knives were not used in this situation.

energymass things had to do with you misleading. getting something from nothing is misleading. This is against the laws of physics and you were telling afghansitan2010 "not according to the laws of physics"

No **** sherlock, but we're talking about things which can be used as weapons, since it's comparing weapons to weapons, this is why using the school scenario would not apply, because its a location, and here is why the analogy fails; if we spoke of place, the place is a subset of the city they're in which is a subset of the state which is a subset of the country etc etc etc. That would easily lose coherency on grounds of irrelevance.

do you know what faulty analogy is? You're doing it right now.

No the energy from mass thing has to do with the fact that as usual, you haven't a damn clue about ANY topic you speak of. And when I was calling you out by asking you to explain that using its mathematical representation, you chickened out and conceded.

you can only use the variable in the situation. You are introducing new variables. A person with a mathemtical background should know this better than anyone else. One can argue that you cant kill as many people with knives as with guns.

There was no chickening out. I understood it after watching the video. It was misleading by the topics headline and the agenda was to boost atheist view that it is possible to get somethign from nothing when in reality that is not what Haqkings is saying so that was you manipulating the situation and I caught you on it and you even admitted that it was to rouse certain individuals.

That has nothing to do with analogies, analogies compare like variables, you're not comparing a congruent variable.

Look here this is what an analogy is. ....I can't believe you're this retarded

I've never seen someone who's so wrong about everything. How is that possible? Most people get partial credit.

can we see some proof of your faulty assumptions?

amazing that when americans murder groups of children outside of america, we hear extremely little about it.

Guns are not the problem. Guns have saved the lives of people in the US, look here at the video footage:

All three evening newscasts on Tuesday and two out of the three morning shows on Wednesday skipped the dramatic story of an elderly Florida man who saved a cafe full of people from gun-wielding robbers. Only Good Morning America covered the story of seventy-one-year-old Samuel Williams using his own weapon to fend off attackers. News reader Josh Elliot lauded the "gun-toting senior citizen" for his quick action and for "not taking it anymore." Co-host George Stephanopoulos narrated the video: "There he is right there. Takes them on. Saves the whole cafe." Elliott praised it as "remarkable." He misleadingly described, "Williams does have a gun license and is not expected to be charged." [See video below. MP3 audio here.]

You don't blame a knife, or a gun, you blame the operator behind it, which we should all condemn. Even if we adhere to the emotions, and ban guns, I can guaranty you these crimes won't be decreased. People will find different methods to commit the same acts. Don't believe me? Grab a history book and look at what people did prior to the advent of guns.

This is not the time for a gun debate, people are suffering right now.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I know that you bafoon. you cant compare a gun with a knife. A person with a knife cant kill that many people.

but it was you who chicken out once I made it aware that Hawkings was not really saying what you were propagating to rouse up certain individuals.

That's not necessarily true; for example in Vietnam many commandos murdered Vietnamese villagers with knives/sharp objects, iin numbers that put this guy to shame. So it CAN be done.

likewise if this guy was a lousy shot he wouldn't have killed many people, if anyone.

Your inability to reason properly is really sad....do you have a learning disability?

That's a false assumption; a Person can kill as many or even more people than a gun; look at some of the stories of Vietnam atrocities.

and also we're not comparing numbers here, but the fact weapons kill ....the variable isn't the number.

please stop ....you're humiliating yourself here. And KRAUSS covered that issue that you were saying was "misleading" so, NO misrepresentation at all, You clearly did not watch the video in full

I dunno. Bruce Lee in his famous exposition on JKD wrote about fighting people with guns and knives. He said that he had no fear of fighting someone with a knife. Its been a while since I read his text but he says something to the effect that a person using a knife may be off balance if not properly trained because their whole impetus and focus is on the knife they are using. He also indicated that switchblade is far shorter than a sword and sword length in the old world was correlated to its efficacy as a killing weapon. In the next section on guns he is very brief and says something to the effect of: I wont lie to you and tell you I can defeat someone with a gun; I'd just start running in zig zag patterns to get away as fast as possible.

But IT still CAN be done Khushal said it can't kill as many people as this guy did. If this guy was better trained he COULD do it, especially little kids
