Shooting down a UCAV is not a big deal at all.

Considering that Predator has far bigger RCS's and on on top of that they are carrying Missiles aswel which generate most of the RCS's

In 2002 Pakistani F-16 shot down indian Searcher UAV which is much smaller and no weapons hence difficult to be picked up by radar.

Beside this the drone captured by Iran was not armed.it was also not shot down but hacked. There are rumours that Iran had hired chinese to hack the RQ-170 UAV

Iranian guards kill Pakistani soldier near border

        By Syed Ali Shah

QUETTA: Iranian border guards attacked a vehicle of Frontier Corps, a para-military force, inside Pakistani territory killing one personnel and injured another three on Friday morning.

Khan Wasey, the Spokesman FC told Dawn.com that Iranian border guards have been violating Pakistani territory since the past two days. He said the FC's vehicle was also damaged during the attack.

The injured personnel were rushed to Quetta for medical treatment.

Wasey said that Iranian border guards entered inside Pakistani territory and attacked the FC vehicle in Mand Tehsil of Balochistan's Kech district.

In another incident, Wasey said 30 Iranian border guards entered into Pakistan's town of Nokundi which borders Iran and made the residents of a nearby village hostage for six hours.

"They subjected the residents to physiological torture and then left," he said.

Inspector General Frontier Corps, Major General Ejaz Shahid, strongly condemned the infiltration of Iranian guards and vowed to defend the border in the case of future violation.

Additional FC personnel were called in the area to avoid occurrence of another untoward incident and overall security was tightened at the porous 900km border between the two countries.

FC and Home and Tribal Affairs Department Balochistan have informed the Foreign Office with regard to recent violations by Iranian border guards, an officer of the Home Department, who declined to be named told Dawn.com.

Within next few days a formal protest is going to be lodged with Iranian high-ranking officials, he added.

Panic prevailed in Pakistan border towns in the aftermath of Iranian infiltration in the area and their continued attacks.

Two Iran guards, ‘several rebels’ killed in border clash: ISNA
Meanwhile, Iran’s ISNA news agency reported that two Iranian border guards have been killed in clashes with ‘rebels’ who tried to infiltrate the country from Pakistani side.

“Several rebels” also died in the Thursday night fighting, ISNA quoted a military official as saying, adding that a car and weapons were seized.

The clashes erupted in Iran's restive province of Sistan-Baluchistan, where attacks by rebels earlier this month killed five people, four of them security forces. Iranian media said 14 people were arrested in connection with those attacks.

Last month an Iranian soldier was killed and two pro-government militiamen wounded in an attack blamed on the extremist group Jaishul Adl (Army of Justice).

The same group captured five Iranian soldiers in February, four of whom were released in April. The fate of the fifth man remains unknown.

Iran has repeatedly asked Pakistan to act to “stop the infiltration of terrorists” and has tasked the elite Revolutionary Guards to monitor the restive border region.

        1. Pakistani nationalists boasts day and night about being a "nuclear power".

However America regularly attacks Pakistani citizens with drone strikes, whereas it would not dare do that with "non-nuclear" Iran.

Both Iran and India have had border clashes with Pakistan in the last week with both accusing Pakistani territory of being a base for terrorists launching attacks against them.

        2. Iranian forces did not just merely fire at Pakistani soldiers (most likely Pashtuns who are the main bulk of the Frontier Constabulary or "FC") but - according to the Pakistani paper Dawn - went directly in to the territory of "nuclear power", Pakistan and held a village "hostage" (word used by the FC spokesman).

        3. What will "nuclear power" Pakistan do now?

a: Go begging to the UN and US as they did after they provoked India by launching artillery attacks against India after they lost a hockey match to India recently?

b: Go to their allies Saudi Arabia and Turkey and ask them for support.

What can Saudi Arabia do, when it is already doing its utmost to destabilize Iran and support Wahabi rebels in Iraq and Syria?

What can Turkey do when it has already been warned by Iran of war if it seeks to attack Syria?

The question now is, would the Iranians send soldiers in to Pakistan to catch rebels?

I would say yes....if even the much weaker Afghan National Army bombs Pakistan, than the much stronger Iranian army will not just bomb it but send soldiers inside its territory.
          - As I said earlier this year, the Iranian army would send troops inside Pakistani territory.

This is what the Pakistani newspaper Dawn itself reports quoting a Pakistani FC official who states that Iranian forces held a Pakistani village "hostage".

          1. The "soldiers" on the Iranian border are not part of the Pakistani army but members of the FC (Frontier Constabulary), mainly staffed by Pashtuns.

For the Punjabi-dominated Pakistan army leadership a dead "Pathan" on the border is of no concern.

