But your reference is from Wikipedia a NON-Pashtun source, which is EDITED constantly. It makes sense to use Pashtun sources for Pashtun cultural things.

A Pashtun source about Pashtun cultural practice holds more weight.

I know what Thor means in Pashto; and the word Thor is used here because it's used to symbolize the "blacK" stain that is done to someone's reputation if their daughter marries who she chooses for herself

        Here have a look again.

and don't tell me this; tell This Saudi guy to stop tossing around the word Bacha Bazi as a response.
its not about denying. in the one thread where you were arguing, you posted a source that was written by some English guy back in the 19th century that stated that bacha bazi was not indigenous to Pashtuns or Afghanistan. It stated it came from the north of the country.

your describing it wrong. if a girl chooses her own spouse and gets her parents blessing, there is no Tor, it happens only if the parents blessing is not given. If that happens, In pashtunwali it is regarded as if the male took their girl by force. In pashtunwali, you cant marry a girl without at least one of the parents permission.

Post a Pashtun website about Pashtun culture. or scholarly references.

                  Codes of Pakhtoonwali

                  here it is again

                  Tor

As has been suggested earlier that Pukhtoons are sensitive about the honour of their women folk and slight molestation of the women is considered a serious and an intolerable offence. The cases of adultery and illicit relations are put down with iron hand in and no quarter is given to culprits either male or female. Casting of an evil eye on woman is tantamount to imperil one's life. Both sexes, therefore, scrupulously avoid indulgence in immoral practices.

If a Pukhtoon discovers that a particular person is carrying a liaison with any female of his house, then he neither spares the life of the female nor that of her seducer. This is called Tor in Pashto (literally meaning black but used for public disgrace and defamation) or stigmatization of both male and female who are found guilty of illicit amour on sufficient evidence. Both the man and woman are put to death according to the customary law and this type of notoriety, abuse and slander is wiped out with the blood of the culprit. Besides adultery, death penalty is also prescribed for elopement which also falls under the purview of Tor. In cases of Tor murder is not accounted for and the woman relatives are justified by the tribal law to kill their female relation as well as her paramour. In case any of the persons guilty of adultery succeeds in absconding, the heirs of the female have every right to kill him/her whenever and wherever an opportunity presents itself. Otherwise the matter remains Paighor (reproach).

Tor can only be converted to Spin (white) by death.

are you reading this or are you avoiding because you have trouble handling the truth ...because you're a Saudi extremist?

But we're not talking about beheading, we're talking about killing unmarried men and women who elope.

the method is not restricted by Pashtunwali. Only in Islamic Shari'ah is it restricted.

You're suffering from serious denial issues.

You're missing the point again; the method is open to the perpetrators; It's Thor which says that an eloped couple must be klilled. that's what we're talking about here.

Now I know you're Saudi because you're too stupid to comprehend this.

In other words; Pretty much what I said; if a Woman chooses for herself rather than subject to her parents authority.

in other words, the parents are outside the boundaries of Shari'ah, and thus so is Pashtunwali.

He fought the Safawiyah because they're Shi'a; not because they're Sufi, the fact they built a Ziyarah for Mirwais Khan Hotak shows that he had Sufi connections.

I just gave a proof that Pashtunwali was the reason for the KILLING. Go look in the Pashtunwali article by Khyber.org.
