MINGORA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Sunday said that it was a matter a few weeks before the PTI would form the government in the country.

He claimed that the PTI had the solution to terrorism and extremism. Imran said that sustainable peace could not be restored in Swat despite the fact that its residents rendered matchless sacrifices.

“PTI will form the next government after securing victory in the upcoming polls,” he said while addressing a public gathering at the Grassy Ground here.PTI Central General Secretary Pervez Khattak, Provincial Vice-President Fazal Hakim, District President Dr Amjad, General Secretary Mohammad Zeb Khan and others also spoke on the occasion.

Imran said he didn’t believe in telling lies and would not make any false promise. He said if voted to power, the PTI would restore the primitive justice system in Swat - the one which was in vogue in the valley before merger of the princely state with Pakistan.

The PTI chief said he would not renege on his election pledges, and assured the gathering that his party would not let the people down. He said there was no military solution to terrorism issue rather a political settlement of the issue was required. “The PTI will establish lasting peace in Swat and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata),” he declared.

The PTI leader said he had warned against joining the war against terrorism. “It is not our war. It is America’s war,” he stressed.Imran said his party was awarding tickets to candidates for the upcoming general elections on merit. “Let me make it clear that we have given tickets to honest people and the traditional politicians cannot defeat our candidates,” he maintained.

He said other parties were doing dynastic politics where a son succeeded his father to become a leader. “It is the PTI, which held the intra-party elections and gave the chance to sincere and ideological party workers to run the affairs of the party,” he recalled.

“The PTI belongs to the poor people as it gave 25 percent of the tickets to the youth to contest the next election,” he said and added that the future belonged to the PTI and it would steer the country out of the prevailing crisis.

Imran believed all the political parties combined couldn’t defeat the PTI in the May 11 general elections. He said the opportunist politicians had robbed Pakistan of its assets and defamed the country in the comity of nations.

“We will create a new Pakistan, a dignified and a prosperous one. The PTI will reduce the gap between the rich and the poor if voted to power,” he promised.

There is no tax on dreams :P

Though I'm a voter and supporter of Imran Khan but this is something nearly impossible keeping the current political scenario in mind.

Imran khan thinks he is running a one man show. how could his government be diffirent from the others as he surrounded himself by corrupted ex-members of other parties.

I am not a Pakistani citizen nor from pakhtunkhwa but I hope Imran Khan wins, not because he is apashtun but because I feel his policies provide the best hope for the people of Pakistan. Just hope he stands by his promises he has made before the election. My heart says he can win but head says its impossible on a corrupt country such as Pakistan. If elections don't work for him because of corruption, he should start a revulution to bring down the system and start fresh.

Remember the prophecy of the end times...
"The worst of you will be your leaders"

People like Imran Khan and Bashardost will win the hearts but they can never become the leaders, as to become a leader you must be corrupt, liar and unfearful of God.
