General Fazal Ahmad Sherzad, the provincial police chief of Nangarhar province told reporters that the operations started in the jurisdiction of Chaparhar District last night and winded up this morning.
He said two commanders of Daesh were killed, one wounded and three others detained with eight different types of weapons by the security forces.
General Sherzad named the dead Daesh commanders as Farouq and Mirwais and the one wounded as Mansoor.
July has been the deadliest month for Daesh with losing key commanders such as Shaikh Maqbool alias Shahidullah Shahid, Gul Zaman and Jahadyar.
Daesh also known by ISIS or Islamic State was active in Syria and Iraq for years but it emerged in Nangarhar province and some other parts of the country months before.
They recruited hundreds of fighters, most of them defectors of Taliban. Afghan security agencies have formed special units, well equipped and highly trained, to combat with Daesh.

Afghan students leaving schoolThe doors of six schools have been closed after local villagers fled fighting a villager of eastern Nangarhar province.
Reports indicate that continued clashes between the gunmen of the militants groups of Taliban and Daesh made the residents of Mamand Dara area of Achin District leave their homes to safer locations.
Sayed Eisa Sadat, an official from the education department of Nangarhar said that the clashes were preventing students to attend their clashes.
He said the skirmishes forced hundreds of families fled their homes in Mamand Dara due to which the doors of six schools were closed.
Daesh was fighting in Iraq and Syria for years but it emerged in Afghanistan few months before.
After its emergence in Afghanistan, the group asked Taliban who were fighting in Afghanistan for over 13 years to join them but Taliban rejected the call.
Since then fighters of both groups are fighting with each other and most of their clashes erupt in Nangarhar province. They have killed dozens of each other’s fighters in these clashes and caused harm to civilian properties.

• ISIS claims breakthrough amid widening rift among Taliban leadership

ISIS behead a man in NangarharAmid deepening rift among the Taliban leadership following Mullah Mohammad Omar’s death confirmation, the Islamic State Of Iraq and Syria (ISSI) terrorist group has claimed breakthrough in its efforts to gain a foothold in the country.
A spokesman for the terror group in Khorasan province claimed that pledges of allegiance to Islamic State is taking place across the country.
The ISIS-affiliate also claimed that the Taliban movement is over and said the dawn of the Islamic State begins.
He also claimed that the newly appointed Taliban supreme leader Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansoor has teamed up with the al-Qaeda chief Ayman Al-Zawahiri in a bid to maintain the group’s influence and defame the ISIS terror group which seeks a greater role in the region.
This comes as deadly clashes were reported among the Taliban militants and ISIS affiliates in certain parts of the country, specifically in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan recently.
However, the terror group’s activities were relatively reduced following a series of operations which led to death of some of the high ranking leaders in the country.
The ISIS terror group is likely to continue looking for ways to expand their activities in Afghanistan, according to the report by Pentagon released earlier in June this year.
The report further added that the US forces have noted a few militants re-branding themselves, likely in an attempt to draw media attention, greater resources and more recruits.

Drone56 fighters from the militant groups of Taliban and Daesh have been killed in fresh US drone strikes in eastern Nangarhar province.
Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, spokesman for the provincial governor of Nangarhar province told reporters on Wednesday that the airstrikes were carried out on militants in Gorgore area of Haska Mina District late yesterday.
He said six strikes were carried out on insurgent hideouts in the area.
40 of those killed belonged to Taliban and 16 others were members of Daesh group.
The airstrikes took place after heavy clashes between the two groups in the same area but no report was released about the possible casualties.
Some of the remote areas in Nangarhar province have become hotbeds for the militant groups of Taliban and Daesh that are also fighting against each other.
Due to the fear of receiving harms in the clashes erupting between the two groups and drone strikes, hundreds of families from those villages have fled to safer areas.

• Don't be fooled by "ImaJew" and her "sweet" persona (which isn't even that sweet as she deliberately sabotaged a thread highlighting hatred against Muslims, as her systematic agenda on this forum is to link Islam with failure, problems, dysfunctionality etc).

I had had a better image of her in the past and was perhaps a bit naive and was sceptical of what wiser people such as Manzareh said, but they were right about her.

Pashtun doesn't equate to Muslim.
They are not synonymous.
There are many Pashtuns who are not muslim.
Also Pashtuns existed before Islam.
