Qaradawi Expelled from Kuwait



Controversial cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi has left Kuwait after being asked to leave due to the divisive remarks he has made inciting violence and bloodshed.
Qaradawi, who has often voiced support for suicide bombings, was in Kuwait to attend the fourth annual meeting of the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO), the Islam Times reported.
Kuwaiti MP Abdullah al-Tamimi criticized IICO Chairman Abdullah Al-Maatouqand and called for the expulsion of several of the people invited to the meeting, including Qaradawi, for what he called their lack of neutrality on Islam.
“Qaradawi attacked Persian Gulf leaders and accused them of having financed the killing of Egyptians,” he noted.
Another MP, Riad Adsani, said, “Qaradawi has glorified Saddam Hussein, who occupied Kuwait and was responsible for the death of our faithful martyrs,” suggesting he should therefore not be allowed in Kuwait.
Qaradawi has faced much criticism and a political backlash in recent months, especially from Persian Gulf countries, since he openly criticized Saudi Arabia and called for the release of the ousted Muslim Brotherhood Egypt's President Mohammad Mursi.

1. Kuwait made the right decision. Qardawi is a troublemaker is slightly aged and out of touch, but still carries respect - amongst some (not me) - for his supposed knowledge.

2. Kuwait is under half Shia maybe 1/3 or 40% Shia and the country does not want to suffer the same Shia-Sunni conflicts which exist in other Arab states in the region:

- Bahrain
- Iraq
- Syria


3. Kuwait is an ally of Bangladesh and Bangladeshi military personnel have been involved in the training of Kuwaiti soldiers.

I support the decision of the Kuwaiti government in expelling this troublemaker from their country.

Qardawi is also a supporter of Jamaat e Islami in Bangladesh which is notorious for its involvement in rapes and massacres against Muslim Bengalis in the 1971 war.

Some comments on this ignorant hate-monger.

1. At 1.53 mins he claims the Bangladeshi government (who I do not support for various reasons but are the victims of excessive propaganda) wants to seclude Bangladeshis from their religion due to being far away from the Arab world.

a: One does not have to be near Arabs to be a Muslim.

b: Being Muslim has nothing to do with being an Arab. In fact Allah ta'ala has critized the 'A'rab (Bedouins) in the holy Quran.

2. From 2.56 mins the controversial speaker starts supporting Ghulam Azam, a convicted war criminal and former leader of Jamaat e Islami.

Azam is a war criminal, who fought against the independence of Bangladesh, was involved in massacres and brothels where Muslim Bengali women were kept as prostitutes and sex slaves for Pakistani soldiers.

He mentions Ghulam Azam's age (almost 90), Azam has lived a long life far longer than many of his victims and it is a testament to the restraint that Bangladeshis have exercised that no one killed him before.


3. At 4.09 the controversial and now expelled cleric praises Azam as a defender of Islam.

a: Ghulam Azam is hated by virtually all Islamic scholars in Bangladesh including Deobandis, Salafis and Sufis.

b: Ghulam Azam is hated by the vast majority of practising Muslims in Bangladesh and the nation at large.

The Jamaat e Islami with support from Pakistan provides a twisted narrative to Arabs and Gulf Arabs in particular to persuade them to adopt policies which benefit Pakistan and its supporters in relation to Bangladesh.

The rest of the video is this moron barking in complete ignorance, oblivious to any knowledge of the oppression that the West Pakistani government had perpetrated against the Muslims of east Pakistan for 23 years including:

- Complete neglect of East Pakistan when 1/2 a million people died in floods.
West Pakistani politicians did nothing and did not care for what was the majority of the country.

- Daily abuse of East Pakistani citizens and treatment of them in a humiliating way.

Qardawi, my advice to you my ignorant uninformed arrogant "friend" who revels in the adulteration of being acclaimed as a supposed scholar is this.

No you fear Allah. You fear Allah for supporting an army of war criminals who murdered Muslims, raped Muslim women, desecrated the Quran.

Qardawi begs Americans to supply rebels (he says "Suriyeen" i.e. Syrians) with weapons.

Then in the rest of the video he says why is America scared for Israel? Do they think the Syrians will fight and then after the war attack Israel?

So one hand Qardawi praises Hitler and the slaughter of Jews and on the other he says Israel has nothing to fear from militants who he supports.

Qardawi is a controversial figure.


1. Bangladesh should ban him from ever entering the country as he is anti-Semitic, anti-Jewish and anti-Bangladeshi.

2. Kuwait, Bangladesh, Egypt and others in the Muslim world should boycott any Islamic events in which he is a speaker.


We, Bangladeshis support our Kuwaiti brothers in this rightful and wise decision to expel this troublemaker and hatemonger from Kuwait.

Egypt's chief prosecutor has issued an arrest warrant for the country’s top Sunni cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, reports say.
The Qatar-based cleric is accused of inciting the killing of Egyptian security forces and meddling in the country’s affairs.
Qaradawi has been a major critic of the country’s army following the ouster of Egypt’s first democratically elected president, Mohamed Morsi, in July.

Kuwaitis, Egyptians, Bangladeshis and many others will be happy when this individual can promote his support for war criminals (Jamaat e Islami in Bangladesh and Ghulam Azam), dictators (Saddam) and call for violence against security forces (Egypt).


Kuwait, Bangladesh and Egypt should work together and request the Qatari authorities not to allow this individual to do anything to destabilize other Muslim countries.
