  • Bangladesh, a holy land of Islam

As I have pointed out elsewhere Afghanistan as a state is older than most countries in the world including the USA, Australia, Brazil (South America), Arab world etc and should be respected.

I would also like to point out that:

Ahmed Shah Abdali (rahmatullahi 'alaih) is considered a wali of Allah by most Islamic scholars and amongst one of the greats of Islamic history alongside Salahuddin and others, whereas Jinnah is a dubious character suspected of being a British agent who drank alcohol and ate pork.

So Afghanistan is a very important nation in the Muslim world.

    Ahmed Shah Abdali (rahmatullahi 'alaih).

However Bangladesh is also a very important nation.

Remains of ancient mosque found in Bangladesh - YouTube

    1. The video above speaks of a mosque which was apparently founded during the time of the holy prophet (solAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) according to some.

This mosque is in northern Bangladesh away from the coast where it is known that Arab traders prior to Islam frequented.

    2. Saad bin Abi Waqqas (radi'Allahu anhu) was a companion of the prophet and said to have visited China but on the way there he stopped by Bengal/Burma and it is probably through him that Islam spread.

    3. Bangladesh has probably the second highest number of mosques in the world, 250,000.

The number of mosques in Bangladesh stands at more than 250,000, the state minister for religious affairs tells parliament.

"According to a survey conducted by the Islamic Foundation in 2008, there are 250,399 mosques in the country," Shahjahan Mia said on Tuesday in reply to a query from Sunamganj-5 MP Muhibur Rahman Manik during the question-answer session.
    Country has 250,399 mosques: minister | Bangladesh | bdnews24.com

This is definitely twice as much as Egypt, which has maximum of 110,000 mosques. So Bangladesh has about twice as many mosques as the biggest Arab country in the world.

Indonesia probably has the highest number of mosques on earth with 800,000 mosques in the country.

    Mosque in Indonesia.

Indonesia is the biggest Muslim country on earth and home to some of the world's most pious and humble Muslims.

However Indonesia is bigger than Bangladesh and is an archipelago, to go from one part of Indonesia to the other is like going from London to Moscow.

Bangladesh is far, far smaller. So the mosque to land ratio in Bangladesh is greater than any other part of the world. Bangladesh has the highest mosque density on earth.

On a spiritual level if mosques (masaajid in Arabic i.e. places of sujood [prostration], houses of Allah) are places of light (nur) then from a spiritual viewpoint, Bangladesh would if seen -in metaphorical terms - from a spiritual satellite image be the most alighted place in the world in terms of mosque density, and Allah knows best.

    4. Bangladesh has more madrassas than any other country on earth including Indonesia.

However the madrassas in Bangladesh in addition to being more numerous than Indonesia's have a more intense and in depth curriculum following the traditional Nizam i Darsi which includes heavy study of the Arabic language (including sarf [morphology], nahw [grammar], balaghah [eloquence), Quran, Ahadith, Fiqh (jurispudence) and so forth.

This results in Bangladesh having more "ulama" (Islamic scholars) than any other country in the world.

However that would be basic level "Ulama" who know basic Islamic law, can recite the Quran correctly (tajweed) and so forth, not necessarily world class specialists.

On a spiritual level Allah's protection extends to believers and to places where Allah is remembered (dhikr).

Bangladesh has the honour of having the biggest gathering of believers, worshippers of Allah on the entire earth. We are created to remember and worship Allah, and Bangladesh is the place where there is the largest meeting of believers to do precisely that i.e. remember and worship Allah.

This is thus the source of immense divine blessings.

The existence of the independent Muslim state of Bangladesh which is an oasis of Islam in a sea of non-Islam is almost a miracle and ulama (scholars) and awliya (saints) would speculate that it is Allah's 'ni'mah' (grave/favour) to those who brought Islam to this blessed land.

Bangladesh does not border any other Muslim country and is bordered by a nuclear power to the north and west and an aggressive etho-supremacist state to the east (Burma).

All of these facts and others are important to know in the face of the right-wing Pakistani propaganda to:

    1. De-legitimize Bangladesh and the Muslim Bengali.
    2. Vilify the Muslim Bengali as a traitor.

It is also important in the face of the Pakistani-Jamati inspired Saudi pressure and campaign against Bangladesh and Muslim Bengalis which includes harassment of Bangladeshi workers in the gulf by the Saudi regime.

