Not always Karachi - sometimes there is old wild west justice for these folks. One village I medically toured through involved dealing with a gory hip wound from a rather sharp army knife. The story was that a family with many boys in it and one particular handsome one (because he had green eyes etc), armed that youngin (the green eyed kid) to knife the man with the wound. The man was known for this sort of thing and he finally messed with the wrong clan with many men. The older brothers planned the incident during a sportsgame. When he came up to the handsome youth - the youth knife'd him high up in the thigh and dragged the knife down. The accused molester's family then threatened to start a badal conflict. In order to keep things hush hush the older brother that armed the youth spent a week in "prison" but the wounded guys family used that as a way from offering their own support... sorta like saying: yep, he got what he deserved and we know it - as long as its apparent the rest of us arent into this stuff and our honor is intact - we arent going to make a fuss of what was done to him.

I always get sick in my stomach when I hear this kind of storys.
The only punishment this men deserve is dead, and the young boys who were abused need some profesional help, so that they wouldn't turn up like the abusers.

@Barakzai, that's not dealing with a problem, really solving the problem would be if they put that montser trough trial and than publicaly hanged him. So that other peopel would know that if they do this kind of thing not only the family of the boy gona hunt you, but also the goverment, that is dealing with this problem and not using a young boy and stabing a man -_-.

Khostai I agree with you and am not advocating the badal approach since that depends on strength of clan. If it were reversed where the molester had a large family and lots of weaponry then the poor kid would not have any ability to do anything unless some other local group dealt with the issue.

I was merely point out to Karachi that its not that Pashtuns sit around trying to let it pass - they deal with the only way they know how.
