There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Guns are not that easy to get in NY, it's actually pretty hard. A gun charge carries a 3.5 year mandatory prison sentence. Weed on the other hand, I could get you a bag or oz's in 5 minutes if you wantOriginally posted by randolph85 View Postguns are like weed, ****s easy to get if you really want it.
easier to get than cigarettes.

There is a more pervasive and insidious change happening to the psyche of people that needs serious exploration; such cases in US, the school children killing in Germany. Although CNN reported this morning, 'second serious event in American history', AlJazeera reeled off over half dozen guns in schools incidences during last decade in the US.
Gun law argument applies to other states where this law is not stringent as in connecticut, issue is how the guns became accessible (from locked gun safe), and more generally, what is happening to the these young people from countries that offer ideals (such as rights, freedom, democracy, health, education, welfare) and offers protection (from hunger, calamity and injustice), what is driving these individuals to execute such actions, in numbers that should be statistical freaks, obviously not, these events are becoming more frequent.
I begin with tenuous concept of moral decay amongst those lucky enough to be idulging in the perceived good life in nations with developement, organisation, institutions that foster development of nation and people, . . . . an moral decay, apathy etc due to the fact individuals are no longer struggling to survive, instead wallowing in relative indulgence and excess.Last edited by torkham; 12-15-2012, 05:42 AM.

Continued . . . . .
Oh yeah, and while they wallow in excess, there is boredom, there is an industry that simulates the pleasure young boys gain from their primal urge of fighting, these boys then vigorously stimulate themselves over martial simulation games, some times in groups . . . . . and . . . . the weak ones, the qurbans, the ones who make up the freak stats, unable to disconnect virtual from real let it all out.Last edited by torkham; 12-15-2012, 03:59 AM.

Your a complete idiot. Human beings need guidance no matter how smart the person thinks he/she is because the stupid like yourself think they know everything and the truly wise know they know nothing. All People are empty inside and they need something to fill that emptiness, people are looking for truth. You dont have to be a "muslim" to need sympathy, mercy, sincerity, peace. All humans want this. All humans need morals to survive.Originally posted by DaZahroJaam. View Postyou have a serious problem khushal and its starting to aggravate me on a whole lot of a different level. You can't differentiate between a problem and a solution. Leave the matter of who does or who doesn't have imaan/faith for God to decide. Until then, we need a practical solution and that would be for gun laws to be changed in America or everywhere else where a random citizen is allowed to decorate his house with forearms. Just because we can't turn everyone a Muslim overnight doesn't mean we shouldn't have a different solution for problems like this.
Everything is not always about your desire for world domination through religious manipulation. Instead of using every single opportunity to rub people's faces in the lack of their faith in your God, show some concern and remorse for them and watch them come to you on their own with the desire for wanting to know about it.
There is a time and place for everything.
There is no such thing as your God or my God. To think in this way shows selfishness. God belongs to everyone. Always be appreciative to what God has given you and if you understand this concept, you will never be empty inside because your heart will be full.
This society has forgotten the roots of it all and they rely on modern psychology and anti depressant drugs. They have taken what really matters out of the equation because what really matters is simple and free and modern psychology and anti depressant drugs are not.
Those that think the problem is guns dont realize that guns have existed long before and in more abundance in the past than today and this is a new phenomena.

