Our country is a poor one. The international image of Bangladesh is that it is a small poor country full of starving people and floods. Whilst we are indeed a poor country with problems we also have many achievements. I know people who say life is better in Dhaka than in London (for them).

We do not have many friends, real friends and the only countries I would count as real friends of ours are China, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia.

We have powerful enemies such as India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia (and GCC), Turkey and so on.

Our "Muslim" brothers such as the Pakistanis have betrayed us and backstabbed us, massacring our men, women and children as well as rape, while the Turks and Arabs support them. Turks recently attacked the Bangladeshi embassy.

Afghanistan is an important nation for us Bangladeshis in many ways.

- The first Muslim state in Bengal was created by an Afghan.

This state is considered the forerunner of the modern state of Bangladesh and thus it can be argued that historically the founder of the forerunner to Bangladesh was an Afghan.

Bakhtiyar Khilji (rahmatullahi 'alaih) from Garamsir, Afghanistan, an Afghan Turk.

- We had ulama and awliya from Afghanistan and Khorasan in our country.

- We had Afghan and Pashtun rulers such as Usman Afghan Khan, Isa Khan, the Karranis and so on.

- Afghanistan is a brother Muslim country, a true brother not an enemy state like Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Pakistan.

- We have Afghan students studying in Bangladesh.

Our mutual enemies are:

- Pakistan, which sponsors terrorism and extremism in both of our countries with the active support of Saudi Arabia. Pakistan also seeks to destabilize both countries and keep them weak.

- Saudi Arabia which sponsors Wahabism, extremism and terrorism and in the Bangladeshi case organizes police harassment of Bangladeshi workers in the country whenever the Dhaka government does something the Saudi regime does not want.

- Taliban and other "Islamic" extremists. This week the Taliban threatened the Bangladeshi embassy in Pakistan.

However as a Muslim brother I can tell you that insha'Allah all of these enemies of Bangladesh and Afghanistan will insha'Allah be destroyed step by step, and we are seeing their destruction in front of our eyes.

We Bangladeshis are helping our Afghan brothers rebuild their country in the form of BRAC who have set up schools around the country to help with the education process in Afghanistan.

I myself personally helped a Mahmudzai from Kabul with his university work when we studied together.

Also as a Muslim brother please do not believe the anti-Bangladeshi propaganda being spread by Jamaatis, Ikhwanis, "Islamists" against Bangladesh, including on this forum. We are a very Islamic country and even now it is easier for someone in Britain to get a visa for Tableegh to Bangladesh than it is for Pakistan or India. We banned Youtube in Bangladesh when there was a video insulting the prophet (solAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam), something which neither Saudi Arabia or Turkey did.


Anyway as a brother Muslim country and the land that the historical founder of our country came from Afghanistan and its people are very important to us, be they Tajik (I have had Farsiwan friends), Uzbek, Pashtun and so on. We are not very strong now, and our enemies such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia bully us because of this, but we are getting stronger and so now apart from BRAC we cannot do much for Afghanistan except make sincere du'a for our brothers and sisters there, to make their country prosper and to protect them from the enemies of Muslims such as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the Taliban.

By the way though we have historical ties with Afghanistan we have 0 relations with Punjabis of Pakistan prior to the 1940s and the creation of "Pakistan".

Our union in the federation of Pakistan with those treacherous and backstabbing Punjabis was only for 23 years which is historically nothing (Pashtun rulers of Bengal ruled for much longer).

However in the absence of any history - Punjabis have never had a Punjabi Muslim state ever - Punjabis focus excessively on the basta*d state called "Pakistan" and this includes focusing on so-called "east Pakistan", which many regard as spiritually their ex-province.

Hamid Gul even said last year of Bangladesh and Pakistan, they are two states, one nation.

However this is only because Punjabis have no history and are thus so obsessed with Bangladesh, whose brief 23 union with Pakistan is about 1/3 of the whole of Pakistan's lifetime.

Punjabis do however have two Muslim neighbours, Iran and Afghanistan, so if Punjabis wish to federate with anyone they can do it with Iran. However everyone knows Iranians do not care about Pakistan and look down on Pakistanis as inferior.

I don't think India is Bangladesh enemy??? as I read in history India actually helped Bangladesh against the Pakistani army in 1971 and India has 190 million Muslims.
