  • International Mother's Day Language

Today is February 21st, International Mother's Day Language.

This is a UN recognized day.

It is based on the killing of 4 Bengalis in the then occupied East Pakistan on 21st February, 1952.

Pashtun nationalists have been remembering this day.

Important message from Watan Pal Yousafzai on his facebook.

When I read the articles and opinions in the Western Media regarding Afghanistan I fell that the Western and American have frozen thought regarding Afghanistan. It seems to me that the Westerners think that the social, cultural, political and economical development has frozen in Afghanistan in 2001 and Afghans are sleeping in caves, unaware of the world. The Westerners think that Afghans have no access to the modern world. It is so rubbish idea that if USA and its allies will leave Taliban and Alqaeda will walk in to the frozen cities of Afghanistan. They ignore this fact that it is not 1996, it is 2014. Afghans have seen and explored the world. They love development, they love justice, equality, national independence and they will fight for it. How comes 20,000 people over come 40 million people? Please westerners do not make fool of us. We know what do you want. We might agree to be friends but do not frighten us, as now every Afghan knew well , that who are Taliban? where did they get weapons and training from ? Whose war are they fighting? We were not knowing this in 1994. We are not frozen blocks.
