    Taliban 'capture' two US nationals
The Taliban claim to have captured two US nationals in Logar province in eastern Afghanistan.
The Nato-led International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) has not commented on the reported capture, but military sources told Al Jazeera that two soldiers are "unaccounted for".
The governor of the province, however, told Al Jazeera that he believes the two missing Americans are civilians working for a Provincial Reconstruction Team, a military-led development team.
A journalist from the Reuters news agency reported hearing local radio stations in Logar broadcasting US statements that offered a $20,000 reward for information about the captured Americans.
Logar is southeast of Kabul, the Afghan capital, in an area that has seen growing insurgent activity over the last few years.

    haha @ $20,000 reward.

You'd be lucky if you get them free with at least a couple of million $$. Wos da Talebano khabarey pa 1000 nadee, they talk millions now.

MOST of these kidnappings go back to Taliban, Ka da Agha manteqe Qomandan pake las na wee, sok NAR nadai chey yow sok inkhtetaf kree.

Also what makes you think that it's not justified for the Taliban to capture US nationals that are in war with the Taliban. Just like the coalition troops will pick anybody up if they sense them being sympathizers of the insurgents.

These people were there to work AGAINST the Taliban.

In THIS case, Taliban don't need to play the game they usually DO when they kidnap civilians.
For instance, they will kidnap NGO workers and then make it look like they didn't. But, most likely they are in touch with the kidnappers (sometimes the kidnappers are their right hand men) and the Taliban also have their shares.

I understand there are things done using TALIBAN name, but with the flow of time TALIBAN movement itself is getting more corrupt.

I've heard of a bunch of cases where Taliban have officially denied any involvement in cases similar to this (civilians). Not knowing the fact that they were controlling it from the beginning.

This only goes for the kidnappings outside the cities (not specifically criminal gang related) . Instead politically motivated kidnapings. e.g. da hokomat sara chey sok kar kawee.

But the fact that Taliban themselves have people working for them in the government makes it confusing for the public. Because, people will always ask, why is it that the Taliban can receive support from the government (security contractors paying the insurgents in many parts) but when people want to do that for themselves or by themselves, they are not allowed.
In other words, it's OK for you to run an NGO or a construction company, ONLY if you are paying a part of it to the Taliban.
This is not ACCORDING TO CNN/BBC.

Za ham taleb tarbrona laram aw ham pa hokomat ke. (like man pashtuns)

Fortunately, I can look at it from a lot of more prospectives than someone that has only access to the central government.

I understand they have connections in the Govt but its for their own interests. dont you think that is hypocritical?
I wouldn't associate an entire chunk of a population with spies and destroying our beautiful Afghanistan.

I don't even think it's good to have an irritation against the very own people that just happen to believe in a different ideology than you do..

Some of them might be be "spies", and that's also according to you, me, BBC, CNN and whatnot.

But the more we refer to them as traitors and despise them, the more we are fueling this chaos.

Taliban refer to the secularist/democratic Afghans as kufar, murtadeen and the spies of the west.

Again, the more we despise each other and the angrezan benefits from it.

Whether it's a democratic despising the Islamists, or whether it's the islamists despising the democrats.

The only thing they bash each other for is, "ISI SPIES, Pakistan controlled" and " Western slaves, pimps and thieves"

Currently Pakistan is worried when America leaves Afghanistan because they did a U-Turn on their policy of supporting taliban.

Analysts in Pakistan claim as america is leaving Afghanistan, it is likely that taliban will definately be a big player when it comes to leadership. So they want the govt of Pakistan to shift its policy and make friendship with taliban if not then they will have two enemies surrounding their nation.

Pakistan has been unable to affect what goes on in Afghanistan in the current times, because they were pressurised by America that they had even jailed their hero who made the nuclear bomb. Instead Afghanistan will affect Pakistans future to a greater extent.

We should not kill them or always criticize them but we have to admit they were trying to make slaves of Pakistan.

