Islamic State jihadis just rape and butcher: Areeb Majeed tells NIA

    Sunday, 30 November 2014 - 7:10am IST | Place: Mumbai | Agency: DNA
    Nikhil S. Dixit

The full story of the Kalyan youth's radicalisation, his trip to the ground zero of a terrorist outfit, his trauma and his return

    Areeb Majeed.

Areeb Majeed, who was brought back from Turkey on Friday after his failed adventures with the dreaded Islamic State (IS, earlier known as ISIS), has revealed startling details of how he managed to get in touch with the organisation and travel to Iraq and why he finally decided to come back to India. The 23-year-old was questioned for over eight hours by a joint team of central intelligence agencies and the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

With the help of exclusive information and interrogation details, dna has been able to piece together a profile of the Kalyan boy whose story is that of an average lower middle class boy, who, inexplicably, veered towards terrorism and got completely self- radicalised after reading jihadi literature from about 20,000 websites he accessed.

Areeb has revealed that he and his six friends, during their evening prayers near a mosque in Kalyan, would often discuss ways of becoming more devout Muslims. As their discussions got intense, Areeb began an online search to help their cause. As he got more and more involved, he began reading about ISIS and started getting influenced. Utterly fascinated by the emerging terrorist outfit, Areeb began looking for ways to get in touch with them.

Areeb (not Arif as reported earlier) has told his interrogators that he was self- indoctrinated and surfed more than 20,000 websites in an effort to reach the ISIS camps in Iraq. He finally managed to get a phone number on one of the websites.

After several attempts on that number, he was given another number of a man who was a resident of Bhiwandi, near Kalyan. Areeb then told his friends about this development. Then, three of his close friends Fahad Sheikh, Amaan Tandel and Saheem Tanki agreed to travel with him to Iraq.

Following this, Areeb got in touch with the Bhiwandi contact, who readily agreed to arrange for the money needed for their travel. Then they got in touch with a travel company based near Kalyan and enquired about their travel to Iraq. They were directed to Rahat Tours and Travels in Bhiwandi, which arranges pilgrimage tours to Iraq. Since the situation in Iraq was deteriorating, only pilgrims were allowed to go there.

Areeb and his friends decided to tell the company that they wish to go on a pilgrimage to Iraq. Through the Bhiwandi contact, they managed to gather the money required for their travel.

In April this year, they paid Rs 60,000 per person to the travel company as pilgrimage expenses to Iraq. Following this, their visa was arranged and tickets booked for May 25. Areeb was asked to collect visa and other documents from Ajmeri Tours and Travel, in Dongri, south Mumbai.

On the morning of May 25, all four of them left from Kalyan separately and travelled by local trains and met at the Mumbra station. At Mumbra, their Bhiwandi contact met them, gave them some more cash and wished them luck for their journey.

From there they travelled to the Mumbai international airport and boarded an Etihad flight to Abu Dhabi and from there to Iraq. On May 27, they reached Karbala and travelled directly to Baghdad where they reached on May 30. Since they were travelling with a big group of pilgrims they had to stop over at certain places.

On May 31, during an outing in the local market, Areeb and his friends tricked their local guide, separated from the group and escaped.

Areeb's friend Tanki was asked by a IS contact to hire a taxi to Fallujah, which is close to Mosul. Before leaving, they decided to speak to their families for one last time before they joined the IS camp.

After reaching Mosul, they contacted their Iraqi contact, who sent his associate. The associate helped them reach the Hind camp. At this camp, for a few days, they were educated about the missions, ideology and aims of ISIS. Interrogators believe that they were brainwashed completely at this camp.

After that, they were shifted to training camps. Here, they were told that the IS chief considers men from India to be physically weak and not fit for the battlefield. Only Tanki managed to clear their stringent physical training and was given weapons training.

The other three, including Areeb, were asked to join IS social media team and were also given the task of cleaning and collecting water. At no point was Areeb allowed to go to the war front for direct combat.

It was during this period that his mindset started changing against the IS because there was no place for the teachings of the Holy Quran in the IS camps. The jihadis simply butchered people and raped women.