Family and friends remember Adam Lanza as many things -- intelligent, nerdy, goth, remote, thin.
Now the world will always remember him as a mass murderer. The 20-year-old man is believed to have killed his mother, gunned down more than two dozen people, 20 of them children, at a Connecticut grade school and committed suicide.
He might have suffered from a personality disorder, law enforcement officials said.
So far, authorities have not spoken publicly of any possible motive. They found no note or manifesto, and Lanza had no criminal history. Witnesses said the shooter didn't utter a word.
Adam Lanza attended Newtown High School, and news clippings from recent years show him on the honor roll. Joshua Milas, a classmate who was in the technology club with Lanza, said that he was generally a happy person but that he hadn't seen him in a few years.
"We would hang out, and he was a good kid. He was smart," said Milas, who graduated in 2009. "He was probably one of the smartest kids I know. He was probably a genius."
The tech club held "LAN parties" -- short for local area network -- in which students would gather at a member's home, hook up their computers into a small network and play games. Gloria Milas, Joshua's mother, hosted one of the parties once.
She recalled a school meeting in 2008 organized by the gunman's mother to try to save the job of the club's adviser. At the meeting, Milas said, Adam Lanza's brother Ryan said a few words in support of the adviser, who he said had taken his brother under his wing.
"My brother has always been a nerd," Ryan Lanza said then, according to Milas. "He still wears a pocket protector."
Catherine Urso, who attended a vigil Friday evening in Newtown, Conn., said her college-age son knew the killer and remembered him for his alternative style.
"He just said he was very thin, very remote and was one of the goths," referring to a style of dress noted for a heavily black wardrobe.
Authorities say Adam Lanza shot his mother at their home before driving her car to Sandy Hook Elementary School and -- armed with at least two handguns -- carried out the massacre, officials said.
A third weapon, a .223-caliber rifle, was found in the car, and more guns were recovered during the investigation.
Investigators were trying to learn as much as possible about Lanza and questioned his brother, who is not believed to have any involvement in the rampage.
Ryan Lanza, now 24 and living in Hoboken, N.J., was being questioned, a law enforcement official said. He told authorities that his brother was believed to suffer from a personality disorder, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the record about the unfolding investigation.
The official did not elaborate, and it was unclear exactly what type of disorder Adam Lanza might have had.
Ryan Lanza had been cooperative and was not under arrest or in custody, but investigators were still searching his computers and phone records. The brother told law enforcement he had not been in touch with Adam since about 2010.
Adam Lanza and his mother, Nancy, lived in a well-to-do part of Newtown, a prosperous community of 27,000 people about 60 miles northeast of New York City.
Lanza's parents filed for divorce in 2008, according to court records. His father, Peter Lanza, lives in Stamford, Conn., according to public records, and he reportedly works as a tax director for General Electric.
Lanza's aunt Marsha Lanza, of Crystal Lake, Ill., said her nephew was raised by kind, nurturing parents who would not have hesitated to seek mental help for him if he needed it.
If her son had needed counseling, "Nancy wasn't one to deny reality," she said Friday. Marsha Lanza said her husband had seen Adam as recently as June and recalled nothing out of the ordinary.
Lanza said she was close with Nancy Lanza and had sent her a Facebook message Friday morning asking how she was doing. Nancy Lanza never responded.
Nancy Lanza's mother was too distraught to speak when reached by phone at her home in Brooksville, Fla.
"I just don't know, and I can't make a comment right now," Dorothy Hanson, 78, said in a shaky voice as she started to cry. She said she hadn't heard anything official about her daughter and grandsons. She declined to comment further and hung up.
A law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity said investigators believe Adam Lanza attended Sandy Hook school several years ago but appeared to have no recent connection to the place.
At least one parent said Adam Lanza's mother was a substitute teacher there. But her name did not appear on a staff list. And the law enforcement official said investigators were unable to establish any connection so far between her and the school.
An official who spoke on condition of anonymity said it was not clear that Adam Lanza had a job, and there was no indication of law enforcement interviews or search warrants at a place of business.

I 100% disagree that gun laws are the solution to problem with guns. OUTLAWING things makes things MORE accessible because weapoons start becoming a BIG underground crime business and they will start being sold UNREGULATED by people who want them. That;'s the worse type of solution.
The problem here isn't the gun, but the person pulling the trigger, with the money that would be used to enforce gun laws, do something about the Mental Health awareness ...then you may see less of these shootings.
In an attempt to find solutions; the problem should be addressed at its root right?
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
As long as the problem is not addressed at its roots, measures e.g. gun-control should be taken to mitigate the consequences of the disease. Besides, no civil society can allow its members to stock-file large quantities of dangerous weapons at homes. Also, you cannot predict when does a nervous breakdown occur or a civil unrest is caused.

such measures won't work ....trust me , banning stuff makes stuff worse and even "tightening" gun control won't work ..you're just creating a bigger market for criminal underground.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