Islam in Bangladesh is older than:

    - Turkey
    - Indonesia
    - Egypt (conquered by the Khulafa Rashideen, the mosque in northern Bangladesh is concurrent with the time of the prophet solAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam).
    - Morocco
    - Algeria

and nearly all Muslim countries outside the Arabian peninsula.

Given this fact it makes sense why Allah has made Bengalis the second biggest Muslim ethnic group in the Arabian peninsula after Arabs themselves.

So Bangladesh is blessed and a holy country with more mosques per mile than any other place on earth.

Thus Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, India, Burma, America, Jamat e Islami and other enemies of Bangladesh will face severe consequences if they try to do anything to this land or people.

    Dhaka.

Zaid Hamid, a preacher of hate and an enemy of Bangladesh and Bengalis.

Ali Al-Ghamdi, a Saudi propagandist who has run a campaign of lies against Bangladesh and issued indirect threats, he works with Pakistani nationalists.

Saud al-Faisal, Saudi foreign minister whose regime has also harassed Bangladesh and sought to undermine it in conjunction with the Pakistani regime and military.

To all enemies of Bangladesh in particular Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, do what you want but remember Allah is our protector.

There is no deity of worship and Muhammad Mustafa solAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam is the messenger of Allah.

      Thank you for your comments.

      1. Bangladesh is far from heaven on earth and is a very poor country which indeed has many problems as you were happy to point out.

      2. However it is also a blessed country, and of course I know that you will be angry to hear me say that thus your angry reaction to this thread.

I have pointed out the reasons.

      3. We are facing political, diplomatic and psychological war from your country, Pakistan and also from Saudi Arabia despite the fact we are a peaceful country and have never done anything to Saudis apart from supporting them.

It is sad that you are angry and have decided to attack me but there is little I can do about that.

I hope you do not post in this thread again and I am placing you on block as you have a history of sending me abusive private messages to which I never responded, and I hope you will leave this thread to others to discuss.

      Bye.

You have chosen to thank your Pakistani friends' post.

You are free to do so.

However you are a supporter of the controversial and in some places banned "Muslim brotherhood", who in their south Asian variant, the Jamaat e Islami have spoken out against the existence of Bangladesh.

Your party, the brotherhood in Egypt, when they were in power also supported war criminals being tried in Bangladesh.

However Allah is great, and Allah removed your party, the Ikhwan from power and I thank Allah that Ikhwani criminals are no longer in power in Egypt.

I ask Allah to protect Bangladesh from the likes of you, Ikhwan, Karachi, Pakistan and the Saudis.

Sallee 'alaa sayyidina Muhammad, ameen wa thumma ameen.

          that is your choice.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

              Dear Shamlawar Khurasani,

Thank you for taking the time out to comment on this thread.

I know you have a deep interest in Bangladeshi affairs seeing as you have started a number of threads about the country in the past.

Unfortunately, I have placed you on block as I do not wish to communicate with someone like you.

However since you have posted on a thread which is of national importance and since I do not know what you have posted, all I can say is the following general points in response to your general hatred of Bangladesh.

              1. Bangladesh is a Muslim country and had Islam there before your "Khurasan".
              2. Bangladesh is a poor country, with lots of problems.

However it also has lots of accomplishments that people do not know about and would of course be hidden by its enemies e.g. Saudis, Pakistanis, Salafis and people like yourself.

              3. We are not better than anyone else, and no one is better than us. We are just another country (a country whom you repeatedly chose to comment about)

              4. It is our natural right to defend our country and people against bullies and aggressors such as the Pakistanis and Saudis.

You may have a problem with that - you probably do - however that is our right and no matter how much you hate us, we will defend ourselves.

As a practising Muslim who prays 5 times a day and prayed 70% of my prayers in jamaah (congregation) recently I am confident that Allah will protect this blessed land - which you hate so much - from our enemies e.g. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the "Muslim" brotherhood, Salafis and people like you.

First of all, the Qur'an only mention 3 holy lands, Mecca,Medina and Jerusalem, adding anything else to the Qur'an, is shirk.

Bangladesh is officially a Secular state, and Secularism along with Nationalism and Socialism are it's founding principles.

Hindu holidays are official holidays in Bangladesh and your founding father Sheikh Mujib used to attend Hindu processions.

Bangladesh has the second largest Hindu population in world after India, many Bengali Hindus are seen as heroes in Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh, Bengali Muslims treat Bihari Muslims the way Dalits are treated in India.

