    America wants independent Balochistan

US has no intentions to leave Afghanistan, APC has no presentation from Fata: Rustam Shah Mohmand

    Ihsan Dawar
PESHAWAR: America is trying to establish an independent state of Balochistan so as to turn it into its own colony and keep a hold over all the corridors of energy in the region said former Ambassador of Pakistan to Afghanistan, defense analyst and expert on Pak Afghan issues, Rustam Shah Mohmand in an exclusive interview with The Frontier Post here on Sunday.

Shah further stated that America does not want stability in Pakistan and especially in the Tribal Areas of Pakistan.

Replying to query he revealed that US has no plan to leave Afghanistan bag and baggage in the year 2014 and would leave a good number of army about 10,000 US marines, up to 6,000 NATO forces with nine military bases in their occupation, fully equipped air force and even trainers .

Mohmand, 2nd from right, on another occassion.

He further explained that US wants to keep an eagles eye over China, to occupy natural resources of central Asia, put pressure on Iran and above all to keep check over the development of nuclear program of Pakistan.
About 500 Israeli personnel are permanently with US army in guise of NGOs, experts and other professions having passports of Canada, Ireland, Holland and Australia Mohmand said adding that they perform the duties of soldiers but they also keep an eye over Pakistan Atomic development.
He revealed that they are spread all over the area and even they check the air so as to know where and when the enrichment is going on.

US has hired a good number of people from all walks of life inside Pakistan. They include anchor persons, civil society members and even in some of the government departments. They have been assigned the task of spreading roamers as if US left Afghanistan, there would be a lot of bloodshed and Taliban would immediately occupy Afghanistan Mohmand added.
He also viewed that peace in Afghanistan was not related with the presence of America.

There have been more than ten thousand attacks in the current year over US and NATO forces inside Afghanistan which testify that America has never achieved its goal of establishing peace in Afghanistan Shah added.
He also said that in case America leaves Afghanistan, Taliban are not in the position to occupy cities after cities like in 1996.

They have no Tanks, no fighter jets and above all no support of the masses. What will happen after US departure, the Afghan National Army (ANA) will be dissolved itself as the runaway ratio from ANA is about 20% now while it would sore up to 50 % after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, he explained adding that there would be no way out for Afghan people to sit to gather and seek a durable solution of the issue.

While replying to the major question of the interview he acknowledged that US was behind all the killings of those who wanted to play role in establishing peace in the area. If Pakistani government or establishment doesnt want to have acquaintance of all what is happening than that is a separate thing, but it would be better for the government to take the nation into confidence and seek a solution of the insurgency.

He further asserted that it will make easy to reach on a decision when the nation is behind the government.

We have to restore the trust of the people on our institutions Shah added.

He said in October 2008, both the houses of the parliament held a close session that passed a resolution with not even a single vote against it. But in the long run there was no progress towards the proposals put forward by the parliament.

If your parliament is powerless what you can expect from the APC where those people are gathered who have no knowledge of the Tribal Areas Mohmand said while commenting on the APC holding today its meeting.
He also regretted that there was no representation of the tribal people in APC who are the real sufferers and the stack holders.

While commenting on the role of Army in the tribal areas he said the presence of America was not the reason behind the insurgency and the unrest in the tribal areas rather the presence of the Pakistani Army was the sole cause of unrest therein.

With the entry of regular army in the tribal areas, their own system was destroyed, every man became independent and as a result militancy progressed.

Withdraw all your regular forces from Fata, void the educational institutions from them and see what happens he claimed that there would be peace on that day as the militants would find none for attack.

He also made it clear that unless and until the system in the tribal areas is not restored, there can be no hope for restoration of peace and tranquility in the area.

He also suggested that once the issue is settled with the local militants, we should also have to seek a remedy for the issue of foreign militants present in the tribal areas.

Those who can go to their countries should leave and those who cannot go must provide guarantors to the local government as they would live peacefully abiding by the laws and rules of the country.

