I know I may sound a bit harsh, but rape in Afghanistan is far worse than those in western countries. The pain and burden is far higher for the victims in Afghanistan. First of all, the shame makes the victim an 'offender'. Being excluded and shamed in the society, both inside family and outside. Making an already hard life worse. Imagine all the psychological pain they have to carry.

In Western countries, the victim is considered a victim and they don't get shamed by the society, since intercourse outside marriage is common, so the act itself isn't seen as shame in society. Basically the society takes care of all the burden. So the only effect the victim feel from the act is basically not enjoying the act.

So basically even castrating the rapist and then executing them wouldn't even be enough of a punishment, at least if you compare the damage they have caused to the women.
This is juts your opnion, no matter how free you are, rape is not only discomfort or not enjoiying the act in the West. Like in any country rape and shame go hand in hand, that is also the reason why in the west so many women go to court when they are raped when they were drugged, they didn't realise or did not even fell the "discomfort" of the rape, but still they felt violeted and a shame. I don't know if you live in west, but the way you discriped how the westerners see rape is just wrong.

"muslim" men are used to shaming women by expressing their own shamelessness and exposing their own filthy characters. It's very effective because women are taught not to point out faults in God's superior creatures. Unfortunately for you, I shed off that layer of hypocrisy and ignorance a very long time ago. I am not so insecure that I shut up and leave you alone because you, being a man, are the type of ******* who is not ashamed of expressing publicly how low he can get. Your mother may allow you that satisfaction, your sister may allow you that satisfaction, your daughters may too. I will not.

The child returned from school on Tuesday and complained of pain that had been caused by "an uncle in school", her parents told the police.

Police say they are questioning school staff and are waiting for a report on the child's medical condition.

The incident comes three months after a six-year-old was raped by a staff member in another Bangalore school.

That led to street protests by parents and activists, with many accusing the school of not handling the allegations properly.

"We have registered cases for rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act," Bangalore Police Commissioner MN Reddi told BBC Hindi.

He said police were looking at security cameras for any leads. There have been no arrests yet.

The alleged assault on the three-year-old is the latest in a series of brutal gender-related crimes that have caused outrage in India.

Scrutiny of sexual violence has grown since the 2012 gang rape and murder of a 23-year-old student on a Delhi bus.

The crime sparked days of protests and forced the government to introduce tougher anti-rape laws, including the death penalty.

But the law appears to have failed to act as a deterrent. Statistics from the National Crime Records Bureau for 2013 show one rape was reported every 21 minutes.

Rape are common in developing countries but in countries like Pakistan/Afghanistan they are reported less as compared to in countries like india/bangladesh.

You missed the whole point. The point is that the psychological pain that a rape causes in a conservative society is by far greater than the rape done in more liberal society.
When somebody force himself on someone, the woman will obviously feel violated and wronged.
Lets me give you a perspective.
When somebody steals from you, whether it is allot or little; one will seek justice and feel wronged. The same concept implies there as well. Now don't misunderstand me. I am not saying that stealing and rape is on the same level in west, rape is obviously worse. I am just giving you the psychological reaction one gets, when the person is wronged.