Bangladesh follows English common law, in Bangladesh prostitution is legal, and a non-Muslim man can marry a Muslim girl legally.

Having thousands of mosques in the world doesn't make a country "holy", it's the culture of the people and the laws of the land that determines whether a country is "Islamic" or not.

The reason why Bangladesh has a lot of mosques is because it is the most densely populated country in the world, and most mosques there are quite small compared to the size of the average mosque in any Muslim country

There are many Bangladeshis that want their government to recognize Israel,
Time for a quiet revolution in Bangladesh-Israeli relations | JPost | Israel News

Israel was one of the first countries to recognize Bangladesh.

Bengalis aren't the second largest nationality in the Gulf because of their piousness but because of it's HUGE population of which nearly half live on less than $1.25 a day.

I'm not saying that Bengalis are bad Muslims or good Muslims either, I can't judge them on an individual basis, but Bangladesh the country isn't Islamic and it's FAR from "holy".

What is up with the insults?

As a non Pashtun like Bengal Tiger who defends Afghans on widely basis we should give him credit for that since most of the ones that come here and that are still here (won't name any names here) bash Pashtuns out of enjoyment. And Plus he is Muslim and not some kaffir apostle. Now im not sucking up or anything just speaking from my own perspective.

As Pashtuns we should be treating our guests with respect! Peace.

Crocodile eats Bangladesh man who sought its blessing

Police said that Rubel Sheikh and his mother had travelled 30 miles from their home to visit the Muslim shrine of Khan Jahan Ali, where the attack happened.
Officers said that hundreds of people visit the shrine every day to offer hens and goats to the five crocodiles living in the pond. Part of the ritual also involves bathing in the water, meaning that pilgrims have to take their chances with the fierce inhabitants of the pond.
"He went into the pond hoping to be blessed when a crocodile attacked him and dragged him into the deep part of the pond," said Inspector Humayun Kabir of the local police.
"This is a very unusual incident. Normally, the crocodiles are very friendly and do not harm people."
Inspector Kabir said that despite the threat posed by the hungry crocodiles, about 25 people dived into the pond following the attack on Wednesday.

I am not talking about the current government, which is indeed secular and which I am no fan of as Asad71 knows very well.

I am talking about the land, the people, the nation which has 1,400 years of Islam.

Pakistani nationalists attempt to de-Islamize Bengalis and portray us as Hindus and using such propaganda they justified our mass slaughter in 1971. They on the other hand "Islamize" Pakistani nationalism (Punjabi chauvinism) and instill in people the idea that to oppose "Pakistan" (in reality the interests of the feudal-military ruling elite) is to oppose Islam. This is why most Pashtuns of "Pakistan" are loyal to that state and opposed to secession.

Anyway coming back to Bangladesh we are a proud Muslim nation and our enemies (Pakistanis, Saudis, Indians, Americans, Burmese) can mock us. So be it.

However we have our independence and a free country where there are no US bases unlike Afghanistan and Pakistan and we will never compromise our independence and freedom.

There is a reason why America has bases in:

                          - Turkey
                          - Afghanistan
                          - Pakistan
                          - Saudi
                          - Indonesia
                          - UAE

but not in two Muslim nations, Iran and Bangladesh.

The Americans wanted a base in Bangladesh badly and even promised Bengali leaders before 1971 support for independence in return for a base in Bangladesh's St Martin's island.

42 years later to this day we have never given it to them and never will.

                          St Martin's Island, Bangladesh.

Singapore is the US's main military base in S.E. Asia and the home of their 7th fleet, the same 7th fleet that the Americans promised to send to help their Pakistani allies in 1971 when the American-Pakistani axis was defeated.

The Americans would like a base in St Martin's island as it is a strategic area.

You people can mock and belittle us as much as you want but as a Bangladeshi who frequently posts articles and comments in support of Muslims all over the world including Kosova, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Burma and elsewhere we know that apart from a few traitors and regimes (i.e. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia) and also racists (e.g. some of the sort on this forum) we have the backing of Allah ta'ala.

Im not disputing the fact that Bangladesh is independent.

You said that Bangladesh is a holy land of Islam. This is not true since the current regime of Hasina is persecuting political parties who have Islamic principles as the basis of their policies.

You yourself agreed with the banning of Islamist parties in previous posting.

Perhaps she is doing this because they are a threat to her corrupt hold on power and wealth.
