I am basically against charity and helping the poor in cash. I wish to help people in teaching them fishing not giving them a cooked fish in their mouth.

I see a valuable lesson in this. Allah gives us wealth as a test just like he gives us calamities as a test. The Arabs failed the test in front of our eyes.

Some day the wealth beneath the surface of Afghanistan will be extracted in large quantities. If we do exactly what Arabs are doing, it means that we also fail the test. It also shows ungreatfulness to Allah.
