    I thought so !
[I just looked at the title : I hate looking at links most of the tme !]

I was solicited for contributions for "womens' education"
    and said NO.
I said I think Afghan women need RELIGIOUS education,

and PRACTICAL things, not education for the sake of education,
which brings no value, in my opinion.
Naturally, I heard nothing back from that party ! They
were not warlords but well-meaning Afghan exiles.
    But misplaced efforts.

Exactly! If women get degrees and stuff, they would stop taking orders from us men and we can't have that now, can we?

BTW Catya, go make me a chicken sandwich. No mayo.

        Hee hee !

I can say this, for I graduated from what is now rated ias
        America's number 1 university.
But, what good did it do me ?

I learned everything I needed when I went to Afghanistan
to help the Mujahideen against the Soviet occupation.
I learned from Pashtuns, especially, while living in
Peshawar and making trips into Afghanistan.

THAT I consider my best education ! I still look back happily to those days.

        Now, what about a non=meat sandwich ?!
Better for your health ; mayonnaise a disaster, along with butter,
so that was a good choice.
Olive Oil or other natural oil is the best.
Sprouted whole grain bread, too, of course.

Yes, I agree that life experience is much more beneficial than the "conformity factories" like schools and colleges, which are designed to mold and brainwash young people in order to prepare them to be submissive and subordinate when they work in the outside world.

Alas, we Puerto Ricans - like Afghans, are carnivores.
I would accept soy-based protein but I dislike many vegetables.
I was never a fan of mayonnaise. Olive oil is great!
Whole grain bread is good too, but not whole wheat .

That's right, what you said in the beginning paragraph.
Tragic, really, that people are forced into this system
so that their originality and creative spark is not
cultivated. Rather, it is deliberately extinguished !

As far as food, do you know exactly what SPROUTED grain bread is ?
I am not sure if it's everywhere.
It's all over California, at least, and many other states too.

The grain is not from flour but sprouted which yields abundant
nutrients one won't find elsewhere in today's denatured [and
            poisonous !] food choices.

Try it, it's really good !

Another variety of that is called Manna Bread. It is
really delicious, like a dessert, not a bread.
The Cinnamon is the best. Look into that, for a much better
            choice than any sugary confection.
This has absolutely no sugar whatsever, just
            naturally sweet sprouted grain.

There is probably some variant wherever you are.

You won't want to eat meat again after trying this -
with olive oil, of course !
