Revivalism or Gradualization of Islamic societies cannot be considered as one unit. Various Muslim societies / countries all over the globe have had different experiences, have different local / alien cultures confronting and have undergone colonization for different periods under different colonial powers who have left their mark on local politics, culture, language and society. The rise of Islam from the ashes is real. However, it will take different routes at different location.

              1. The Message reached our shores during the life time of the Holy Prophet pbuh. Even before the Hizrat to Madinah he had sent his maternal uncle, Sahabi Abu Waqqas with a ship provided by the ruler of Yemen to convey the Message to the Arabs and semi-Arabs who had settled in our coastal region stretching into Arakan. The Sahabi stayed here for eight years. Then he left to preach in China. The famous ancient mosque in Guangdong (Canton) was established by him. The local Muslims call it the Mosque of our Ancestor. He is also buried in this city. Local Muslims call this the Mausoleum of of Our Ancestor.

              2. Unlike many lands, we had received the Message direct and unadulterated. Time or influence of local cultures have not touched Islam in BD. For instance we hardly realise that we are Sunnis, because no other sect is around. We have protected and nurtured Islam very carefully over the centuries. For instance, when Emperor Akbar was showing signs of deviating, the Pir of Jaunpur had issued a fatwa against him. We immediately revolted. Akbar had sent his best commander Gen Man Singh Who was defeated by us through a people's war.

              3. Many Muslim saints have been coming successively to our land. Shah Jalal, Khan Jahan Ali, Bayazid Bostami and Amanat Shah are few.

              4. Mass conversions of locals is a false and mischievous propaganda by Hindu and Christian writers. Brahmins and Khatryas of Hindustan had found it convenient to convert and keep their jobs in the army and government. They all maintain their family / tribal identity. For instance the Bhuttos and Zardaris are originally Hindu Rajputs. You will find Raja, Rao,Chaudhury, Dogar, Gujral, etc both among Hindu and Muslim families in SA.

              6. The low cast menial classes did not convert during the Muslim rule because they were needed to continue in their hereditary vocations. The British Christians had targeted them allowing them to continue low cast functions after conversion.

              5. The history of SA post-Babar is one of a tussle between the Mughal - Uzbeks and the Afghan-Pashtuns. The Afghans had been driven into the East where they ruled various states. The most famous of them was Sher Shah Suri, who was our Emperor and heroe.

most people in south asia are descendants of hindus, not outsiders, doesn't matter if it's Pakistan or Bangladesh. It's only some families which are descendants from outsiders, but they probably make less then 5% of the population and even they themselves have mixed to a degree. In punjab/sindh, most of these so called zaats like syeds, arians, mughals etc... were actually hindus, they just hid their identity because they were ashamed of being hindus. People have been brainwashed to think they came from Arabia, Iran, Central asia

The beautiful thing about Islam is that it doesn't matter what you or your ancestors were before accepting it. Islam isn't a bloodline or an ethnic group, its the belief in truth. A hindu who converted to islam yesterday is as muslim and equal to a believing muslim with a clear sayyid bloodline.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
