  • Child Suicide Bombers a Travesty in Pashtunland

I don't know what to think; on one hand the way Vice presents some of its stories seem so sensationalized; This story itself seems sort of "navigated". Child suicide bombings is clearly a real thing done by the Taliban; there's no way all of it is made up.

I honestly just don't know what to think; is it really all propaganda as the Taliban supporters on this forum say? Just a fabrication to malign resistance or is this just an excuse by cowards to defend their despicable and corrupt organiztaion

There are some groups all across Afghanistan who do use children for all sorts of purposes. However, as far as I know, the general policy of Taliban is to use grown up people only.

But then again, there are so many policies the Taliban have, yet it has been confirmed by reliable sources on several occasions where their operatives have acted against those policies.

One thing we should bare in mind is, the Taliban have an inexhaustible pool of volunteers for martyrdom operations. In fact, a friend of mine who traveled to Nangarhar few years ago talked to young men who said they are on the waiting list of "fidayi" for the past 2 years.

One wonders why the Taliban would be so desperate to brainwash minors for doing this when they have already a waiting list longer than that of healthcare institutions in Europe.

Maybe it is because children are not suspected for being a bomber, and adults are and therefore they lure minors to do this?

Or maybe this is all just a big propaganda operation by the Americans who are trying to depict their enemies as evil?

After all, studying the American foreign policy in latin america, Indochina etc shows us how evil and corrupt the American way of waging wars can be.

If your friend confirms the waiting list in Nangahar then it is a reality. I have seen with my won eyes children ready for suicide attacks. This is all the product of religious extremism and bigotry.

Tableeghi Jumaat is also indirectly responsible for this state of affairs who brainwashes youngsters that this world is an illusion and the hereafter is the only reality.

I thought you considered Tableeghis to be moderate?

Memebrs are requested to add further their knowledge of these groups and to give their worthy comments.

Being moderate is one thing and indirectly promoting extremism, puritanism, other worldliness, terrorism is another thing. They are moderate in their apparent modus operanadi but their struggle ends up in Taliban.
            You missed my this thread

Conversing the truth, lies and intelligence pertaining to the assessment of the Pashtun population across the Durrand line.

After discussions with many friends and observing my own self I have come to the conclusion that Tableeghi Jumat is the indirect cause of Extremism and terrorism amongst Pashtuns and Muslims as a whole. Tableeghi Jumat thus should be declared a promoter of Terrorism. I reached to this conclusion because
            1. Tableeghi Jumat follows the same Deobandi and Wahabi/salafi ideology and beliefs system
            2. They have a well organized system to make the people highly religious and in many cases extremists. Other similar groups do not have such a system.
            3. They use silent diplomacy of not involving in politics directly but make the people religious minded who for fulfilling their extreme ideas approach extremists like Taliban and Alqaida
            4. They in a cunning way behave to be peaceful but once after training with them the people become charged with religious bigot-ism become members of terrorists and extremists.
            5. They spread haltered for this world , only focus on Here after and consider this world to be a deception while the life after death is the only reality , thus suicide bombers are motivated and blow themselves to enter paradise as soon as possible
6.They ban music, arts, dance, cinema, tv, radio, newspapers etc , promote long beards, special dress, use of miswak and not tooth brush thus working against modernism, development and enlightenment and preaching obscurantism, fundamentalism and conservatism which all lead to extremism and terrorism.
            7. Many extremists and terrorists remain members of Tableeghi Jumaat. Following is one example

There have been reports that Nigeria’s Boko Haram is also involved in Malian subversion. Ansar Dine, intriguingly, is led by Tuareg leader Iyad Ag Ghaly, whose conversion to the Salafist cause was reportedly the consequence of proselytisation by Pakistan’s Tableeghi Jamaat.

Sad. Suicide bombing was never part of the mujahid tradition of Afghanistan.

I repeat what i told on PF several times, if these suicide bombings really take place than i would on Pashtuns behalf really interrogate where this comes from, because that means some shadow forces make a double genocide on Pashtuns.
Most people that die are locals on all sides of this conflict.
But people who want to fight invasion and bad should try to stay alive as long as possible to destroy more enemies, not to make die the youngest and strongest generation of Pashtuns ( may they be minors or adults).
Dying in a fight out of being brave and dying in every circumstance are two different and quiet opposite things!

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
