i too agree with some points here....
when the Malegaon blast case was beinglooked into by Karkare and he was about to produce proof against Sanghvi and others who were accused of plotting the blast... the next immediate thing happened was the Terrorist attack in November 2008...inwhich Karkare was killed and hence forth there is not much mention of the case and i suppose Sanghvi was released on bail......... every time this happens when something is being proved the oppositions come up with some greater thing and the attention of people are diverted towards a larger thing happening.........
and my Friends here... not all Indians even though Hindus are bad and like RSS.. there are many and many good people toooo.. like Karkare... but people like him dont live long... cause they wont be allowed to live....
KhalsaWarrior... no matter however Muslims are devoted towards India like i too am ... they are still being suppressed.....
you come to India once a Year... i have lived my entire life in India....

Technically, Taliban is NOT a Pashto word. To clarify, let's be clear about the etymology - it is a loan word from Arabic that has now become a part of not just Pashto, but the lexis of every major language on the planet.Originally posted by unhiddentruthKhalsa,
Do they actually call themselves TALIBAN which is a Pashto word?
In Arabic grammar Taliban is what they call a double plural. I don't know if this grammar form is particular to other languages, but double plurals do occur in Arabic. Here's what I mean.
1 Talib - 1 student
2 Taliban - 2 students
> 2 Tullaab - more than 2 students
Taliban actually means 2 students and 2 students only. To think that a word like this could become warped and come to represent something completely different. Just noting the irony of how language changes.

I am really worried for the people here in this forum. Muslim brotherhood is just a bakwas. We pashtun protest for palestine each and every day. Then now in kashmir and we are very much angry what is happening there. yes, against human rights. But if any kashmiri of any side of the LOC, thought a while for the miseries of Pashtuns, no way. What is happening with pashtuns, no one cares, but we care for the whole world, this is our main problem.
Last year when we have had 3.5 million internal pashtun refugees in pakistan, then our brother and holly saudia arabia, sent an aeroplane with tents, and our another brother country egypt sent an aeroplane with medicine, then was enough.
I never heard a single minister or a person from the whole of arabia condemning the terrorism in pashtun region.
We are the one protesting, fighting, and talking for the wole world.
Just come and discuss our own home and for me firts stands pashtuns, and then kashmir, if Pashtuns are burning in fire, then kashmir or palestine have no meanings for me.
Oh Pashtuns just come first think abour our own.
What India is doing there, kashmiris and india should deal the issue.

My visits have become annual in recent years but I was born and brought up in India.Originally posted by spogmai shaglay View Posti too agree with some points here....

I sense a conspiracy theory angle to your views on Karkare. And though you are an Indian how did you get the name of the main accused in Malegaon blasts wrong? Its Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, not Sanghvi. Sanghvi is a Gujrati surname while Sadhvi is an honorific title. Somebody who has lived his entire life in India and is aware of the current events wont make this mistake.
Now as to you assertions that Muslims are suppressed in India, I will disagree with that. Its not easy to suppress 150 million people. True, recent years have given rise to militant Hindu right wing nationalism but the overwhelming majority of people in India are secular. Being a Muslim in India is not a disadvantage.

I am worried that some people are derailing the pashtuns and diverting their attentions to the issue irrelevant to pashtuns.
Ya I am Muslim my brother, but I am not responsible for the whole muslim world.
Did kashmiris accepted me as the muslim world leader? Did palestinian accept me as a muslim at all?
What arabs are doing with our muslim workers in their countries, and then to protest for such imeperialists, no way.
Brotherhood should mean brotherhood and no way one sided.

Yes the case is still on. And I hope justice is delivered. I will give credit to the police that despite some political resistance, they still went ahead and arrested the Sadhvi.Originally posted by spogmai shaglay View Postyou got the name correct of the main accussed in the Malegaon Blast... i accept it was mistake in mentioning the name... but you know who i am referringtoooo.. you didnt reply on this as to what happened to Sanghvi case... isitstill goingon.... bro its easy to just talk and what one feels.......we have personally experienced it hence i mentioned here about the issue of muslims being suppressed.......can u tell me as to why we are called to the crime branch for verification to get a passport andno other community is called (only Pakhtuns are called).... people with beard are seen with suspicion at many places....latest case when a gentleman with beard who just around Isreal was caught andnow when everything got cleared that gentleman is asking for a public apology.... even sikhs have beard....

About victimization, yes its true, many a times innocents are made to go through undue harassment by overzealous authorities. But again I wont call it suppression. You have to understand the situation that people in India are in. Many seemingly educated people have been known to have terrorist links. Most SIMI activists are students and so are members of the Indian Mujahideen. Do you remember the case of the Yahoo software engineer who was also arrested for terrorist links. That guy was drawing an annual salary of INR 15 lakhs. Well educated and with a good job. The point I am trying to make here is that the authorities hardly have a clue or inkling about who can be a terrorist or not, so they try and put extra-scrutiny on people who could have terrorist links. Kind of profiling.
At the same time I know how an innocent person would feel if he is unduly harassed. I have had relatives who were harassed and even tortured because their cousins were Khalistani militants. They couldnt get a passport or a govt job. Finally they had to escape to Canada via illegal means.
And I certainly wish to continue this discussion my friend. I would love to hear more of your views.
