The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

the train driver was going 165 instead of 80?? 80 people are dead so being arrested is the least of his troubles. You would think one would have the decency to practice a sense of responsibility with that many people on board.

Train drivers are responsible for the wellbeing of all their passengers.
That's most likely why in the UK, train drivers get such high salaries (£40,000 pa, up to £30,000 immediately after qualifying)....that and the strong unions here.---