He also made it open that the government must start an infrastructure development program and return of about one and a half million of the displaced people of Fata along with compensations during the war on terror, this is the only solution of the issue, he asserted.

ISLAMABAD (APP): The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday adjourned hearing in a presidential reference seeking opinion on open balloting for the upcoming Senate elections till Thursday. A five-member …

I cannot say how true this man's claim of the USA wanting an independent Balochistan is.

However an independent Balochistan would be good news.

    1. Balochistan as a smaller administrative unit would be more efficient in using its resources for the betterment of its people.

For example Bangladesh has done far better after freedom from Pakistan.

    2. The peace as a result of independence and a stable Balochistan would create a place for investment and consequent job creation and greater economic prosperity.

    3. It would make Afghanistan feel safer and more relaxed on its south-eastern flank where there would be a more peaceful Muslim neighbour rather than the aggressive nuclear armed state of Pakistan which sponsors terrorism and extremism and is confrontational with its neighbours.

    4. Afghanistan could secure access to the sea via a friendly and neighbouring Balochistan, thus resulting in improving the Afghan economy.

As a Muslim and Bengali I would welcome an independent Balochistan wholeheartedly and make du'a for my Muslim brothers in Balochistan that they gain their freedom and then live in peace.

        1. Balochis have the support of certain Muslim countries including Afghanistan, UAE and Oman.

        2. America funds Pakistan and if America withdrew funding Pakistan would literally collapse.

        3. The previous prime minister, Gilani, spoke about organizing a referendum on independence for Balochistan.

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Sunday the government was willing to take any initiative within the constitution, including holding a referendum in Balochistan, to determine the wish of people of the province.

        4. Punjabis having nuclear weapons means nothing because they would not use it on Balochistan.

By that logic, America should not have been expelled from Somalia (Blackhawk down), Vietnam or Lebanon (1982) because they had nuclear weapons.

        5. You are correct, when you say Pashtuns of Pakistan in general believe in loyalty to Pakistan.

However Balochis have the ability to severely weaken the Punjabi-led Pakistani military and have even made the former prime minister be prepared to organize an independence referendum.

By the way if America really wants an independent Balochistan the feudal landlords of Sindh and Punjab will not oppose it as all they care about is money.

Nor would Nawaz Sharif care too much about losing Balochistan as his primary concern is money.

However it is the military that will do its utmost to keep Balochistan caged within the federation.

Free balochistan means free without the proxies and cronies of america. Thats a type of freedom America and others are against.

Very few countries in the world are totally free.

In fact even the US itself is not totally free and has to adjust its policies to suit the interests, requests or demands of others.

An independent Balochistan may not be totally free but would definitely be freer than one ruled by Pakistan.

Bangladesh for example which was used as a colony and cash cow by Pakistan, has done much better since independence.

Balochistan could be like Oman or Bahrain on the other side of the Arabian gulf i.e. a resource-rich state with low population.

yes low population is actually good.

low population + tons of resources = devolopment

also gawadar is very near to dubai... the sea makes it very easy to open up manufacture/industrialization.

also the US can't invade a country until a reason is provided to them by it's citizens. Just like how US is confused whether or not it should invade syria and it has to provide a valid reason in order to go there.

return Afghan land back to Afghanistan. And then lets take a glimpse at Pakistan. It will look like a shaved chicken.

It's nothing without these two lands. They are free. Pakistan will break. Pakistan depends on these two lands.

If you ask me. Pashtuns in pakistan are very hostile towards Afghan refugees. Which is beyond weird.

They see them as bearded hostile figures invading their region.

                        1. Balochis are a tough nation and on a personal level are more martial than Bengalis. However when Bengalis combine it is a different story.

Bengal was always a rebellious area, resistant to Mughal authority (whom we hate and still do, we respect the Pashtun/Khan leaders of Bengal such as Isa Khan and Usman Afghan Khan who fought against the Mughals) and also rebellious against the British, so much that the British banned army recruitment from Bengalis.

This quote is about the Indian Hindu Bengalis, but they are racially the same anyway.

