National anthems and flags are no evidence of somebody's faith.

Qaddafi was a kaafir and he died upon kufr because he wrote and published his Green Book of which he said it to be better than what Allah has revealed.

Suggesting that there is anything better than what Allah has revealed is kufr according to all 4 schools of fiqh and all major scholars of Islam of the last 1400 years.

Furthermore, Qaddafi said that starting surah's with "Qul" is not necessary because the qul refers to Prophet Muhammad sal allahu alayhi wasalam and since he is no longer alive, we can recite the surah by skipping the Qul.

By making such a statement he negates a word from a verse in Qur'an. Negating a single lettre or harakah is kufr. How about negating an entire word?

Regardless of how he died and whether the rebels opposing him were Wahabis or not, Qaddafi was a kaafir and he died upon kufr. The way he died doesn't change his status as a kaafir.

Get over it and move on with your life.

Kadhafi, Saddam Hussein, the Saudi Kings and the Afghans who mix Pashtunwali and Sharia equally deserve the status of kafir.

But still, their status is better compared to the wahabi rebels in Libya, the Maliki soldiers in Iraq and the ANA/ANP in Afghanistan.

Indeed, these people who sided with NATO and Jews, the biggest murderers of muslims, who took NATO and Jews as awliyas (partners and friends and protectors) are munafiqs according to the Holy Qur'an.

And nifaq is worse than kufr.