All the four friends soon got scared, stressed and depressed about their situation. Their imagined jihadi heaven had become hell. In July, Areeb got injured in random firing and sustained bullet wounds on his back and shoulder. He was getting himself treated but his condition was worsening because there was no proper medication or food available in the camps.

Areeb somehow convinced his handlers that he needs treatment and travelled to Turkey through a less inhabited route. On reaching Turkey, he contacted his family and expressed his willingness to come back to India.

Areeb's three other friends are also expected to come back to India in the next few days, according to the NIA.

If all three return, Indian agencies will be in possession of some crucial evidence about the modus operandi of IS and may be in a position to bust some modules here and provide valuable inputs to other global agencies working against the dreaded outfit.

Also the toilet references are in other articles:

Majeed also disclosed how he was completely sidelined by the terror group as he had been asked to carry out menial tasks like cleaning toilets or providing water to those on the battlefield, instead of being pushed into the warzone.

    1. Many "Islamists" or those who support them are ignorant and emotional.

They read simplified propaganda narratives on sites or from articles and then jump to supporting something, or as in this case going to the other side of the world and being prepared to risk their lives.

    2. A case in point is the vilification of Bangladesh by "Islamists" including the "Muslim" Brotherhood and some Salafists.

Bangladeshi independence is seen as illegitimate and there is no acknowledgement of the atrocities carried out against Muslim Bengali men and women including mass rapes.

These people also turn a blind eye to the fact that the first gulf war saw a mainly non-Muslim army, the US fight a Muslim army, the Iraqi army.

However they do not call the Saudis "traitors" for "fighting against Muslims for non-Muslims", as they do with Bengalis who received some Indian support whilst Pakistan received American and Chinese support.

A year or two ago the entire global "Islamist" network virtually declared war against Bangladesh over the execution of one aged political leader called Qader Molla.

The TTP and Al-Qaeda threatened Bangladesh with terrorism and the Turkish regime went beserk getting their

    i: President
    ii: Prime minister
    iii: Foreign minister
    iv: Justice minister

    to insult Bangladesh.

However none of these "Islamists" are saying anything about 100,000 Rohingya Muslims having fled Burma in the past few months, but were obsessed with one aged political leader (Qader Molla was not an Imam or theologian).

"Islamist" fanatics from Turkey in particular went mad, but they know nothing about Bangladesh and ironically Turks supporting the Jamaat e Islami displayed the Bangladeshi flag when in fact the Jamaat is (covertly) opposed to the existence of an independent Bangladesh.

    3. "Islamists" are indeed ignorant, emotional and stupid however the current day "Islamists" are not as dangerous as their predecessors who follow a pseudo-shariah based on false ahadeeth and other things.

Even the first "sirah" (biography) of the prophet (solAllahu alaihi wa sallam) was by a dubious character called Ibn Ishaq, the grandson of an Iraqi Christian, and whom suspect sought to slur the character of the prophet.

In fact when Ibn Hisham who wrote the first prophetic biography carried out his work he clearly stated that he had to leave a lot of what was in Ibn Ishaq as it was full of outrageous nonsense.

Ibn Ishaq - whose work never survived e.g. there is no manuscript of it - was 100 years after the prophet (solAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam).

This was an age where there was no electronic storage of information, few books and overwhelming illiteracy.

Anyway suffice to say much of what we know as "orthodox Islam" is the work of what in Arabic would be called "zanadiqa", people who infiltrated the Islamic religion to subvert it.

The pseudo-"Islam" of orthodoxy and mullahs is backwards, violent, restrictive and misogynistic.

      "Islamists" and their racial hierarchy

Some "Islamists" have a racial hierarchy which is like this.

      1. Arabs first
      2. Middle easterners including Turks, Iranians, Afghans.
      3. Caucasian Muslims e.g. Chechens, Dagestanis.
      4. Balkanians e.g. Albanians, Bosnians.
      5. Others including Indians.

(N.B., this is just a loose approximation)

Pakistanis - depending on their skin complexion would either be in tier 2 or below.

