so there goes your first question; faulty premise.

      2. Also what about long before this? this practice was already widely known before NATO was even involved; which means it's not foreign at all. The NATO factor is thus just an excuse.
      1. the Pashtuns before that particular period were following Soviet advise and were not working within the Pashtun framework. they were trying to eliminate it, but their methods were faulty. the period 92-96 was chaos with no functioning gov. The Pashtuns after 96 were successful.

      2. NATO factor is not an excuse when the facts state that it increased a thousand folds under their administration. They even fund the practice:

The fact that Saudi Arabia is the gay capital of the middle east proves wahhabis promote homosexuality more than anyone.

That's not true; After 1991, the Pashtuns were fully in control and the ones who controlled it were the ones who fought the Soviets.

2.) NATO is not a factor because it preexists NATO.

            1. they were warlords who only wanted to profit for themselves. they did not really prevent crime since they were involved in crime including bacha bazi. this was not a functioning gov.

            2. NATO is a huge factor since they fund and promote it. The practice was completely eliminated and with a couple of generations, the practice would have disappeared from the society. so technically it did not pre exist before NATO, they reintroduced it because they brought the people that practiced it to power. Without NATO, this practice would not exist.

Which only verifies it's a culturally accepted practice and even perpetuated by those in authority. Also the fact that for decades before all this it was even an issue reinforces what I said

NATO isn't a factor because it pre-exists NATO; the link you showed only shows that they were appealing to an ALREADY existing market, not that they introduced it.

Pashtuns need to start blaming themselves for what they do; the "they made us do it" logic is weak mindedness.

not when they are trying to get rid of the practice, it disproves what your saying. 92-96 period had not authority, only warlords who were criminals.

plus its not really widely practiced in Pashtun areas. the only areas is Kandahar and logar.

its not a "they made us do it" logic. The fact is that pashtuns are fighting to get rid of this practice, the people that brought 96-01 period are the same ones fighting NATO who promotes it and funds it disproves your claim.

But they weren't trying to get rid of the practice; If they were, they'd have rid it within themselves. Rather than waiting for the Taliban or whoever else to get rid of it.

like that old saying charity starts at home. It's not a fact that pashtuns were trying to get rid of the practice; Because if they were, they'd simply NOT practice it. And then you wouldn't have Texas Companies who could tempt Pashtun police officers, because they'd have gotten rid of that interest in themselves,

it was not as wide spread as it is today. the practice increased when the gov broke down in 91. NATO on the other hand promotes it and funds it. their is no evidence the Russians did anything like that.

well, you need a strategy, you cant just stop it over night. the police officers you are referring to are a bunch of drug addicts which again was brought to the country by foreigners(NATO). Corruption was brought into the country by foreigners(NATO). etc.

the drugs are fueling immoral and unethical behavior like the corruption is which was brought in by foreigners. These are facts. See what I'm getting at here?
