My forefathers were hanafis. And no where in hanafi books of law does it say that we should become secularists like MB.Originally posted by ډګروال View Postfunny how the wahabi kingdom supports the anti morsi coup and their wahabi minions try to find justification or maybe even find a reason to do takfir.
you beter repent to the way of your forefathers and follow Islam and not Islam wrapped around arab nationalism.
Instead of posting random stuff, educate yourself. I can quote pages from hanafi jurists making takfeer of those who compromise religion.
If you think you are following the way of your forefathers, do some research. Hanafis are the most strict against secularists and modernists. In fact, hanafi scholars have laid the foundation of various principles stipulating the way to do politics.
After years spent on forums, you probably dont even know the fiqh of istinja. Here you are talki g as if you know the law and you can distinguish arab nationalism from shariah.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. What's a "modernist" a person who lives like its 2013/14? So Hanafi's supports being backwards, are you saying that?Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View PostMy forefathers were hanafis. And no where in hanafi books of law does it say that we should become secularists like MB.

[QUOTE]That is not true anymore. The Turkish Army currently is headed by hanpicked generals and officers who are more Islamically inclined. Erdogan got rid of all the top brass when it was discovered they were plotting a coup against his government.Originally posted by Bengal_Tiger View Post1. Egypt is doing what the Turkish army did to the Turkish "Islamists" e.g. Necmettin Erbakan and co, stifle them so hard that they will moderate themselves.
Morsi made the fatal mistake in being too accommodating to the military and the seculars. Had Erdogan been in his place, he would have immediately jailed all the top generals of the army on allegations of planning a coup (which they did), and then brought up low level officers drawn from the more religious and rural provinces. Morsi was naive, and he paid for that.
AKP is anything but moderate. It has lifted the previous ban on headscarves. It has started closing down night clubs in Istanbul, and is rapidly bringing Islam back. Remember the majority of Turkey voted for AKP- an Islamic political party- not secular. The AKP itself was a more moderate breakaway group of mainly senior Refah party leaders (Erbakan's party).
The majority of Egyptians are opposed to the military coup. https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/ne...morsis-removal2. The Brotherhood know that the Nasserite Egyptian military, secular elite, liberals, Christians and other elements of Egyptian society will not allow them to rule and if they do it is after severely moderating their ideology and policies.
Why dont you just admit that you support the coup of a democratically elected government of MB? By siding with the Egyptian Army, you are stating that you are opposed to the peoples' will. For your information, the Egyptian Army is also now cracking down on the April 6th movement which is largely secular. In other words, you are for despotism and tyranny.
Its also clear that you support the Egyptian military in gunning down protestors on a daily basis. You are trash.Last edited by Shah-i-Kot; 12-26-2013, 11:28 PM.

[QUOTE=Shah-i-Kot;719279]

Wrong. I am talking about 1997 and the soft coup of that period. The Erbakan government was overthrown not by a direct coup but by intimidation. This caused great introspection amongst Turkey's "Islamists" and lead to the formation of the more moderate AKP. The Turkish army is led by Necdet Ozel who toes the Erdogan line out of fear but Ozel is himself a Kemalist as are all major known officers of his generation.
Erdogan could only move against the army with the support of the Gulenists who had spent decades infiltrating the judiciary, intelligence, police force and army. Erdogan got rid of the military threat after the Ergenekon and Balyoz trials. Even 5 years in to his leadership in 2007 the secular Turkish army issued a controversial website declaration basically opposing the possible presidency of Gul. Gul's wife had a headscarf. It took years and patience for Erdogan to domesticate the military. You know nothing about Turkish politics and do not know what you are talking about. Stop talking rubbish.
Erdogan was scared of the first few years of his rule and then only years later did he act against them. Why did it take him 10 years to end the ban on headscarfs in parliament?Because he had to be careful of the very anti-Islamic and powerful secularist establishment in Turkey. Though I don't like Morsi, you are talking nonsense and if it took 10 years for Erdogan to end the ban on headscarfs in parliament what could Morsi do in 11 months?
AKP is anything but moderate. It has lifted the previous ban on headscarves. It has started closing down night clubs in Istanbul, and is rapidly bringing Islam back. Remember the majority of Turkey voted for AKP- an Islamic political party- not secular.
AKP is moderate and does not call itself an "Islamic" party but a centre-right party sympathetic to Muslim values. There are atheists in the party. Lifting the ban on headscarves does not make you not moderate, it makes you fair. Alcohol is allowed in Turkey. Homosexuality is legal in Turkey. There are many religious people in the AKP and that is the core of their support and the real AKP but they cannot change a society where secularism is so strong amongst the elite and has been a continuous process for 200 years. Turkish secularism and westernization predates Ataturk by 100 years i.e. the Tanzimat reforms, i.e. homosexuality was legalized in 1858 before Ataturk was even born.