For Turks they would be no.1 and Arabs would be below them. Many Turks, including Gulen followers, believe they are the chosen nation of Islam, chosen to lead Islam after the Arab failure to do so and quote a certain Quranic ayah to "prove" that.

The Arab "Islamists" that this mislead Indian boy hooked up with might quite well have been very racist and viewed Indians ("Hunood" in Arabic, usually pronounced in a pejorative manner) as inferior.

Out of Arabs, Syrians and Lebanese are probably the most racist i.e. they dislike dark skinned people, whereas the Gulf Arabs are the most brutal and violent towards non-Arab Muslims.

Even on this forum the various "Islamists" of this site have a covert racial hierarchy and a few have said how much they hate Bengalis (immaterial to me as we are averaging 6% GDP growth per year and have an army, air force, navy and are respected internationally).

The ISIS Arabs saw the Indian as weak and inferior and used him to clean toilets not caring that he might see this as degrading and insulting.

They apparently said Indians are weak whilst Kurdish guerillas have female fighters.

      YPG female fighters.

Now we cannot be sure how many of these ISIS Arabs were gulf Arabs accustomed to seeing Indians only as menial labourers and not equals who should dare to be uppity and think of being on the battle field with "noble" Arabs.

Anyone who believes in "Islamist" nonsense of a mythical Muslim unity where everyone will be treated as equal is deluded. In the pre-71 Pakistan in a heavily fundamentalist Pakistan, the Pakistanis chose ethnicity above religion by refusing to accept Muslim Bengalis administering them and deciding to genocide them.

Most "Islamists" e.g. Turks and Arabs support this.

Indian Muslims themselves practise severe caste discrimination and in east Africa I was told by a Gujarati that Gujarati Muslims refuse to pray standing beside Africans in mosques.

So Islam should be about spirituality, being a good person, helping people and most importantly loving Allah.

Political "Islam" is something which should be avoided.

This is the unfortunate truth. South asians/Africans will be always considered the lowest of humanity, even among muslims. How can muslims claims they are the most just/fair of people, when they are actually among the most racist people.

Here in Canada, which is a secular country, there is much much more fairness, freedom and justice then muslim countries. Thats why people from muslim countries will do anything to move here. Yet this system is hated by the Islamists, even the radical islamists living here. These people are so misguided, they are not even humans to be honest.

Until we address the deep problems with muslims and even the current Islamic systems around the world, why would anyone want Sharia law? I am very happy to live in a country like Canada.

          1. I totally endorse everything you say. I lived in Syria for a year (studying Arabic, I am actually more learned Islamic than some of the "Islamists" on this forum) and it is a deeply racist country.

A Chadian living there told me how he lived in one place for 5-6 years in one block and none of the neighbours ever said a simple "hi" to him.

A Kurdish friend (one of the best people I met there) told me how there were some African students in a Damascus university student residence who had no papers and were thus stranded there for years unable to leave Syria. They were essentially ostracized by the local Syrians who presumably would want nothing to do with these "sood" (blacks). If someone is black from the west it is slightly different though.

I could go on but let's leave it for now.

Suffice to say I would much prefer to live in a civilized country like the UK or Canada than backwards Syria, Saudi Arabia etc.

          2. There is a racial hierarchy amongst "Islamists" contradicting the true message of Islam and the Quran of universal brotherhood and equality.

Sometimes these racial hierarchies have been given a theological coating including the notorious "Fatawa i Jahandari" of Ziaduddin Barani.

According to this "Islamic" legal work, the local Indic converts to Islam were low caste and inferior and could not marry foreign-origin Muslims some from invading families. Thus Muslims of Indic background could not marry Arab, Pathan (the Urdu/Hindi word), Iranian, Turkish and other "elite" Muslims.

          3. "Islamists" also be they from Bangladesh, Pakhtunkhwa, Afghanistan, Africa, Asia, Europe also see the Muslim middle east as the heart of the Muslim world and suffering or problems there to be of far more importance than Muslim regions outside the middle east.

