 million dollars

High school student scores $72M playing the stock market

He’s the teen wolf of Wall Street.
A kid from Queens has made tens of millions of dollars — by trading stocks on his lunch breaks at Stuyvesant High School, New York magazine reports in its Monday issue.
Mohammed Islam is only 17 and still months away from graduating — but worth a rumored $72 million. “The high eight figures,” is as specific as the shy and modest teen would get when asked his net worth.
Islam bought himself a BMW but doesn’t have a license to drive it. And he rented a Manhattan apartment, though his parents, immigrants from the Bengal region of South Asia, won’t let him move out of the house yet.
Still, the cherubic prodigy is living, and dreaming, large.

What makes the world go round?” Islam asked in the interview, explaining his preference for trading and investment over startups. “Money. If money is not flowing, if businesses don’t keep going, there’s no innovation, no products, no investments, no growth, no jobs.”
Islam and a pair of other young, Wall Street wolf-cub buddies eat regularly at hot spot Morimoto, where they enjoy $400 caviar and fresh-squeezed apple juice.
They hope to start a hedge fund in June, after Islam turns 18 and can get his broker-dealer license.
“Mo’s our maestro,” one of the kids explained.
The three pals intend to make a billion dollars by next year. All while attending college. “But it’s not just about the money,” Islam told the mag, which ranked his spectacular success story as No. 12 in its 10th annual “Reasons to Love New York” issue.

            1. Bangladesh is an independent state with its own independent armed forces, budget, currency and many other things.

One day perhaps in a thread exclusively devoted to this topic I can present all the facts.

            2. The pro-Pakistan opposition in Bangladesh i.e. the BNP and Jamaat e Islami just like any political party spread lies to gain votes.

They claim that the ruling Awami League work for India and activists of the BNP and Jamaat e Islami are active on the defence.pk propaganda forum propagating their forum, this includes the following anti-Bangladeshi terrorist supporters.

Kobiraaz: A student leader of the BNP in Dhaka and an ISIS supporter.

Idune: A BNP/Jamaati activist who is extremely Bangladesh and has celebrated the death of Bangladeshi soldiers and border guards.

Idune also propagates hatred against Bangladeshi Hindus.

            MSaint: A Taliban-supporter and hardcore Bangladesh-hater.

Al-Zakir: A racist anti-Hindu Jamaati who has laughed at the death and rape of Bangladeshi Hindus.

These guys are free to insult normal Bangladeshi members and their families and even threaten physical violence but if a Bangladeshi member criticizes Jamaat too much, the Pakistani moderators step in with behind the scenes infractions and moderator harassment and intimidation.

            3. Differences between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Pakistan had US military bases until a few years ago - Bangladesh has never had Russian, Indian, Chinese or American bases.

Pakistan is bombed regularly by US drones - Bangladesh is internally secure.

Pakistan had Iranian forces enter its territory recently and virtually keep a whole Pakistani village hostage for 6 hours - Bangladesh does not allow foreign forces on its soil.

Pakistan had to drop an important gas pipeline with Iran due to Saudi pressure - Bangladesh resists Saudi pressure and the Saudi regime hate our country.

Even Pakistanis joke that Nawaz Sharif is a puppet of Saudi Arabia.

I could go on but don't want to.

Please ignore Da Bannu Mazdigar as he is a well-known liar and troll.

              From a Pakistani site:

Nawaz Noora is apuppet of Saudi Arabia and Uncle Sam who brought him to power through rigged elections.Noora will ever utter a word against his masters.

If you analyze the statement....then this is seriously a very shameful statement. In other words, Nawaz Sharif doesn't have the interest of Pakistani nation first...but Saudi Interest is the first priority.

                From Dawn a Pakistani paper:

The revelation that Saudi Arabia is the ‘friendly Muslim country’ that deposited $1.5 billion into the Pakistan Development Fund isn’t a surprise. After all, it could hardly have been Yemen or Jordan; they’re not as well-heeled, and nowhere near as friendly.

Why the Nawaz Sharif government has been the beneficiary of such largesse is also not a mystery. The connections between Sharif and the Saudis are well-established, from the period in exile, to Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal’s “our man in Pakistan” boast to the Wikileaks cables, alleging Saudi funding for Nawaz Sharif’s 2008 election campaign. The list goes on, detailing the history between the man who has a political party named after him and the family that has a country named after it.

Compare the funding to how much the Saudis gave us during the previous government, you know, the one that made the IP pipeline deal with Iran which never materialised

Somehow we Pakistanis are beholden to the Saudis as prophets of some sort when the truth is they are corrupt to the core and have used Pakistan like toilet paper.

While working in Saudi Arabia (yes earning petro-dollars) in the late 1970's, our Saudi company owner used to call me in and complain about the Pakistani staff that he employed for peanut money about them demanding and seeking family status, having long holidays going for Umra and Haj, time taken to say the daily prayers while at work and so on. "Yaani....these Bakistani's are a big hiddik (headache)".

Sure enough, come early 1980's, most Pakistani staff was replaced by non-Muslim and mainly Hindu and Christian staff from India.

Just shows how much loved we are.

Ignore this troll, he has lied about me many times and always personalizes any discussion rather than discussing the subject in general and not launching personal attacks.

He has also previously said that I am another poster on another forum called "IamBengali", and then later claimed I was someone called "UK_Bengali".

Now I am a Baloch according to this prolific liar.

Normally I do not descend down to personal discussion but he is spreading lies about me on this forum so I have to dispel his lies.

P.S. asad71 has known me for a number of years now and is on this forum because I sent him links from here. He is a Mukti Bahini hero who helped to defeat Pakistan in 1971 and gain Bangladeshi freedom.

Mukti Bahini are the freedom fighters that liberated Bangladesh from Pakistani occupation in 1971.

                          asad71 is one of them.

Anyway I am out of this thread.

Karachi thanks for posting this interesting article.

Out of respect for this young man who may one day google himself and find that he is mentioned here with his picture shown I am not going to swallow Da Lahore Mazdigar's bait and make this a flame thread.

The young man who is the subject of this article may care very little for politics and may have Pakistani friends.

I wish him and his family well.

                          I'm out of this thread.
