      Ad-Hominem fallacy.

      Description of Ad Hominem

Translated from Latin to English, "Ad Hominem" means "against the man" or "against the person."

An Ad Hominem is a general category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument. Typically, this fallacy involves two steps. First, an attack against the character of person making the claim, her circumstances, or her actions is made (or the character, circumstances, or actions of the person reporting the claim). Second, this attack is taken to be evidence against the claim or argument the person in question is making (or presenting). This type of "argument" has the following form:

      Person A makes claim X.
Person B makes an attack on person A.
      Therefore A's claim is false.

your refutation is logically false; therefore the sources have not been shown to lack credibility.

We dont really know what Judanath Sarkar is saying, we are only shown bits and pieces. This is called quote mining, its a strategy only to quote certain parts to make RTR seem he is right. He is leaving out the evidence which would doubt his accusations.
I have not read this book but it seems the author is saying that marathas newletter were reporting such things. There is no such confirmation of such things happening by primary sources. That is why the best he could do is show a book that has bits and pieces otherwise there would have been other sources confirming such things. He cant find it.

His inability to win arguments have transformed him into a mentally ill fool.

Untrue ....that's all I could get from the preview available; If I had the books I'd copy them, but regardless I showed where I got the evidence, so that is sufficient.

But the quote mining would only be true if I was deliberately leaving out the other parts of the quotes.

You made the claim, the burden of proof is on you.

Dont attack the author because of his affiliation with a certain religion or group. Question the evidence that the author is presenting. WE dont really know what the author is presenting because its in bits and pieces. For all we know he could be saying he had a dream about such things happening. WE need to see all of what the author is saying and what evidence he is presenting to back up such things. Without evidence, what he says is meaningless.

See you're interpolating, where does it indicate it's from a Maratha newsletter? They didn't have "newsletters" back then.

Ok that's a fair criticism; but I presented sources, so this is sufficient for now. I didn't just pull them out of the air.

So if you have access to the original source itself, which I don't sadly, please post the full page, a scanned copy would suffice.. However I think this is legitimate and that they do use primary sources because ALL secondary sources seem to be saying the same things.
