I don't think Afghanistan is the real problem. The real problem is Pakistan. I believe that the War will be decided, in the favor of Afghanistan almost certainly, in Pakistan. It should be noted that the centre of the war has been moved subliminally deep inside Pakistan, to the south of Punjab. The Pakistan state is under an existential threat. It has been exposed as a the biggest beneficiary of terrorism.

Ya This strategic deapth has destroyed Afhanistan. But in pakistan now discussions are there and ANP is highlighting it to the military that although Pkaistan has narrow back and in case of defeat they should have a depth in afghnaistan but it can never comes if the destruction goes 30 years more.
Ya Pakistan can survive only and only if there is friendly Afghanistan on the west, otherwise a weaker destabilize afghanistan is more dangerous for pakistan than stronger and stable afghnaistan. Pakistan has started realizing this and now they are looking forward how international community allow pakistan to play its role. However, Pakistan is afraid, if it was not given the proper role in afghanistan then it will support taliban and as they say always, that the people who sacrificed, should get the fruits as well, mean taliban in kabul. However, Pakistan id also thinking, if Taliban are in Kabul, then what will happen to the terroirst organization who are fighting against Pakistan. Will they stop? Some of the people think, yes they will stop, but others are afraid, they will be encouraged and they can destablize pakistan and can pave the way for direct attack of international community on pakistan as it is always worried about atomic weapons. To save the atmoic weapons then it will throw pakistan into a vicious war, which can be dangerous for pakistan survival.
In all this situation, Pakistan has one chance, to have strategic depth in Afghanistan from Afghans, not from any group, himatyar or taliban or any one else, in order to support any governemnt in afghanistan. Then Pakistan can survive 100%, otherwise, survival chances are 50/50 and then will be on the mercy of terrorists, if they are kind enough to leave to fight or to struggle for a parallel islamic emirates there as well, having a common ameerulmoomeneen.
