Prohibiting or opposing any aspect of Islam is a specific type of kufr. Its the same type of kufr as promoting or permitting a prohibited matter in Islam.

Facial veil is an established sunnah which some, like the hanafis, consider to fard/waajib.

If Rahim Bangash denies that facial veil is from Islam, that would be still kufr. But a different type of kufr which is called kufr juhood.

According to all 4 schools of sunni law, rejecting, opposing, hating or obstructing any aspect of Islam, major or minor, is apostasy.

This is the proof that that veil is a religious concept imposed by religion on Pashtuns and others while covering the bodies of women like corpses is not the tradition of Pashtunwali. Pashtun women before Islamism were free to go around.

These Kochis if given opportunity can become great doctors. Only 1% of women in the world(mainly in Saudi and Pashtunland) women cover their faces no where else. It means covering face is not a norm but abnormality.

In Iran they do not cover the face. I have been to Iran many times and have found them great people where women participate in all walks of life. If Iran is liberated from the rule of Mullah it will be the Asian super power.

Old generation of my family in Pashtunland has to cover the face but after a great struggle now the young ones are not covering the faces. In foreign countries they wear what is customary.

My issue is mainly with the covering of face. I want to see Pashtun women as free as men on the beaches, on mountains, in parks, in play grounds, in hospitals, in gardens, in work shops, in houses, freely moving around like men not covered like sacks. Can you imagine a fully veiled woman in a sports ground, on a beach or on a running track?
