Iran successfully test fires two new missiles

Iran successfully test fired a new generation of a ballistic missile and a laser-guided missile on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian defense minister says.

Iran successfully test fired a new generation of a ballistic missile and a laser-guided missile on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian defense minister says.
“The new generation of long-range ground-to-ground ballistic missile with a fragmentation warhead and the laser-guided air-to-surface and surface-to-surface missile dubbed Bina (Sighted) have been successfully test fired,” Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said on Monday.
He said the new domestically-designed and indigenous ballistic missile can "evade the enemy missile defense systems" and can "destroy multiple targets.”
Dehqan also noted that the Bina laser-guided missile can be fired from the ground or from above.
“This missile is capable of striking important targets such as bridges, tanks and the enemy command centers with great precision," the Iranian minister said.
He added that such valuable achievements despite sanctions and enemy pressure once again proves that the Islamic Revolution will dynamically continue its path.
Over the past years, Iran has made important breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing important military equipment and systems.
The Islamic Republic has repeatedly assured other nations, especially its neighbors, that its military might poses no threat to other countries, stating that its defense doctrine is based on deterrence.

Iran test-fires missiles, US 'closely watching'

Tehran: On the eve of 35th anniversary of Islamic revolution, Iran successfully test-fired two missiles with US reportedly “closely watching” the recent developments.

The two missiles test-fired include a guided surface-to-surface and air-to-surface missile while another is a fragmented missile capable of carrying multiple warheads, as per an international news agency report.

The report stated that the ballistic missile had radar-evading capabilities, but did not give a name. It said the second missile was called Bina, or “Insightful,” and was laser-guided. It said it could be fired from the ground or from aircraft.

Iran already has surface-to-surface missiles with a range of about 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles) capable of reaching Israel and US military bases in the region.

Reacting to the news of test-firing of missiles, US reportedly said that it is “closely watching” the recent moves.

Iran and the US have repeatedly raised their concern over Iran's nuclear program despite it's claims that the program is for peaceful purposes.

Under the November accord, Tehran agreed to curb parts of its atomic drive for six months in exchange for marginal relief from international sanctions.

I hate Iran but respect the hell out of them.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
