SLAMABAD: At least 18 people including policemen and minors were killed and 56 more wounded in a suicide bomb blast that tore through an Awami National Party (ANP) corner meeting, Pakistan's Geo News reported.
Reportedly, the moderate intensity blast struck when at least 200-300 ANP workers as well as leaders were attending a public meeting in Yakatoot area of Peshawar.

Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for what was the fourth deadly attack on politicians or political parties in three days as the country prepares to hold historic polls on May 11.

CCPO Peshawar, Liaquat Ali said it was a suicide attack. The AIG Bomb Disposal Unit, Shafqat Malik even claimed the police had found the limbs and some other parts of a bomber's blast-torn body.

"A suicide bomber, who was standing among the workers waiting outside the meeting venue to welcome the leaders, jumped in front of Bilours car and blew himself up", said the CCPO.

Another official said about six kilograms of explosives along with splinters and ball bearings were used in the bombing.

Many vehicles parked nearby caught fire after the blast. Live footage showed columns of smoke billowing from the site with blood splattered all over the place. (QNA)

Can you help me understand why ANP leaders are being targetted? Are they targetted by the Punjab establishment because they did not fall into the trap the Punjab Govt laid for them to arm local pakhtuns into fighting talib pakhtuns and instead they had the Punjab Army do it? Or are the Talibs targetting them for allowing the Punjab establishment/Army to take action on them?

^ Why is ANP targetted? It's very clear because of their strong stand against the militants. And 5 years were too less for them to change the law and order situation.

During my last few visits to Pekhawar what the ANP should have changed in the security plan of the city of Pekhawar is that a tight security at the entrance of the city and loose one inside. If you go there you feel like they are just securing some specific places and buildings.

This is what i have been asking the Anp member that OK now u have security and and everything but when your govt will end up then how willyou protect yourself. And thats what happening to them now...

Let's agree they didn't deliver all that was expected from them. Their policies failed. But to say that they didn't do anything is totally wrong. What they did for Pakhtuns? Look at the Education Sector of KPK before and after ANP?

And you asked they gave a hand to Punjabi Establishment? For what?

Masharan wai de bazey khalqo la ba jawab hmm na warkay bya tre zaan wrakegee.....Mara everybody knows whatever he is uttering about ANP is just bakwas he must have some personal issues. May be his Tarbur is in ANP.