Also many Arabs expect pan-Muslim support for their problems but in no way feel they too should reciprocate and show solidarity with non-Arab Muslims. The heavily glorified Palestinians for example contain some vicious anti- non-Arab racists.

When have Palestinians ever held protests for Rohingya Muslims?

When have Palestinians ever held protests for Muslims in southern Thailand?

          4. Conclusion, non-Arab and non-middle east Muslims should be aware of the racism and superiority complex of Arabs, Turks and Iranians and should not be duped by "pan-Islamic" rhetoric. They should practise their religion i.e. pray, fast, read Quran, do dhikr but they should not base their political identity or nation-states on that.

This applies in particular to Indonesia, Bangladesh and Malaysia whom will always be considered "lesser" by middle-east Muslims.

Bengalis in general are a foolish race who do not fully understand that pan-Islamic unity and brotherhood is false and they will always be looked down upon or mistreated by other lighter-skinned Muslims and instead should focus on building their own country.

The failure of the Pakistan project with racially lighter west Pakistanis chosing to prefer ethnicity (West Pakistani domination) to Islamic unity (giving administration to leaders from east Pakistan) and then genociding Bengalis has not really made the dim-witted Mullahs of Bangladesh (most of whom are poor families or orphans and lacking in intellectual acumen or national pride) or much of Bangladeshi society fully aware of the dangers of excessive "pan-Islamic" brotherhood.

I cannot speak for Mohajirs too much (and know there are social strata amongst them too) but I have heard they themselves receive bad treatment in Pakistan, which Pakistani/Punjabi army propaganda glorifies as a "fortress of Islam" and "Land of the pure).

You know what Kafirs and Coconuts have in common?

Their proficient use of a fake word to further disunite Muslim people.

Bengali man all your posts here does a good job in separating Muslims from each other and give them a nationality. Like the colonizing Europeans have.

A lot of people, not just Indians, are not physically capable of fighting on a front line. They put themselves and their comrades in a dangerous spot. Good job in over exaggerating the issue.

The YPG are terrorists designated by the UN. The Kurds have been showing themselves as big beghairots for running away and sending their women to fight In their place.

Look at you playing the victim card. "Indians are the most oppressed group." That is BS.

You seem to have inferiority complex issues...esp of skin color..and trying best to relate it to muslim world...by generalising all islamic groups be right or wrong.Every group whether islamic or christian EDL or hindu RSS/Bjp or seculars ...had extremists that killed or opressed others...like today we ve secular witch hasina hands in hands with blind nationalism and on a killing spree of muslims...calling it 71 issue for politocal gains.

Come out of this inferiority complex issue...islam doesnt promote color issues...its in your dirty brain...All arabs are not racists neither all muslims. We consider arabia and al sham the heart lands of islam because thats where holylands are and our religious language is arabic...go cry somewhere else for your racism and hatred against muslims including pashtuns and the nerve of trying to act as victim....

                    NIFAQ:

                    Definition:

Linguistically, Nifaq is derived from the hole of raters or mice that is, articles holes in the grounds, when that animal is chased from one hole he would exit from another one, or it means a tunnel or a subterranean excavation used for hiding.*

In the Sharee'ah: Nifaq (hypocrisy) means a pretense of loving Islam while concealing Kufr and evil. A hypocrite is given this appellation because he enters the religion from one door and exits from another. Hence, Allah, the Exalted, cautioned against hypocrites saying: "Verily, hypocrites are the rebellious." [Soorah at-Tawbah (9): 67]

The rebellious are those who rebel against the Islamic laws, Allah considers the hypocrites as more evil than the infidels saying: "Verily, the hypocrites shall be in the lowest level of fire." [Soorah an-Nisa (4): 145]

And Allah, the Exalted, says: "The hypocrites (think) that they deceive Allah when in fact it is Allah who deceives them." [Soorah an-Nisa (4): 142]

Allah also says: "They (think) that they deceive Allah and the believers, but they deceive only themselves, but they do not know. In their hearts is a disease, and Allah has increased their disease to them; and for them is a grievous punishment." [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 9-10]