"During their regime nothing was positive"

Are you saying everything was positive in Afghanistan before the arival of Taliban? NO!
Infact, the situation got way better than that of early 1990s where MALES married MALES in some parts of the country and where women were kidnapped, raped and killed by warlords.

Exactly, we had no such thing as government or any kind of authority left. Afghanistan was run by hundreds-thousands of warlords etc.

Taliban were not responsible for what the warlords and communists had done to kabul, Afghanistan.

They didn't leave Afghanistan in any worst condition than they got it. With their crippled economy of theirs.

Da khalqo bas amda ywa khabara zda da, oh they got supported by the Pakistanies.

Afghanistan ba sha jor krai, pa de hal.

Look at what's going on right now? Christinaity spreading in Kabul, prostition and alcohol is common among different peers.

Corruption, bribery, kidnapping, security, lies, badbakhti, Gham, Be ghairati, Be namosi, be hayayee, and the list goes.

If I had to choose between living right now and 1996-2001.

I sure would have chosen the Taliban era, I could care less about what people say.

At least, there was security and a strong central government presence.

When they said something, they would do it. (unlike the current government talking about trillions and billions of dollars, whereas non is any where to be seen)

By all that being said, that doesn't mean I should start a Jihad against the current government officials and sympathizers i.e. kill, capture, depose and cause harm. Because, that would only help the WESTERN/PAKISTANI/IRANIAN/RUSSIAN (communist) causes i.e. "Divide and rule" and play games on peoples minds.

What do you think is causing so many people joining Taliban now a days?

Do you really think it's the Taliban ideology? NO!

It's because people are tired of lies, neck-tied westernized PHD corrupt officials that claim to be the advocates of peace, democracy and what not. Whereas in reality they are the biggest traitors and sellouts.

And, the same goes with the government. People don't join the so called "democratic" process because they have a soft side for democracy/secularism etc. But, because they happen to come from a tribe/political party, where the elders opposes Taliban etc, OR money, i'd say majority are in the government because of the money.

The Taliban will regain power and they will become the proxy of Pakistan again.
well, worst case, we will find a way to work with the Taliban.

I'm tired of people that makes taliban look like they are some kind of unstopable movement.

True, they might be gaining ground right now, because of the ignorance part from the central government (NATO/ISAF) and some other techniques that the Taliban use. (that i'd rather not discuss and stir up more trash)

Majority of the foot soldiers fighting alongside the Taliban are bright minded kids, motivated by western atrocities and central government ignorance on pashtun's issues. There are hundreds of kids that go home on "rokhsatyaney" from kabul to fight the coalition troops in the south, east and the north. Most of these teens either go to high schools, universities or private colleges in Kabul.

Most don not agree with the core ideology of Taliban themselves, but the fact that they can rely heavily on the Taliban movement (law, order, reliability, weapons/ammunition, organization, cover, protection, pride, showing toughness against the central government/NATO etc)

We have to look at Afghanistan from a different prospective, not a democratic or republican prospective.

There is no such thing as black and white (sometimes), you have to look into what really is going on.

Der dase da hokomat kar kawonkee dee, chey pa moseso aw NGOs ke kar kawee aw hamesh da gharbiano zed pa jango ke barkha akhlee, ya ye imkanat (mohemat) warta barabarawee.

Those too do not go parallel with Taliban ideologies, they reflect the Taliban image at this moment. But, I doubt they will remain TALIBAN once the foreign troops depart Afghanistan.
                    Infact, I'm positive!

What made me laugh a little was the $20,000 reward, I mean seriously? The gangs of Kandahar when they kidnap someone they demand for $50,000-$100,000 for his head. Here we have American soldiers kidnapped and all they say they are willing to offer is $20,000?

Money is motivation. Talibano wos pa Shalo zaro dollara bandey khabarey na kezhey, hagha pa milliona cheghey wahey.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
