Saudi men banned from marrying Pakistani women

Saudi Arabia has imposed a new law banning Saudi men from marrying women from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Chad and Burma, Morocco World Newsreported.

The law also imposes restrictive rules on men marrying Moroccan women.

Quoting Saudi daily Makkah newspaper, the report states that ¡°Saudis will not be able to marry citizens of four nationalities,¡± naming Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma and Chad as the four nations.

The director of Makkah police, Major General Assaf Qureshi told the Saudi paper that marriage requests from outside Saudi Arabia are made through official the Saudi paper that marriage requests from outside Saudi Arabia are made through official procedures under very strict terms. One of the restrictions is that the age gap between the couple cannot exceed 25 years.

In order to marry outside the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Saudis must submit an application to a government committee and wait for their approval or rejection. The applications can take a long time to be processed.

The government has not given any official statement clarifying the new restrictions on marrying foreigners.

So they can marry woman from India even though India is not the part of“ummah”. .

perhaps they doesn't marry indian girl as in alarming numbers as the Pakistani or the bengali.

Well i know people from Bannu and the rest of KPK having married with arab women in UAE(Raees khan khattak is married to a wealthy arab women in Abu dhabi,Even though basically from karak but he was born and lives in Bannu,He also has a wife in his hometown and Dr Shakeel ENT is his son).

One of my far relative was also married to a arab woman in KSA and he ran away to Pakistan 2-3decades earlier.

I know a Punjabi Guy(He was my brother classmate in Abu dhabi) and he's now married to a arab woman in abu dhabi.(The Guy must be below even 30 Now)

These are perhaps the cases i know.

Every Muslim can marry another Muslim according to Quran without restriction of nationality or race. It means this order of the government of Saudi Arabia is against Quran and the Muslim world and Mullahs must criticize the country whose constitution is Quran.

How Saudi has made the written permission from the first wife as marriage with 4 wives is sanctioned by Quran? Again Saudis are doing things against the holy book and their constitution.

there are two very logical reasons behind this. first being the fact that people marry for the sake of legal issues only and that too to claim citizenship rights that are not granted to them otherwise. second being the fact that these rich men go around and literally buy poor women from these four countries and keep them as fourth or fifth wife and most often these women are very very young.

no one should be disappointed by this as this is not a loss of any sort to anyone but saudi men who will now have to find themselves slave wives elsewhere. if anything, people of these countries should be greateful. with all the prejudices and abuses towards muslims of other countries, what proper muslim family with respect for themselves would willfully want to have their daughter married off to saudies??

Most Gulf Arabs who know what Pashtuns are know that they are culturally and phenotypically different then say punjabis or Sindhis therefore do no always seem them as "Pakistani.". Heck, even in their dialect of Arabic, Pashtun basically means Afghan or "Al-Afghani" أفغان as they say.