                    B. Types of Hypocrisy:*

                    Hypocrisy is of two types:*

The first type:*Doctrinal hypocrisy which is major hypocrisy; the one who upholds it displays Islam and conceals infidelity. This type constitutes absolute apostasy, and condemns those who uphold it to the lowest level of Hell-Fire. Allah has described its people as possessing evil characteristics; such as Kufr, lack of Eemaan, derision of faith and its people and inclining entirely to the enemies of Islam for sharing their hostility. Such people exist in every age, particularly when Islam prevails and they cannot resist it publicly, therefore they pretend to be Muslims in order to plot against it and its people privately. And because they live with the Muslims, they ensure the safety of their blood and properties. A hypocrite displays his belief in Allah and His Angels and His Books and His Messengers and the Final Day, while in fact, he is far from believing in all that, rather the denies all that and does not believe in Allah.*

Allah has uttered a speech which He revealed to a human and made him a messenger to mankind to guide them with His permission, threaten them, and warn them against His punishment. Allah has revealed those hypocrites and exposed their secrets in the Qur'aan and unveiled to His slaves the conditions of the hypocrites in order to be cautious against them.*

In the beginning of Soorah al-Baqarah, Allah, the Exalted, classifies mankind into three categories; the believers, the infidels and the hypocrites. He revealed four verses with respect to the believers and two verses with respect to the infidels while he revealed thirteen verses with respect to the hypocrites due to their large number and severity of their affliction and commonness of their deception, and severity of their hostility against Islam and its people. For the affliction Islam suffers through them is intensive because they are counted as Muslims and supporters of Islam, while in fact they are it enemies. They express their enmity to Islam in every form which the ignorant thinks of it as knowledge and reform, while in fact it is utter ignorance and corruption. [Excepts from an epistle on the traits of the hypocrites by Ibn al-Qayyim]

Doctrinal hypocrisy is of six kinds*

                    1. Denying the Messenger (sallallahu alihe wa-sallam)
                    2. Denying part of what the Messenger (sallallahu alihe wa-sallam) was sent with
                    3. Hating the Messenger (sallallahu alihe wa-sallam)
                    4. Hating some of what the Messenger (sallallahu alihe wa-sallam) was sent with.*
                    5. Rejoicing over the decline of the deen of the Messenger (sallallahu alihe wa-sallam).*
                    6. Resenting the prevalence of the deen of the Prophet (sallallahu alihe wa-sallam).*

The second type:*Practical hypocrisy; (that is) possessing a trait of the hypocrites while retaining Eemaan in the heart. This does not constitute apostasy, but it is considered as a means to it. A person who upholds it combines both, Eemaan and hypocrisy. When the latter prevails, he becomes a sheer hypocrite. The proof of this is the statement of the Prophet (sallallahu alihe wa-sallam): "Four traits, whoever possesses them is a sheer hypocrite. And whoever possesses one of them would possess a trait of hypocrisy until he relinquishes it. When he is entrusted, he betrays trust, and when he speaks, he lies, when he enters into a treaty, he behaves treacherously, and when he disputes with others, he behaves immorally." [Agreed upon]

A person who combines these four traits, has indeed combined all evil and all the traits of hypocrisy. But he who has one of them, he possesses a trait of hypocrisy. A person may possess traits of both goodness and evil, as well as Eemaan, Kufr and hypocrisy, he would deserve rewards and punishment in accordance with the traits which necessitates wither of them, such as being lazy to attend congregational prayer in the Masjid, for this is a hypocrite's behavior. Hypocrisy is evil and very dangerous of which the Companions were scared. Ibn Abi Malikah said: "I have met thirty of the Companions of the Messenger (sallallahu alihe wa-sallam), all of whom were afraid of falling into hypocrisy."*

The Differences between Major and Minor Hypocrisy:

                    1. Major hypocrisy constitutes apostasy, while minor hypocrisy does not.*
                    2. Major hypocrisy signifies dissimilarity between the inner and outer beliefs, while minor hypocrisy signifies dissimilarity between public and private actions, not beliefs.*
                    3. Major hypocrisy does not belong to a believers, while minor hypocrisy may belong to a believer.
                    4. A person who upholds major hypocrisy does not usually repent, but even if he does so, scholars are at variance with regards to accepting his repentance by a judge. Whereas minor hypocrisy when one upholds it and repents to Allah, Allah will accept his repentance. Shaikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Many a times a believer would possess a trait of hypocrisy and Allah would forgive him, and he may be subject to what may dictate hypocrisy, but Allah guards him against it.