          2. The village held "hostage" by the Iranians were either Balochi or Pashtun, either way the Punjabi generals of Rawalpindi could care less for a village of "Baahloochees" or "Pathaans".

For them the "real Pakistan" is Punjab.

                Pakistani statements in this topic...

TTP case is different. They are into different warfare and you just can't bomb them but if we go into a war with iran.Which is not even possible but i am just supposing this

it will take pakistan hardly 1 week to bring them down.probably even less than a week.

They should not mistake pakistan for arab states.the damage they will get from pakistan in a week will be more than from a decade long war with iraq.

Your comparing Iraq with India?are you insane? The paramilitary forces of pakistan are more than enough to Keep a country of Iraq strength at bay for decades to come

                About war with iran.

They can try whatever they want.but i am sure they are not stupid enough.

Pakistan is responsible. But I am sure they are not stupid enough to try this.Because they are well aware of the fact and the difference between the Pakistan armed forces and iranian armed forces.

So there is no comparision between iran and pakistan military might.they are atleast 3 decades behind Pakistan in military arena.

Iran currently is in negative growth while pakistan picked it upto 5% this year.iran GDP has reduced to 396billion dollars as per many sources.which means by 2020-22 we can cross them easily

Iran has carried out indigenous effort i agree. But they are still like 20 years behind Pakistan.

Iran is a clown nation. Their border guards got kidnapped by some Baluch gangs/smugglers in their own territory and now they are saying Pakistan cannot control their side.

                One thousand lols.

I am sure If Pakistanis really did send militants into Iran, we can probably reclaim the city of Mashad for the Afghans in three months.

They are very stupid for accusing the state for militants.

They can't go into any country,

So far i could be wrong but they have threatened israel and usa more than 1 thousand time.and they havent been slightly close to israel so far.

They got involved in war with iraq only because iraq was the offensive player.
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.

Pakistan is a failed terrorist state which is destabilizing south Asia including sponsoring terrorism in Afghanistan, India and Bangladesh.

                    - It has existed for nearly 7 decades and has achieved nothing apart from religious extremism, terrorism, feudalism and poverty.

                    - "Army worship" is very strong in Pakistan because Pakistanis by nature are arrogant and big-headed people and like to perceive themselves as being a "great" nation.

Since they cannot cite any greatness in terms of economy, intellectuality etc, they use pride in the army as a source of self-esteem and boasting of their "greatness".

Hence the constant reference to Pakistan's "nuclear bomb", something which North Korea, another failed state has.

                    - However the army itself is a failure and has achieved nothing apart from losing 1/2 of the country, "East Pakistan", Bangladesh and a humiliating defeat.

                    - It is now fighting 2 wars inside the country against the TTP and the Baloch rebels and there are perhaps around 3 million Pakistanis (nearly all Pashtuns) as IDPs, internal refugees including the latest 1 million refugees from Waziristan.

                    - It started firing with India a few weeks ago but the Modi administration believes in robust behaviour and unleashed a ferocious artillery barrage against the Pakistanis stunning the Pakistanis with utter disbelief so much that they ran to the UN and US to beg them for help against India.

                    - Afghan forces have had skirmishes with Pakistan in the past and allegedly even captured Pakistani border posts.

                    Afghan special forces.

Picture allegedly of ABP (Afghan Border Police) Forces capturing a Pakistani border post.

                    - It is now in a clash with Iran which has sent troops inside Pakistani territory and held control of a Pakistani village for 6 hours as per Pakistani security officials.

                      1. Pak-Iran border is a smuggler's heave. Some of the bordering hamlets are so inaccessible that the inhabitants themselves are not sure of their nationality. This is the corridor that Iran uses for its trade during the embargoes. Cheap Iranian goods, fruits and other items are procured by Pakistanis through this route.

                      2. In 1948 there was a major clash on this border between armies of both nations. The Shah moved quickly to patch this up. He even visited Quetta to be feted in the Officers' Mess of the PA unit involved in the clashes. The Shah presented the Mess with an exquisite carpet which is still displayed in this unit's mess.

                      3. Both Pakistan and Iran will at the end look beyond their differences and come to a settlement as of now. But the future may not be rosey. Shia-Sunni differences and recent Indian moves to seduce Iran are to be watched. India must be seen as the nominee of USA and Zionists to further their policies in the region.Unless both Iran and Pakistan are led by wise leadership, chances will remain for future flare ups.

Pakistani Liaqat ali khan and Zahir shah of iran were considering a possible formation of a confederation with the inclusion of Afghanistan aswell.

But Afghanistan pulled out from the agreement and later iran and pakistan also has lost the interest in the possible confederation.

Otherwise it would by now had been one of the most powerful country on earth.