Bengal played a major role in the Indian independence movement, in which revolutionary groups such as Anushilan Samiti and Jugantar were dominant. Bengalis also played a notable role in the Indian independence movement. Many of the early proponents of the freedom struggle, and subsequent leaders in movement were Bengalis such as Chittaranjan Das, Surendranath Banerjea, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Prafulla Chaki, Bagha Jatin, Khudiram Bose, Surya Sen, Binoy-Badal-Dinesh, Sarojini Naidu, Aurobindo Ghosh, Rashbehari Bose and many more....

Bengal was also the fostering ground for several prominent revolutionary organisations, the most notable of which was Anushilan Samiti. A large number of Bengalis were martyred in the freedom struggle and many were exiled in Cellular Jail, the much dreaded prison located in Andaman.

The point is however, as I said on a personal level and in terms of small groups Balochis are a more martial race than Bengalis and are a formidable threat to the Punjabi "Pakistan" army.

                        2. Balochis are the first to have rebelled against the Punjabi "Pakistan" army.

                        3. They have had at least 4 rebellions and are fighting still.

They are fighting against a nuclear state.

                        4. They have forced this nuclear state's (with its multi-billion dollar military) former prime minister to accept the idea of a referendum for independence.

                        5. The whole world knows about the Balochistan crisis e.g. Al-Jazeera, CNN.

The only issue is internal differences amongst Baloch and some Balochis seeming to want to try and stay within the federation.

If however there is total unity amongst Baloch then a liberation struggle against the Punjabi army can be successful.

East Timor which is tiny gained its freedom from Indonesia which has a population of 200 million due to western pressure, Balochis can defeat the Punjabi army.

I make du'a for a free, peaceful and prosperous Balochistan.

I have more confidence and belief in Baloch independence than I do in Pashtun independence as Pashtuns - due to greater religousity and belief it is a religious obligation to be federated with other Muslims and not separate - believe in loyalty to the Pakistani state (albeit with many understanding Pakistan is Punjabi-dominated).

If someone asked me what is more likely to happen an independent Balochistan or an independent Pashtun state/greater Afghanistan, I will definitely say an independent Balochistan.

Once Balochistan leaves, then it is highly likely Sindh will leave and then Pakistan will end just like Yugoslavia and the USSR.

Pakistan's lifespan will have been shorter than the Coca Cola company which precedes it by a few decades and which will probably outlive it.

Baloch people are in fact "martial race". They are gorilla fighters like their kurdish counterparts. I will explian later about their origin of their "martial race" being exact similar with the kurds. In fact, the kurdish women have also picked up ak 47s and are inhabiting mountains to fight against their reform. They are gorilla fighers. There is history to do with this and it will take time.

Also there are many battles which Paki soldiers/army against the Baloch (taliban-like) mountain fighters, where upon days and months of fighting the Pakistani army rose the Qu'ran and ordered the Baloch fighters to step down the mountain. Which they did (because of the Qur'an). And were arrested afterwards and shot and killed. There are many military clashes which took place and still is To the date. The Baloch just won't back down. I dont know what will happen but a good thing about Balochistan is "mountains". The Baloch people fight in the mountains and its harder to fight someone who's playground is the mountain.

It will happen, but it will take time. My mom met an Indian muslim woman here in Canada and she strangely told her that "Balochistan will be free" and that it will happen absolutely. She said this without any fear of the Daal-khar Islamic state. She said she knew about Baloch struggle and she stands up for Balochs. Even though she was a muslim and fully covered herself with a hijab, but was an indian, she knew about daalkhoristan and their panjabi agenda.

Bangladesh is far more better. I am so proud that you guys are free. Imagine if you guys were still with Porkistan. You wouldn't be this successful. You would have to take permission from your panjabi elite to make ports/trades/manufacturism. I can safely say that Bangladesh wouldn't be THIS SUCCESSFUL if they hadn't gotten independence.

Imagine if you guys were still with Pakistan.