A believers may be subject to Shaytaanic and Kufr suggestions with which his chest becomes straitened. A Companion said: "O Messenger of Allah! One of us would have some thoughts in his mind that he would rather fall down to earth from the sky than to utter them." The Prophet (sallallahu alihe wa-sallam) said: "That is the pure Eemaan." In another version, "When one feels it is terrifying to utter those thoughts, he should say, "All praise is due to Allah, who reduced the plotting of Shaytaan into mere suggestions." That is to say, having such suggestions along with intensive abhorrence of them and repulsing them from the heart is an expression of pure Eemaan." [The Book of Eemaan, p. 238]

As for those who uphold major hypocrisy, Allah describes them saying: "They are deaf, dumb, blind, so they will not return." [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 18]

This is to say, they will not return to Islam internally.*

Allah, the Exalted, also says: "Do they not see that they are tried every year once or twice yet they do not repent, not do they remember." [Soorah at-Tawbah (9): 126]

Scholars are at variance with regard of public repentence of such persons.

I cannot speak for Mohajirs too much (and know there are social strata amongst them too) but I have heard they themselves receive bad treatment in Pakistan, which Pakistani/Punjabi army propaganda glorifies as a "fortress of Islam" and "Land of the pure).
sigpic"When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!" (2.11)

And when it is said to them (hypocrites): "Believe as the people (followers of Muhammad Peace be upon him , Al-Ansar and Al-Muhajirun) have believed," they say: "Shall we believe as the fools have believed?" Verily, they are the fools, but they know not."(2.13)

And when they meet those who believe, they say: "We believe," but when they are alone with their Shayatin (devils - polytheists, hypocrites, etc.), they say: "Truly, we are with you; verily, we were but mocking." [2:14]

And when it is said to them: "Come to what Allah has sent down and to the Messenger (Muhammad)," you (Muhammad) see the hypocrites turn away from you (Muhammad) with aversion. [4:61]

Verily, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, but it is He Who deceives them. And when they stand up for As-Salat (the prayer), they stand with laziness and to be seen of men, and they do not remember Allah but little. [4:142]

                      Characteristics of the Munafiqeen:

According to Sahīh Bukhārī, the Prophet saww said, "Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up.*

                      1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays.
                      2. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.
                      3. Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous.
4.*Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and insulting manner.

Might this be a lesson to people who act in this way.
sigpic"When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!" (2.11)

Unfortunately however the troll ghumbasa quoted me and it showed on my account and it showed some quote about "NIFAQ" i.e. hypocrisy, so most likely some sort of personal ad hominem attack on me by this aforementioned troll.

The best thing to do is to ignore such attacks as it clearly shows frustration on part of the troll. When people are unable to actually discuss the subject at hand but launch personal attacks it clearly shows they have lost the argument.

I would like to mention certain things, not to try and make myself look like some sort of wonderful Muslim, in fact a "wonderful" Muslim by definition is humble and is always extremely self-critical.

                          1. I am a practising Muslim e.g. I pray all my 5 prayers including praying Fajr (the dawn prayer) on time.

                          2. I also do extra acts of worship such as durood and istighfar (the first being asking Allah to bless the prophet and the second to ask forgiveness).

                          3. I have studied the various disciplines of Islam at a basic level.

                          - Usool ul Fiqh: Sources of "Islamic" law, how "Islamic" law is derived.

                          - Fiqh: Jurispudence.

                          - Hadeeth: The sciences of the alleged statements of the holy prophet (solAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam).

                          - Tafseer: Exegesis of the Quran.

