Bomb Blast in Crowded Dada Darbar (Shrine), Lahore
But I will be fair now, What about the radical Hindus who slaughter christians and muslims?
I am sure you Indians have your own terrorists to deal with? am i right?
Both India and Pakistan are a threat to Pashtuns.
Due to you guys competeing with eachother all the time, Pashtuns are lacking alot.
At the end of the day, If Pakistans dismantles, I know for a fact you Indians will welcome your fellow Sindhis and Punjabis very warmly while again Pashtuns will be attacked and seen as a threat.
I wish the Al mightly Allah placed the Pashtun people in the middle of siberia and china, away from these fighting Indics.
1 bomber identified :- 20yr old Rafiq alias Usman, from a village in Lahore precinct itself. Unbelievable Punjabi Suicide Bombers ! and that too striking their own city !

It is not the matter, if taliban or someone else was blammed or denied etc. The problem is, why it happened?
Shahbaz sharif the best ruler in Pakistan (as he thinks) failed to stop, why?
The recent militancy is not the reason why this violence occurs. But because the people are becoming militant, access to explosives and weapons are becoming more widespread. As a result, people conduct such operations which do not benefit anything.
This problem was becoming more widespread in Afghanistan in recent years. Armed men would kidnap and behead people, or mutilate people. As a consequence, Mullah Omar issued the new code of conduct to restrain the militants in Afghanistan.
Pakistan has too many different groups and no coordinated hierarchy or chain of command.
There is no central policy to control the actions of various militant groups.
As a result, all these small militant groups across Pakistan frequently use terrorism.
But a great number of attacks targeting civilians are conducted by American PsyOps. They try to influence the public.
But as always, such operations usually backfire. Just like the bombing in Mina Market in Peshawar backfired. It became clear that that attack was the work of the Americans.
I wont be surprised to find out in the near future that the bombing of this Sufi shrine is also the work of American PsyOps.
No one in Pakistan can tolerate a policy of accommodating jihadis, or keep them as backroom allies in the mistaken belief that this is the best way of containing them.

Article history
It is a bit late in the day to be talking about wake-up calls in Pakistan, because after 18 months of bomb outrages that have targeted the Sri Lankan cricket team, intelligence and police officers, busy market places, and now fellow Muslims, the same policies are still in place: the distinction between "good" and "bad" jihadi groups; the official tolerance of hardline madrasas which give shelter to them; and the ambivalence of local political leaders to those groups.
Take Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab's chief minister and the brother of the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Shahbaz assured Lahore yesterday that the people behind the latest attack on a Sufi shrine, which killed 42 and injured 175, would never be allowed to escape. Really? This is the same chief minister who in March called on the Taliban not to attack Punjab because his party shared some of their ideas (he said later that his remarks were taken out of context). This is the same provincial government whose law minister, Rana Sanaullah, campaigned at a byelection alongside a leader of a banned sectarian organisation that attacks minority Shias; and it is the same administration which gave £650,000 to Jamaat-ud-Dawa, a charity the UN put on its terrorism watchlist after the Mumbai attacks.
The attack on the Data Ganj Baksh shrine in central Lahore was the second assault against a religious group in just over a month, after the Ahmadi sect was targeted in late May, when 94 people were killed. Popular reaction yesterday blamed America for stirring up the jihadis with drone attacks in the tribal belt. But suicide attacks against Sufis have more to do with the sheer intolerance which the Wahhabi and Deobandi sects have for expressions of Islam they consider heretical. These puritans have found willing agents in the emergence of so-called "Punjabi Taliban" who co-ordinate their attacks with their counterparts in Waziristan and are formed from the same groups that Pakistan's army cultivated in the 1990s to attack Indian troops in Kashmir. Thursday night's attack was the second on Sufis, and will enrage ordinary Pakistanis, the majority of whom identify with that tradition of Islam.
No one in Pakistan, let alone Nawaz Sharif, who hopes one day to return to national power, can tolerate a policy of accommodating jihadis, or keep them as backroom allies in the mistaken belief that this is the best way of containing them. After the last two attacks, his brother Shahbaz cannot claim to have the situation under control in the Punjab. It is not and it needs a concerted police and intelligence operation (the army, too, needs to get off the fence) against all jihadis to settle the point of who runs the country's most populous province.
Thanks muhsina for the useful insight. You have raised an important issue.
Certainly, the current miserable situation is the result of religious fundamentalism being thrust upon us by the so-called champions of Islam who got successful in sowing the seeds of hatred, fundamentalism, and narrow-mindedness in our youth. In sum, it has taken away the very power of reasoning and logic, or in much simpler terms--THINKING--from our present and future generation.
I am aware of the particular breed of pseudo-intellectuals that you have pointed out below. These are the serpents in disguise who are more dangerous than the mullahs as they create confusion in the minds of youth though the power of pen. Their prejudice speak for themselves: they live in posh areas away from the influence of religious zealots but at the same time would defend the importance of theocratic govt in Khyber-Pakhthunkhwa in their discourse. Together with their croonies, they have pushed us to the stone age by deactivating the thinking ability in our youth.
On top of it ,there are so called educated people who not only try to defend this religeous fundamentalist version of Pakistani state but also intellectualise it hence offering them selves to be the next victims of the same ideology.
"O Pakhtuns!, Your house has fallen into ruin, let us rebuild it".
"I want to see my people educated and enlightened. A people with a vision and a strong sense of justice, who can carve out a future for themselves in harmony with nature".
I am a Pashtun from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and I hate Punjabi-Pakistan (that is what it is) and ISI for slaughtering Pashtuns of Afghanistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa through the Mullah-military alliance. The draconian Zia's era and the creation of religious zealots and the present plight of ours is not hidden from anyone. Who is funding these suicide bombers and allowing them to create anarchy and fear? Who has tried to destabilize Afghanistan in the past and in present times? Who have brought these in our lands? Pakistan is a rogue state on earth and today is a threat not only to us but to global security as well, owing to the presence of nukes.

Since the Mullah gave their vote for the creation of a theocratic state the reality of which is getting revealed with every passing day to its lovers as well as its haters.

I wish it was true. Just read Dr Ayesha Siddiqa's Military Inc. Please learn it now if you havent learnt it till now. This "your" ISI only works for the vested interests of the military elite repeat military elite.

Interestingly they have been and are worried about Afghanistan. If they were worried about their own country we would have no objection as that is their job which should be respected. The strategic depth policy and the wet dreams of making Afghanistan as Pakistan's 5th province was due to worrying about Afghanistan.Similarly Mujahideen and Taliban are other examples of their worry about Afghanisatn which resulted in infiltration and interferecne into Afghan internal affairs.