Name calling never leads to success and unfortunately I will have to place you on ignore unknownprince a.k.a. Shah-i-Kot. I did not insult you but you insulted me. I do not support the Egyptian government shooting down people and that is wrong. It is like me saying you support the Muslim Brotherhood and "Islamists" so support the murder of Egyptian soldiers in Sinai and the bombing of civilians in Egypt. It is also like me saying you support Jamaat e Islami in Bangladesh, so support the sex-camps that Pakistanis ran in Bangladesh with Jamaati support.
I could be emotional and personal too if I wanted but I choose not to be.
- I do not support the Egyptian military, in fact a friend of mine told me that even post-Mubarak a lot of change was cosmetic and that torture was still running but for the sake of argument and showing the deficiences of the arguments of the rude and emotional UnknownPrince a.k.a Shah-i-Kot, let's see why things in Egypt aren't as simple as this Brotherhood supporter thinks they are:

Egypt's army chief rides wave of popularity towards presidency | World news | theguardian.comBut the vast majority of Egyptians back Sisi despite the many failures of the military junta (known as Scaf) that governed Egypt following Mubarak's exit in 2011, and despite activists' warnings that a Sisi presidency would be likely bring a revival of Mubarak-era authoritarianism.
Now this source, the Guardian disagrees with what the source quoted by UnknownPrince a.k.a. Shah-i-Kot says. I am not saying either of them are correct. I am saying that UnknownPrince clearly cannot make such bold claims as he does.
However a September poll claims a narrow majority of Egyptians oppose the army's overthrow of Morsi.
Egypt's army chief rides wave of popularity towards presidency | World news | theguardian.com
This shows I am objective and willing to present both sides of the case. However the fact is the army has taken over now and that is a reality whether Unknownprince likes it or not.
I am happy that Morsi has been got rid of even if he was voted in or not because of his support for the forces of genocide in Bangladesh i.e. Jamaat. This is in the same way I would be happy at hearing the demise of Obama - who also has been democratically elected - due to his many war crimes.
At the end of the day if the "Muslim" (Mufsid) Brotherhood want people like me to respect them they must stop supporting war criminals in my country. If the democratically elected leader of France supported Nazis, one cannot expect a Jew to like him and that Jew has the right to be happy at his demise. That is a democratic right.
I hope the "Muslim" (Mufsid) Brotherhood learn the truth about 1971 and the role of Pakistan and Jamaat in war crimes in Bangladesh and disassociate themselves from Jamaat e "Islami", otherwise 150 million Muslims of Bangladesh in the 3rd largest Muslim country on earth cannot be expected to like them.Last edited by Bengal_Tiger; 12-27-2013, 07:38 AM.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

the brotherhood are an egyptian group which was founded and operates in egypt, these offshoots are no more their responsibility than they are your responsibility since you are a practicing muslim and have more in common with these people than don't. bangladesh is not the center of the world and unless you have proof of the egyptian brotherhood funding and sending men to commit atrocities in bangladesh, then your point is not worth discussing further.
you are asking an egyptian group to disassociate itself from a bangladeshi group when the links are nearly non existent while at the same time millions of people in bangladesh support this jamat. how silly is that? if these millions of supporters in bangladesh do not know the bloody history of this group than why do you expect the brotherhood in egypt who have no stake in a country that is not important to them to know about this history? There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