However the "Islam" that we see now which is based on books written centuries after the prophet (solAllahu 'alaihi was salam) contradicts the Quran in many fundamental ways. This a forum full of trolls like ghumbasa, Da Lahore Mazdigar and others so unfortunately is not the place to discuss such an important thing as religion in detail.

However many of the rulings of orthodox "Islam" actually either have no basis in the Quran or contradict it e.g. stoning of the adulterer, execution of the apostate etc.

However the topic at hand here is racial hierarchy amongst Muslims.

Islam is beautiful, true Islam that is, not the pseudo-Islam of the four "madhahib" (schools of jurispudence) and a true Muslim is an amazing person but Muslims like any community are humans with weaknesses and faults.

                          Ummayads

Ummayads were Arab nationalists who treated non-Arab Muslims as inferior and apparently applied rulings meant for non-Muslims (e.g. jizya) to non-Arab Muslims.

The Ummayad Arab racism played a big part in their removal by the Abbasids supported by many Persians including Abu Muslim Khorasani.

                          Ottomans

The Ottomans looked down on many of their non-Turkish Muslim subjects and did very little for the development of the Arab middle east intellectually or culturally. They also did very little for Anatolia.

Their base was Rumelia (which would be east and west of Istanbul including eastern Greece and Bulgaria, and just west of Istanbul including Bursa) and they gave preferrence to Albanian and Bosnian viziers.

Ottomans are glorified by non-Turkish Muslims but Turks are more educated about the corruption of the late Ottoman rulers which included having guards posted on the edge of Istanbul to prevent ordinary Ottoman/Turkish peasants from coming in as they would look shabby or ugly.

                          Pakistan

Another state ostensibly based on Islam. In fact Pakistani propagandist, Zaid Hamid, even calls Pakistan "the second Madina". The minority west Pakistanis held power and discriminated against the majority east Pakistanis who for the sake of "Muslim unity" accepted injustices for almost quarter of a century. They then won elections which the West Pakistani establishment refused to accept and a campaign of genocide was launched against them.

The point being for the west Pakistani Muslims ethnicity was more important than religion.

I am not confining this to the ruling elites because on a micro-level, i.e. personal level, Pakistanis in general look down on Bengalis and think it is unnatural for them to be equal to them let alone above them.

The ruling elite just represented what the ordinary west Pakistani is like.

                          * * * *

All of the three states were supposedly based on Islam but there was a racist/nationalist ruling elite.

I believe that ideas for a supra-national Islamic "caliphate" are thus nonsense and absurd.

At the most we can have a EU style body where Muslim nations on the basis of equality can co-operate with each other and where we live in harmony with the rest of the majority non-Muslim world.

If for example black African Muslim countries became part of a Muslim "Caliphate", they would be secondary and Arabs/Turks and others would expect them to be compliant to them. If however they are sovereign independent nation states then Arabs/Turks have to respect them.

This shows that you dont know the basic of islamic jurispprudence...4 madhabs are actually 4 fiqhs...means prophet saww acted to various problems or events with various ways depending on scenarios at hand.Like sometimes he saww prayed more sunnah nafls sometimes less depending on his illness, nature of journeys...sometimes he performed rafah yadain someyimes not.4 schoolings set rules according to situations. They dont contradict.

I am not confining this to the ruling elites because on a micro-level, i.e. personal level, Pakistanis in general look down on Bengalis and think it is unnatural for them to be equal to them let alone above them.*

The ruling elite just represented what the ordinary west Pakistani is like.
Seems like Al_bangala is writing histories by his own delusions...and seems like you ve personal hatred against pakistanis, arabs, turks, people of al sham ...any muslim left?

So you accept that you believe whats in quran and hadeeths is absurd? Whats the need of saying you pray 5 times a day or know tafseer? Say clear cut you dont believe in islam.

Above contradictory statements show you are a pathologic lier.
sigpic"When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!" (2.11)

And when it is said to them (hypocrites): "Believe as the people (followers of Muhammad Peace be upon him , Al-Ansar and Al-Muhajirun) have believed," they say: "Shall we believe as the fools have believed?" Verily, they are the fools, but they know not."(2.13)
