they have boundaries but once in a while there are turf wars and those 30,000 murders you guys talk about are mostly gang and drug related. If your not involved in gangs or dont go to where the gangs operate, your in no danger of losing your life to gun violence but in the end its kesmat.

Basically one of my concerns with America and to any other Muslim living in the west although its not that great here in the great white north either.Originally posted by khushal View PostI think you would have more in common with americans than with Europeans reason being americans are much more conservative than Europeans are. I understand there are brothels and drug shops to get high on every corner over there and pornography is basically right on regular TV.Last edited by Kushan Prince; 07-15-2013, 01:32 AM."Revenge is a dish best served cold".

Zimmermans defense did not use the stand your ground law as the premise. The prosecution basically failed in proving their case more than anything else. They could not prove who was the aggressor in the conflict. They had no witnesses, no physical evidence. Plus you cant compare the two cases above, they are completely different.Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View PostLast edited by khushal; 07-15-2013, 01:36 AM.

the gun was touching the victims sweatshirt when the shot was made which was confirmed by physical evidence and it was during a struggle according to Zimmerman. he claims he had any other choice.Originally posted by BarakzaiAbdali View PostI have not been following this case very closely. From what I did hear of it on NPR as SiiNii noted, the problem with the prosecutions case was the combination of Florida's stand your ground law coupled to the inability to show "without a reasonable doubt" made it difficult to convict Zimmerman based on evidence.
The one thing I would have liked to ask is why a kill shot needed to be delivered? I mean how good of a shot was Zimmerman? Maybe he was not a marksman, but he was able enough to deliver a body kill shot.
In many of these cases why would folks not simply go for an incapacitating shot first if possible (i.e. take out the leg) or shoot lower away from vital organs?
I've heard of many situations in Afghanistan where one person goes for the gun in a heated argument. When tempers are high, I don't think people think of the consequences or the fact what they are doing is wrong when killing another human being.
My condolences go out to the martin family. It is always extremely difficult for any parent to bury their child.

But Martin was clearly at fault here. If he didnt act like a badmash then none of this would have occurred and he would be stil be alive. Z-Man only pulled the trigger out of self defense because Martin was throwing round house kicks and other UFC shyt.Originally posted by khushal View Postthe gun was touching the victims sweatshirt when the shot was made which was confirmed by physical evidence and it was during a struggle according to Zimmerman. he claims he had any other choice.

Since this happened in the 7/11 parking lol, where the hell was the cashier? Why wasn't he present at the scene so the court could have used as a witness?
Btw, Trayvon had got into altercation with the cops before this incident so it shows he was a badmash from day 1."Revenge is a dish best served cold".

IT DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE 711 PARKING LOT. it happened in the gated community that the Z man lived in and I think the father of the victim.Originally posted by Kushan Prince View Post@khushal

his altercation with the cops in the past does not prove he was the aggressor in this situation.

neighborhood watch is volunteer based. Its where people that live in the neighborhood get together and watch out for each other. This usually happens when a crime has occurred. They take turns patrolling their own neighborhood and are supposed to call the police when they see something they view as a potential threat.Originally posted by DaZahroJaam. View Postwho made the unfit and untrained Middle Aged fat ass man in charge of securing the community then?? If he was not trained for his position then he shouldn't have been where he was. His disqualification as a cop or whatever he was does not prove him innocent. If anything, it just clarifies how poor his judgement as the system is all together it's not even about a physical confrontation. If you have a brain in your head, it will help just as much. If he couldn't wrestle down the 17 year old, maybe he shouldn't have approached him until he had more help. At the most, the kid would have been in jail today. Not dead because he walked in a manner that the fat assed untrained middle aged police guy didn't like.
And I don't need to get in to fist fights. One dirty look is enough to get the job done.
there is no doubt about a fight ensuing but the question is who threw the first punch. If it can be proven that Z man threw the first punch, then he is guilty of murder but the prosecution could not prove that he did that because of no witnesses or physical evidence. The evidence also shows that Trayvon had no injuries except for some bruising on his knuckles and the fatal gun shot wound and Z man had a bloody nose and cuts on the back of his head which signifies that he was being beat up and also confirms that he was punched in the nose.
But this case is about are African Americans getting processed differently than White people in the criminal justice system in the country. This case was a bad example of that, there are hundreds of other cases that could prove the point of the African Americans.

he is not white, he is a Mexican. Those people are treated worse than black people in America. But that is not the point. Put aside their skin colours and think about it. He followed the teenager because of the way he was walking. He continued following him even though he was instructed not to. The 17 year old has no bruises besides the gunshot but z guy has his head smashed in three spots. He could have done that to himself in the last minute and had forgotten about the details of how a struggle supposed to look like.
Long story short, even if it was self defence, if he had kept his ass in the car and not instigated something that was not necessary, no body would be dead.
