Opposition: Saudi king’s son promotes ‘racist policy’ against nation’s blacks

    Special to WorldTribune.com

WASHINGTON — The Saudi opposition has been lobbying in the United States to oppose racism in the Gulf Arab kingdom.
The Institute for Gulf Affairs protested a Saudi government forum in the United States in mid-September.

Deputy Saudi Foreign Minister Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah.

The opposition institute said its target was Deputy Saudi Foreign Minister Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah, son of the king and deemed an architect of Riyad’s policy against the estimated three million blacks.
“Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah is deputy foreign minister and he implements this racist policy against blacks,” the institute said.
On Sept. 16, the Saudi royal family organized an economic forum in Los Angeles headed by Abdul Aziz. The institute lobbied Washington to press Riyad to end the policy of discriminating against Saudi blacks, deemed slaves.
“The Saudi monarchy bans blacks from many jobs including diplomats,
judges, security officers, ministers, mayors, senior clerics, and heads of
government departments,” the institute said on Sept. 16. “The Saudi Foreign
Ministry bans blacks from all diplomatic positions. That’s why none of you
have met a Saudi black diplomat before.”

The institute said the Saudi royal family has blocked the appointment of
blacks in government and civil service. The statement cited the absence of
blacks in media, education and government.
“The monarchy bans black women from appearing on television or working
as on camera reporters, and from many low-level jobs such including school
principal,” the institute said. “There is not one single black school
    principal in Saudi Arabia.”

The institute has lobbied both Congress and the administration to
protest Saudi racism. The lobbying urged Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker
to use the Los Angeles forum to speak out against racism.

The statement also cited Suleiman Al Huraisi, a 24-year-old black man
beaten to death by the Saudi religious police. The police, who hurled racial
epithets as they beat him, accused Al Huraisi of possessing alcohol in his
    Riyad home.
“None of his killers were ever brought to justice,” the institute said.

*Saudis are racists and hate black people.

They abused Ethiopians including raping and killing some of them.

They also prefer lighter-skinned Pakistanis to darker Bengalis and until recently always seemed to support the Pakistani/Jamaati bullying of Bangladesh.

If what you're saying is true then I reallly didn't know Saudis were that much worse than other gulf Arabs.

Maybe it's because the Emiratis are next to the sea and the sea tends to make people more relaxed and open. Maybe it's because many Emirati "Arabs" are originally Iranian and Balochi anyway centuries ago.

I really feel for the black Saudis who are being oppressed in Saudi Arabia. Hopefully the Saudi regime will try and do something to combat anti-black racism in Saudi rather than encourage it.

I have seen videos of how the Saudis treat Ethiopians and the only reason for the extreme brutality they treat them is a residual in-built hatred towards them activated by specific events.

Saudi Arabia has no right to style itself "Leader of the Muslim world" and lecture other Muslims and also threaten, bully and intimidate them as it was doing to Bangladesh and does to other countries e.g. Yemen, some Arab states and some Muslim countries etc.

Saudi Arabia Man Sentenced to 100 Lashes for Sending Racist text

By Ewan Palmer March 6, 2014 15:14 PM

The man has 30 days to appeal the sentence in Saudi Arabia(Reuters)

A man in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to receive 100 lashes after he was found guilty of sending a racist text message.

The court in the Makkak region handed down the sentence after the defendant reportedly insulted a man from another tribe via text message, reports Gulf news.

The verdict is the first racism-related decision to be handed down in a Saudi court. The man has 30 days to appeal the sentence.

The issue of racism in the Gulf country has been highlighted recently following the case involving a female pilot dubbed the "Rosa Parks of Saudi Arabia".

Nawal Al Hawsawi dropped the case against three women who are alleged to have called her an 'Abda' (female slave), a derogatory term used to describe black people in the region.

Following huge media interest in the case, Al Hawsawi, a human rights activist, eventually dropped the case after the women involved in the allegations apologised.

I am thankful to Allah that we are not racist like other Khaleeji countries.
We are all treated equally and even foreigners of all classes and religions are generally respected for their contribution to our economy and developement unlike in UAE or Sa'udiya where everyone and even other Arabs from neighboring countries are looked down upon.
