  • Pakistan Elections 2013

10 Hours to go, seems like there is going to be really tough competition in punjab between Khan and Sharif even in PMLN strongholds like lahore and pindi.

As far as KPK is concerned so far PTI going for a majority government there for sure mainly cuz the talibs havent allowed any other parties including Mullah Diesel to campaign there so lets see inshallah at last the frontier may finally have peace and reconciliation.

Balochistan, he may have sibbi for sure and who knows maybe Mengal will jump ship.

Sindh mainly in Karachi and do expect him to win there, also PML-F is a new force emerging in interior to urban Sindh.

KSE & PKR staying strong so it seems like the elections might prove fruitful, atleast the investors are upbeat with KSE breaking all previous barriers.

I'll try and keep this thread updated.

Wait, so Imran Khan is trying to kick ANP out of power?
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

ANP has no chance in this election, there performance was beyond poor and they are very secular. PTI is the only party that didn't get hit by the taliban so he is largely seen as the party that will bring peace to the province through reconciliation and that is actually very much true.

Even last time they barely managed to scrap a coalition government in KPK, and thats another thing against them..All their politicians are deep in cahoots with PPP-P and theirs is largely credited as the most corrupt government in history of Pakistan.

when are the final results announced?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Worried about Toramana... if this is all true I am worried that he might spontaneously combust.

There are reports of poll rigging in Karachi by PPP and MQM. I dont think that this will have any impact on the outcome.

I don't folow Paki politics, but I hope some really backward wahabi type of peopel will come to power who will force men to have beards who bans music and tv and who forces women to wear chadari. And not to forget public beheadings and stoning. Yeah that would be nice. Does anybody know if that kind of party is active in this elections?
